It appears we are living in the future on the USCIS app.  Apparently my wife's EAD was produced 1/13/2024, but today is the 12th....

Same thing happened to us! 🤣 on the 22nd of december we received a notice saying "on the 23rd we scheduled your biometrics appointment for the 9th of January"...

But now it's even more ridiculous, case is showing as "actively being reviewed" even though in the documents we have a combo approval notice saying our combo card was approved on January 10. I guess they still need to log it in the system?

Did anyone have the same experience (i.e. approval notice in the documents section while the case status says is still actively being reviewed)?

  2. I'll throw in my two cents from our experience, in case it helps.

We answered "yes" on that question on page 13, part 8 question 61 and have so far not received an RFIE or an RFE. We have simply received a notice of receipt, and soon after our online access codes.

However, that's all we received. No biometrics appointment notice as of yet and the myprogress simply says that it is taking longer than expected.

So, maybe there is some ground for the theory that cases with RFIE get processed quicker.

  3. Hi everyone! I just learned that there is a thread of AOS by month as well! Happy to see many familiar faces from the K1 forums.

Just to give a quick overview of our timeline:

    16 Oct: submitted packet

    18 Oct: packet received

    26 Oct: NOA1

Still waiting for biometrics to be scheduled sigh. Our local office is Providence, RI.

As many are mentioning, the my USCIS tracking seems to be very off as both my AP and EAD would have been approved weeks ago lol. The estimate for AOS shows 4 months, but I highly doubt it.

Glad to see so many of you already in the biometrics process!

In the email I received it says that if your uscis approval date is before the dates they are now working on (8 June), you should inquire again.

I guess they know they are backlogged and it can't hurt to inquire weekly via the public inquiry form.

Worst case, you will get the "awaiting data entry message" again and again.

My first email said the same.

From how I see it, the assumption would be that USCIS sends the case to NVC the same moment we receive our NOA2 and therefore the NCV would receive it within a couple of days, which is not actually the case. If you look ohe published timeframes, it says “working on cases that NVC received on xyz”, not approved on xyz… I hope I’m wrong, but this is how I worked it in my head to make sense.

  6. Hi everyone!

We just received the physical letter that USCIS approved our petition (our case changed to approved on 31/05/2023).

I very curious to know if everyone receives the same letter. Our says “We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State NVC” and includes the address in New Hampshire.

My understanding was that it is taking them 90 days to actually send it, so I’m confused why this letter says that they sent it? Do you have the same?
