  1. Dear Captain Ewok:

The link you provide is ok...But a user has to select a specific Embassy/Consulate or CIS office to read reviews.

I was thinking more of one forum that combines the two so the reader can get a general overview. The reader would not have to select an Embassy or Office to read reports. It would be a continuous thread instead.

Also, the thread should not be for small problems or irritations, but for more serious mishandling of cases and misconduct by USCIS/DOS personnel.

Having a thread like this, might serve some benefit to alert/inform people if there is a repeated offender;. Be it a staff person in an Embassy or a specific office.

I agree to Nutty ............ there shd be this forum .where we can alert future people of rubbish people and offenders !!!

  5. Oh thats great .thanks a lot ... i wd look into I-864EZ and IM u if i need any help ....thanks so much for the prompt reply...God bless u !!

    a) correct for two people like sponsor and immigrant, and NO dependents like children.

B ) NO  NOT NEEDED If your income is above the 125% line. If you are below the line, then bank balance used an asset needs to be 3 times the shortfall of income below the line. That is if income is 1000 below the line, then asset needs to be $3000.

    c) If you can show income above 125%, then you do not need to list your home. A house is considered to be not a liquid asset, you cannot liquidate a home quickly for cash, and this would leave your without a home.

    Have you considered using I-864EZ?

I-864EZ only requires past year's IRS return.

If income is above 125% povertyline, then use the I-864EZ, it only requires last years simple IRS transcript, or copy of Tax return (1040/1099/W2) Employer letter is optional, I-864EZ is for: (NO asset data like bank letters, NO joint sponsor and one immigrant).

    http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

We used I-864EZ and only included past 3 years IRS transcripts.

  6. Hi all,

needed to verify somethings regarding financial evidences and poverty level.I wd be doing AOS for my man from india from B1/B2.

    a) Now as i have seen in VJ the required level to be shown for Ohio (thats falls under 48 Contiguous States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam) is $17,112 / yr before taxes ........which makes it 125% above poverty level. Right ??

    (SOURCE - http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864P.pdf )

b)Also i have to show 3 yrs tax returns & my bank statements ............................ now is it necessary that the bank accounts has to hold huge amount of money ?? or a bank acccount with regular ongoing debits & credits as normall does is sufficient.

    c) I am self employed ........... i am on a disability income.i will show my disability income + my other small incomes thru my classes etc making it quite above 125 % thing / yr. is that okk !!! I can also add my house value if necessary.

All help and advices aare appreciated.....Thanks so much.

  7. hahahaha I kow that ...asking this for one of my friends who is coming to usa............... just needed to know

    a) i heard someone on B1/b2 had his "NO EOS, NO COS, and no AOS " stamped at the back of his I-194.He was a doctor and went to attend some exam.he wanted to change his status later to F1 but cdnt do so as he was stamped with thing like this . So is it a general pratice at the POE to stamp this whenever someone gets a 4-5 months visa ??

    B) what are the grounds that a "NO EOS, NO COS, and no AOS " thing is stamped........ i guess its is done if the POE officer gets suspicious of your intent of visit........... otherwise they dnt usually stamp it ..... am i correct .... ???

  8. Hi all ,

can someone throw some light on this ??

    a) what are the grounds people can do aos from b1/b2 visa ???

    B) Do people need to inform the poe officer that they want to do aos later !!

  9. Also I was looking through VJ and found this on this post http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;hl=disability

Meriem_setif is kind enough to write the following on Jul 2 2006, 09:50 PM .

"I am on Social Security Disability due to a severe back injury. When I first sent in the petition I was worried about the I -134 and my ability to be a sponsor by myself. I could not find much information about this on Visa Journey or anywhere else. For those that are on SS Disability it can be used for basis of support for the I-134 affidavit of Support, if it is above the required amount set by the poverty guidelines. My son also gets benefits from social security because he is a minor living in my household, I was able to include this income also. Also I get child support which is court ordered with a withholding order signed by a judge. The money is taken by my ex's employer and payed to me. I was able to use this also. Ok, for the interview I used the original benefit award statements for mine and my son's benefits. I also used the new benefit statements we received in January 2006. I dont have to pay income tax on these benefits so I did not have tax returns. I emailed the embassy about this and they said to write a statement that explains why I do not have to file income tax. I wrote the statement and quoted some information from the Soc. Sec. website that explains why I do not have to file. I included a copy of the withholding order for child support. I had my bank letter with my deposits for one year. I included the last 12 bank statements that showed my benefits direct deposited into my account. It was all accepted by the embassy and we got our visa without a co-sponsor. "

pls advice VJ ers and pls extend your comments on my situation !!!

  13. Hi. I have a question what is the minimum salary what somebody have to make without that somebody have to cosponsor?!

    Good Morning,

It depends on the number of people that are in the sponsor's household (children, or other dependants). Here is a link that will show you the exact dollar amount. (Shown is 100% and 125%, you will want to meet 125%.) Source

    HI ,

is the povrty level guidelines at uscis site that u gave is a year salary ???

e.g. $17,112 as its said the 125% of poverty level in 48 Contiguous States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam. So is it annually ?? pls answer though i know this is a silly question .............. thanks !!!!

  14. For the interview stage, if possible get a notarized Affidavit from your mother and brother. You don't have to mention your dad. The Indian Consulate likes to hear that you have family approval, it will help you a lot.

Everything else sounds good, best wishes for a smooth visa journey!

Thanks !! I wd look for more help and advice n the future !!!
