  1. Same thing happened to us! 🤣 on the 22nd of december we received a notice saying "on the 23rd we scheduled your biometrics appointment for the 9th of January"... But now it's even more ridiculous, case is showing as "actively being reviewed" even though in the documents we have a combo approval notice saying our combo card was approved on January 10. I guess they still need to log it in the system? Did anyone have the same experience (i.e. approval notice in the documents section while the case status says is still actively being reviewed)?
  2. Quick update from our side We just received a notification from the case tracker that a biometrics appointment has been scheduled! Great way to end the week.... now we'll have to wait and see when is the appointment!
  3. I'll throw in my two cents from our experience, in case it helps. We answered "yes" on that question on page 13, part 8 question 61 and have so far not received an RFIE or an RFE. We have simply received a notice of receipt, and soon after our online access codes. However, that's all we received. No biometrics appointment notice as of yet and the myprogress simply says that it is taking longer than expected. So, maybe there is some ground for the theory that cases with RFIE get processed quicker.
  4. Hi everyone! I just learned that there is a thread of AOS by month as well! Happy to see many familiar faces from the K1 forums. Just to give a quick overview of our timeline: 16 Oct: submitted packet 18 Oct: packet received 26 Oct: NOA1 Still waiting for biometrics to be scheduled sigh. Our local office is Providence, RI. As many are mentioning, the my USCIS tracking seems to be very off as both my AP and EAD would have been approved weeks ago lol. The estimate for AOS shows 4 months, but I highly doubt it. Glad to see so many of you already in the biometrics process!
  5. Just checked our caste tracker and it changed to in transit! We’re in Naples, Italy, consulate.
  6. Just received our case number via public inquiry NOA2: 30 May 2023 (72 days ago)
  7. My first email said the same. From how I see it, the assumption would be that USCIS sends the case to NVC the same moment we receive our NOA2 and therefore the NCV would receive it within a couple of days, which is not actually the case. If you look ohe published timeframes, it says “working on cases that NVC received on xyz”, not approved on xyz… I hope I’m wrong, but this is how I worked it in my head to make sense.
  8. NOA2: 30 May 2023 first inquiry via public form: no record on day 30 since NOA2 second inquiry via research email on day 42 since NOA2: today answered The National Visa Center (NVC) recently received your immigrant visa petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Your petition is now waiting for data entry into our systems.
  9. @Warp005 I've read somewhere else on the forum to email: NVCResearch@state.gov
  10. Could anyone please share a template of the email they have been sending to NVC to check if their case was received? We are approaching 30 days this week and I wanted to do a first attempt once we pass the mark (way optimistic, I know...)
  11. Hi everyone! We just received the physical letter that USCIS approved our petition (our case changed to approved on 31/05/2023). I very curious to know if everyone receives the same letter. Our says “We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State NVC” and includes the address in New Hampshire. My understanding was that it is taking them 90 days to actually send it, so I’m confused why this letter says that they sent it? Do you have the same?
  12. Just got out approval!!!! Checked like 100 times today and then it suddenly went to “Case approved”. Noa 1: 19 May 2022 Noa 2: 31 May 2023 Wishing everyone a speedy process!
  13. Hi everyone! I have been lurking here for a while and now that April is officially a hot month, I thought it was time to introduce myself! It's nice having someone going through the same process! NOA: 19 May 2022 Consulate: Italy
