    I don't get the joke.

Well with Kaydee - he starts with "Liberal" and slaps a couple of derogatory words in front and behind.

He doesn't realise that it makes him look sillier than the people he's aiming his criticisms at.

Still don't get it.....What's that have to do with my fridge?

Because your thinking is like a fridge - cold and a large pain in the ###.

  4. Because her newborn baby with Down's (and pregnant teen daughter) are looking for her because she's been gone for so many days...

Oh! And Dmitriy Medvedev Vladimir is looking for her too and must tell her ... "Spying on my mainland from bedroom window?! Aiaiaiai, woman! You pay!" That, and he thought she said she wouldn't mind engaging in a Putin vs. Palin face-off...

Yeah, this is getting very dirty

  5. Hi Everyone! :star: Good day!! :star:

I am still waiting for my approval too, I see lots of May filers are waiting too. Hope we get good news from VSC soon!

I hope May filers who received NOA2 last week, will get interview dates soon too and everything goes well. :star:

    Privet Nat! Dobrey vecher!

Good day to you too! I'm still waiting, waiting, waiting for the NOA2 as well...

Do you happen to know if anyone else with a fiance from Russia has been approved recently? I just can't help wondering a little...

By the way, my Vasya is from SPb too! Yay! I am actually going there for a week at the end of the month (even though it may not be the wisest thing to do concerning the petition is still pending and all, but.... :P ). He's said this past summer was so much colder than last summer, yes?

Anyways, best of luck and please tell us if you get a touch or, even better, approved!

Here's to the remaining May filers being approved soon!!! (L)

  6. Hello, im new. I was just wondering how do you see that the application has been touched? Because when i check the status it just says received and pending... Got my NOA May 29th, no updates since. Me and my girl are so sad, I've been waiting for her to come here for 2 years... and this is just dragging more now, almost 3 years... The reason for the wait is I just got my citizenship in May... So how do i see that it has been touched? And if it hasn't, does it mean i got long time to wait still...? Thank you and wish ALL OF YOU LUCK!

    Privet Yevgeniy!

We have similar timelines... I, too, have not received NOA2 yet, so please know you are not alone! This really is a hideous process...

Have you created an account on online with USCIS yet? If not, here's the link: USCIS Website Once you sign-up/log on you can see your "touches" (change of the date. It doesn't really say anything more than that though, unless you have an RFE or were approved).

Best of luck and I hope you get approved ASAP (and everyone else still waiting)!!!

We have very close timelines (I sent the petition to USCIA on May 30)

  7. Hey everyone!

I sent in the I-129F to VSC August 30 and imy NOA1 says is dated as June 5. Do you think I should call them to check up on our status? Apparently some May and June filers petitions have been transferred to CSC from VSC (???). How did they even find this info out? Would USCIS have sent them out a letter? Maybe I should call USCIS?

Also, I had to update my mailing address earlier in August (I moved) and I got a letter from USCIS confirming that they'd updated my info. On it it lists some of my basic info about our case. However, where it says "Your USCIS Account Number (A-Number):" the answer says "Information not Available" and where it says "Caller indicated they are:" is reads "Applicant or petitioner". So.... shouldn't I have an account number by now or do I not get one til after receiving the NOA2?? Also, shouldn't it read "Petitioner" and not either/or for both? I'm confused, worried and spazzing out a bit! Help anybody? :crying: :crying: :crying:

    Thanks so much guys!!!

Best of luck to you all!

  9. Thank you Shaz! :star:

Looks like Vermont is back on track again.

What surprises me (or maybe not) is that USCIS web-site still has our case as "pending". I called NVC last night and they confirmed receipt of our case on their side.

Oh well! Whatever it is, I am so happy to have the approval notice in hand!!!

So get ready June - September is the month!

Good luck and speedy approval to everyone! :star::star::star::star::star:

    Congratulations! Pozdravlyayu! Woot!!! :star::star::star::dancing:

...and here's to hoping that this'll be the start of a new trend among the rest of us! :clock:

Best of luck to you both!!! :D

  10. Hey everyone!

    :help:

I have somewhat of a dumb, technical question... I am trying to update my timeline in my "signature" box but I keep on getting an error message saying that it is too long. Well, I wish it were longer since then we'd be further ahead (haha) but obviously it is not that long. Any ideas what I am doing wrong or what I am not doing?

    thanks!

And I hope we start to see more NOA2's drifting in... so tired of going back and forth between #119 - 122 on Igor's list. Grrr! :crying:

    Hi Anka,

Unfortunately I have no idea how to fix your timeline issue, but! regarding Igor's List... Rumor has it that once you break 100, you could feasibly get your petition approved at any moment--it's basically fair game in there. So good luck, and I hope to start hearing good news from Vermont June filers soon!

Really? So usually when someone breaks #100, the chances of them being approved is pretty good?! Or does breaking #100 just mean one's chances of receiving any type of notification - approval (woot!), RFE (grrr...) or denial (god forbid that one) - is much more likely?

But I hope you meant breaking #100 usually means an approval and not the other notifications... Yeah, this USCIS system makes less and less sense to me every day it seems - not that it ever really made sense to me in the first place! But it's nice that Vasya and I are no longer stuck on #'s 123 and/or 119 (was for about a month!). Now we're on #113!

How are all you guys doing so far? Any more approvals today? :star:

  12. I'll be living in the greater DC area, most likely (if everything works out) in Alexandria, VA. :)

    Hi Chibby!

That's so funny you'll be living in Alexandria... I'm from the DC-area - Silver Spring, Md. to be precise. However, I just moved to Arlington, Va., which is the next district over from Alexandria! So cool to know that there's some D.C. in the house here!!! Maybe we'll end up neighbors...haha!

Good luck! (and once you get to Alexandria, you'll appreciate having all the embassies so close by!)

  13. I'm totally lost... Does the USC (me) have to have a bunch of vaccinations as well? What's all this about Gardisil - is this a requirement? Also, about when should my fiance plan to go have is medical exam and what vaccines must he have/updated? And, lastly, what is the time-frame that all his medical exam and vaccinations must be done within? What's the expiration?

    Thanks so much!!!

Sorry for the million of random questions!

Grrr... I hope someone here (myself included) gets fondled, erm, I mean, touched soon... ;)))

  14. Hi people! I really need some advice and knowledge from you helpful lot!

I sent in our I-129F on May 30, 2008 to Vermont (VCS) and USCIS sent out NOA1 June 5, 2008. Currently, we are still waiting for the NOA2... However, I suddenly had to move (end of last month/moved in beginning of August-frankly, I'm still moving!). Now, I know I am supposed to let USCIS know if I move "immediately" but I am so worried that by doing so it will greatly slow down our case process... will it? I moved only about 15-20 minutes away from my old place in Maryland, however, I now am living in Virginia (god help me!). But I am still registered with my old address (license, car tags, insurance info, health, mobile, etc. have not been changed to my new address), am still -and plan to- remain a resident of Maryland, and I am able to keep receiving mail from that address which USCIS has me down as where I live.

So, that all said, how important is it for me to tell USCIS about this? For them, is it a matter of how to best access my legal records and so forth, or is it simply just to know where to send any mail to? Or is it a whole other slew of things (which I wouldn't be surprised about)? Since I have not "officially" changed my address yet and for now plan to keep receiving mail at the old address, and to remain a Maryland resident, should I bother notifying them? And, lastly, if I must notify them, how much will in doing so hinder our waiting period?

Thanks so much! And good luck to everyone!

    :star::star::star:

    (L)

P.S. I should probably mention that I co-own the place where I am living now... so complicated...

  15. Hey Anka! Looks like we sent our I-129F on the same day and received our NOA1 on the same day. I have been posting in the May filers but maybe we are June filers. I don't think it really matters as long as we are connecting somewhere. We all can use the support and encouragment! :) It also looks like there are 2 June threads.

Well anyway....best of luck to everyone!!!

That's cool we have the same dates!

I guess I'll just have to toggle back and forth between the May and June filers..aww well!

    Best of luck to you!

    -

  16. I sent the I-129f to Vermont on May 30. Was received June 5. So... am I a May filer or a June filer?

Such a dumb question, I know....

No it's not a dumb question, i think you have a choice of the group you want to belong....JUNE FILLERS or MAY FILLERS, the bottom line is success.........good luck to all of us fillers

Thanks for your reassurance/input! I guess I'll stick with June filers :D B)

Good luck to us all! :star::thumbs::star:

  17. Hi everyone!

I'm sending off the I-129 petition for the K-1 app. I am aiming to have it in the mail by 5pm. Finally.

However I have 2 questions that have been nagging me lately that need answering. Here goes:

    1. I've read that people have highlighted pertinent info in their evidence doc's (namely, emails. phone bills, etc)...But then I read something on the USCIS site saying not to use a highlighter... ...I am thinking I probably read something that concerned some other petition/application, so just to make sure: Should I use a highlighter to point out relative info iin my evidence to be submitted (i.e., dates, names...)? Or should I not highlight anything? Anyone know the answer or if there is some rule about this?Highlighting is ok - don't do it on official forms though - and I wouldn't go crazy with it.

    2. About translating: Are secondary evidence items--like copies of letters, cards and emails-- also considered as "documents" that must be translated? If so, do I seriously need to have a professional translator's certification for a couple of love-letters and emails? Or can I or a friend translate everything (following the format, of course!)????Letters, cards etc are not documents - Birth Certificates, Divorce/marriage cetificates etc are...

    one more small question...sorry (F)(F)(F)

    3. All paperwork will be held together by ACCO fasteners() Now, am I supposed to put thr ACCO'd it all in a folder or some kind of covering? Or is it fine to just sticl them all in the envelope and ship, as-is?? It's fine to put them all in an envelope as is...

Thanks so much for all and any help!

    Anna

    :star::star::star:

The answer given to question two above is incorrect with respect to anything submitted to USCIS with the petition. The good news is that none of what you mention as "secondary evidence" really needed with the petition. Evidence of bona fide relationship can wait until the interview, where it need not be translated. You can concentrate on primary evidence of meeting within the past two years, like passport stamps and boarding passes that will be in English anyway. If you want to include secondary evidence like a few pictures, not need to translate photographs.

The principle is USCIS service centers in the US do not employ adjudicators with foreign language skills as a part of their job description but Consulates do. All official documents must be accompanied by certified English translations but all documents of any kind that you want USCIS to consider must have those translations, so avoid sending such documents if you can.

Thank you so much for your helpful advice. Sometimes the smallest things are the most complicated...(well for me anyways!)
