  1. I want to move as soon I have the visa. My options are now 1 - Try with jobs offer like the 2019 2 - My wife move to US soon and start to work there. In 2025 she will be able to sponsor me (in 2024 I think is almost impossible) 3 - Start a bussines in US where my wife is the owner. But she can continue live in Italy. In 2025 she will can sponsor me, I hope. I think is better that the company is a US comaony and that my wife, that's US citizen, is the owner so she can have income to sponsor me. After all, the requested amount is only about $ 25,000 What do you think about this 3 options, or others if you have
  2. Well, let's say you didn't give me hope. In any case I will try again with the job offers, provided I have some at the right time. Regarding this, I would like to ask you if when they ask me for the I-864 form I will have a time limit to present it, under penalty of forfeiture of my Green Card application, or does it remain on standby until I have the right documents? I could delay the medical visits because they are valid for 6 months but in this case I would block my entire process. In 2019, I filled out form I-864 indicating only assets in cash and in Italy for a total of approximately $48,000. But that didn't unlock my visa. I only got approval after submitting a written offer, on letterhead from a US company, for both my wife and myself. I know I qualify for the Green Card, except for the economic ones, and I don't want to give up on this issue. My wife is a US citizen and therefore she can enter whenever she wants without constraints. The problem is me. But by blocking me they would also block my wife. I didn't give up in 2019 when the problem was the same and I won't give up in 2023. Therefore I ask you, from the top of your experiences and skills in immigration matters, to think of alternative solutions. I have an idea, if possible: I have been working in the olive oil sector in Italy for many years. I could set up a small company in the US that imports olive oil from Italy. I could generate adequate income to sponsor me. I could be the owner of the company or it could be my wife, I don't know which is the best solution. It could be an idea? Nicolò
  3. Maybe the consulte made a mistake but the story was real and accurate. When I got the visa they gave me 3 months to enter the US. I don't know if it was different for the others.
  4. Yes I returned my old Green Card in early 2023. I've been out of the US for three years and honestly I would have had a lot of trouble proving that I hadn't abandoned my Green Card. So I returned it and I'm starting over from the beginning. I want to make sure I can get in. I could not abandon everything here in Italy and leave for the US with the risk of not entering and having lost everything, work and home. I have already addressed this topic in another thread. In any case, believe it or not, in 2019 I got the Green Card without any sponsors. Maybe because it was the days before Christmas and the official wanted to give us a present. Or perhaps, more realistically, my wife and I had a written job offer from the same US-based company. Now we are in Italy. I hope there is some other way to avoid the obstacle. I will certainly try to submit written job offers again. But I was thinking that maybe there are insurance companies that can sponsor me, upon payment of an annual premium until I have my demonstrable income. A bit like it happens for a guarantor of the bail as it happens for car insurance. After all, the sponsor can be anyone.
  5. No, it's 100% accurate. In 2019 I had no sponsor but when I sent the 2 job offers to the consulate in Naples, they approved the visa. Unfortunately living in Italy we can never have income in the US. How could my wife return to the US if she is US Income Constraint? It's a contradiction. That's why I would like new suggestions or ideas to get around the obstacle. Thanks
  6. Hi, now this is my situation. My wife was born in US and have double citizenship (US and Italian). Now she filled I-130 form for me (I'm italian). We live in Italy and have no income in US. How can we obtain green card if we don't have joint-sponsor o co-sponsor? If we have money cash on our bank account? Is it valid? Or are there insurance that can cover us until we get a job there? In 2019 I obtained my first Green Card being in the same situation. In that situation I got the Green Card when I show to Naples Consulate two jobs offers, for me and my wife. Could be this a way to obtain GC? Or others ideas???? Regards Nicolò
  7. so you are telling me that if my wife wants to go to the US and work there she can do so because she is a US citizen but she cannot bring her husband together without a proper visa even though she has already applied for a visa. In our case we have to wait for the conclusion of the process, until the visa here in Italy. There are other ways to speed up?
  8. Thanks for all who read my post and many thanks for those who replied. I would like to explore another way to get to the US hopefully faster. My wife is a US citizen. So she can enter the US whenever she wants too if she doesn't have a job yet. Right? If we moved to the US without me having a visa or maybe with only my Form I-130 approved, how would I enter the US? With ESTA? How could I expedite getting my IR-1 visa if I was already in the US. My wife could start working somewhere right away and we would rent a house. Could this be a viable way or would it just cause me problems? Do you have any valuable suggestions for me? THX
  9. Thanks to everyone's. Now I've cleares ideas. The timing showed is only for the I-130 form. Then, if approved, my petitioner, my wife, will be contact to file other documents or evidence. In 2019 I applied and obtained the same visa and I remember these steps. I hope that my timing is faster because my evidence and documents are the same of 2019 because nothing is changed. In February 2023 I returned my old Green Card as I had been out of the US for 3 years. In the return, I mentioned my new intention to apply for a new Green Card. And when I applied for Form I-130, in April 2023, I mentioned my return of the Green Card which happened 2 months earlier. However, I have submitted all the required documents. Now I believe that my timing has decreased, so quickly, because the documents presented are the photocopy of those presented in 2019 and for which I obtained my first visa already. In 2019 I submitted the I-130 form in July and I obtained the visa at the end of December, i.e. in about 6 months. Now things have changed but I am confident that by the end of this year I will get to the end of my process. For the record, I already know that I could have entered the US with my old Green Card because it is valid until 2029 but I didn't want to risk leaving my whole world here in Italy and "trying" to enter. If they had blocked me I would have been left with nothing in hand, in Italy and US. And it wouldn't have been pleasant to be in a similar situation. And I think that trying to do everything by following their rules is a good presentation ticket. Or no?hanks to everyones Nicolò
  10. Hi everyone, I'm Italian and I'm married to a US citizen. I applied for a family visa via Form I-130 in April 2023. The first month processing time was 13 months. Now, on my USCIS account, it shows 5 months. Is this the timeline needed to obtain the visa (including medical visits and interviews at the consulate in Naples) or is it the timeline for the I-130 form to be approved and from that moment there will be medical visits and an interview, therefore another timeline? I would like to understand when I will able to move and schedule in time all the trip. It's not easy move all our life to an other country having few months available. THX you I-130 on 06 june 2023.pdf
  11. I shipped everything with DHL and I have the delivery receipt. I also have a copy of the I407 sent. How I can to be sure that my Green Card was be cancel so I can submit a new I130?
  12. Hi, I'm Italian and my wife was born in the US. She lived in the USA until she was eight years old then she came to Italy because her parents are Italian. She has dual citizenship. 4 years ago we applied for and obtained a green card for me by applying Form I-130. So we entered the US and stayed there for 6 months working for a US company. Then we returned to Italy for family matters and due to the Covid pandemic, we were stranded. I lost my US job and we resumed life in Italy. Having been in Italy for more than 3 years, I returned my Green Card about 2 weeks ago because it is our intention to return to the USA and therefore I want to apply for a new Green Card. My situation has not changed from 2019 to today. I have always been married to a US citizen. In practice, I will have to fill out Form I-130 and I-130a as for the last time, adding my stay in the USA. The documents to be sent are the same, but updated to the present. Does anyone have experience with a second green card? Will the process be the same or faster? Could there be obstacles due to my return of my first Green Card? Thanks to all the people who want to waste some time reading my post.
