Gracias por sus aportes, y tienen razon creo que esta niña de Nicaragua esta aplicando la CR1 (asi es?), sera por eso que le dieron la fecha los de NVC , y creo que la embajada de Guate es otra de las que se mantienen con mucha demanda, si ustedes vieran la cantidad de gente que esta alli parada dia a diaaaaa, y de ese monton 2 talvez obtienen la visa, es desanimante lo que cobran $$$$ para poner cara de perro y decir NO, creo que por eso mismo la mayoria de gente le tiene fobia a las embajadas.

Sabes q yo tambien a menudo me meto en el foro de los colombianos y algo notorio ahi es el hecho q todos se ayudan los unos a otros y se apoyan incodicionalmente lo cual me parece formidable pq a fin de cuentas ese es el proposito principal del foro.

Tu siempre te has caracterizado por ayudar a todos lo q lo necesiten y eso es lo que cuenta y habla mucho del tipo de persona q eres.

La pobre dama pensaba q por tener un titulo universitario se podia dar el lujo de denigrar y hablar pura sandeces en el foro,se le olvido q la clase no se mide por un titulo universitario sino por la decencia y honestidad de la gente.

No estoy enterada de ningun cambio pero eso varia de embajada a embajada,en el caso de muchas embajadas latinoamericanas es el NVC el que programa las entrevistas basado en la capacidad consular de cada lugar, en otras palabras la embajada notifica al NVC cuando tienen citas disponibles y es asi como el NVC te programa la entrevista. No se cuanto se tarda en Guatemala pero en nuestro caso solo fueron 7 semanas y eso q la embajada de El Salvador es una de las mas ocupadas.

Hola mis amigos, la entrevista fue el Jueves y me dijeron que mandarian el pasaporte por Cargo Expreso.

Hoy llame a cargo expreso y me dijeron que le embajada tarda de quince dias en adelante para mandar la visa. Como se podram imaginar, estoy un poquito decepsionado.

Hi my friends. My interview was last Thursday, I was told that my passport will be sent via Gagro Expreso.

I called Cargo Expreso this morning and they told me that the embassy delivers the passport after 15 days of the interview.

As you can see, I am a bit dissapointed with the news. I was not expecting this.

Pues si que ya tienes todo lo de tu perrito, que bueno, al menos no sentiras ese cambio asi tan radical, aunque segun dicen en los mismos foros al principio ni cuenta te das de donde estas porque el amor disfraza cualquier sentimiento de nostalgia, luego es que parece te das cuenta de que los tuyos se quedaron lejos, pero bueno, a cada quien le ira diferente, en mi caso, estoy al reves, casi toda mi familia esta en Estados Unidos, asi que lejos de dejar a alguien, eventualmente me reecontrare con ellos, no estaremos en el mismo estado pero usa es usa, jajajajaja, repasa bien todos los detalles una y otra vez, que no es por nada pero los hombres son "un poquito despistados", no creo que por eso seas "sin pisto" verdad, cuidense , y que no se nos muera el foro, por mi parte prometo aunque sea poner HOLA todos los dias para que nuevos C.A que entren y necesiten info la encuentren facilmente......

Si es dificil vivir lejos del grupo familiar. Yo ya he vivido esa experiencia, estuve lejos de mi familia por seis años, por motivos de estudios en el extranjero. No fue facil, pero luego se va expandiendo el grupo de colegas y amigos.

No se realmente ni como prepararme para la entrevista, todavia tengo tiempo. La primera cita es solo para dejar los documentos, luego te programan la entrevista por lo general, una semana despues. Pero como la proxima semana es semana santa, me parece que la entrevisa sera en realidad en dos semanas.

Vale Abby. Si de plano lo quiere sencillito; comprese un pote de curry y marine el pollo - de ahi o bien lo hornea o lo sazona en la sarten. El mejor curry lo he encontrado en Trader Joes.

MI favorita receta de pollo super rápida es, however: Cebolla y rayada, jalapeños toreados en aceite. Cuando estén bien al punto los retira del fuego y luego panfríe el pollito (yo lo hago en mantequilla reducida como los hindúes). Retira el pollo cuando esté listo para servir, le espolvorea queso rayado (NO CHEDDAR, EEEEEWWWW) y lo topa con las cebollas y chiles.

WOW Len mil gracias suena facilisimo y rapido, me he reido como loca yo solita viendo mi post donde me referia a TENGO UNAS PECHUGAS DE POLLO jajajajajjajaj yeah right!!! me parecio sera q solo yo me fije??? espero q si...

Forget the stats and the odds.. There is no 100% guarantee for a happy marriage based on stats.

Another reason I'd like to see some stats is because there are SO many filipina women that have been married before and have difficulty getting out of the previous marriage(s), (as witnessed on here) based on that fact alone the success rate doesnt seem to be too high, im a little concerned that a lot of these women (mine included) just want a green card. From what I can see, she loves me very much, but i cant help but have a little doubt. I'm very sceptical when it comes to this, I have one failed marriage already (not a foreigner) I certainly dont want another one.

Why do you want to see numbers?,nothing..absolutely nothing is garantee in life,stats don't have anyhting to do with love.. like I mentioned before if you're not ready to compromise,most likely if won't be susscesful. There are plenty of happy marriages among Philipinas as far I'm concern and NO,NOT everybody is after a green card.

You know, I would love to see some stats on how well immigration marriages last compared to the 'norm'. I would like to think that we work so hard at being together in the first place, that working at having a happy marriage will be second nature.

And bear in mind, that in the old days no one lived together before marriage, and it seemed to work just fine, perhaps better?

I liked what you had to say Scarlett, however your comment about the old days, well, i dont entirely agree with that, people back then stayed in miserable marriages because they felt it was the right thing to do and put on a happy face for the rest of the world.

Every experience is diferent,every couple is diferent, I only spent 22 days with my husband prior to his moving to the USA but the thing is that we always knew from the very begining that we wanted to be together and spend the rest of our lives together and after six months living the REAL LIFE as a married couple I only have to say that it was the decision I've ever made in my entire life,not everything is perfect don't get me wrong but I can honestly say we're very happy together. If you are experiencing doubts in your relationshio perhaps it may be wise to wait and get to know each other better to make sure you're making the right choice for the both of you.

I think it would be a good idea to have this thread for Central America since we are such small countries, especially El Salvador, so I figured that we are under representet here at VJ. For Example, I have not found many active members going through the K-1 process at this time in El Salvador, there are past recounts but not actual ones, it makes me believe that I am the only one but this is not statistically possible. So Colombians have their posts, so do English spoken Caribbian Islands, well we can too and it is important because we have our own timelines and process.

Se admite comentarios en Español pues es el idioma de centroamerica, sin embargo, el ingles es el idioma oficial de VJ, asi que si puedes, el ingles es preferido pues otros usuarios se pueden beneficiar de tus comentarios.

Great idea on creating this thread! You are right, there aren't very many active Central american VJers around here.

IMO, we should keep this thread in english AND spanish, as that might be the reason why many foreign fiances do not post. And also, one of the purposes of the regional forums, is that people can post in their native language.

¡Hola a todos! Espero hayan tenido un feliz finde. Por acá en Denver hizo un calor de los mil demonios, que cosa tan horrible. Ayer fuimos a varios concesionarios a ver carros porque los cierran y no hay vendedores cansones encima de uno y con tanto calor no pudimos seguir de "shopping".

De resto, sólo piscineamos, hicimos un asado y vimos pelis.
