  1. hello hello I just want to give an update, I got my renewal B1/B2 visa from the mail today . When I'm filling in the application I explained that I have plan to see my husband in November and since my visa will get expired in October and I'm still on process for the I-130 with no definite time waiting , I'm gonna need to have my visa renewed. I had the interview waiver type and send all the document needed to the Embassy , and within like 5 days I got my passport back with the new visa (5 years length) which is the standard time for Indonesian's passport . So.. I'm happy 🙂 Thank you all
  2. Hello, my PD is Oct 17. 2022 and it still said the case is taking longer time than expected .. at the mean time my B1/B2 visa is about to expired in October 2023 I'd like to renew the B1/B2 visa before it got expired but I was afraid that the embassy going to reject it because my I-130 process and are they going to suspect me with the possibility of overstay ? the last visit to see my Husband was in March 2023 and few times before that too. With this uncertainty on the timeline now, I kinda feel anxious not to be able to visit when the visa is about to expired too (it is easier for me to visit him vs the otherwise ) Has anyone had the experience of renewing B1/B2 while you were waiting for the I-130 ? Thanks and God bless ! Mel
  3. I was a US green-card holder years ago, then abandoned it (the USCIS approved my I-407 - Record on Abandonment Lawful Permanent Resident Status) . I now have a B1/B2 visa, and my (US citizen) spouse is filing an I-130. In the Beneficiary Info section, it asks whether I was EVER in immigration proceedings. I assume I need to say Yes due to my previous I-130? If I select Yes however, we're not sure what to do with the next set of questions. I never had a "proceeding" - I summited a form by mail to abandon my previous green card (as explained above) . How do we handle this on the I-130 ? Thank you in advance before Mel
  4. Thank you for all the responses, I'm married now, so we are on process of submitting the I-130 now, and yea.. there are some confusion on few of the parts on the online I-130 form so , I will open a new thread and hoping that members VJ can help me sort it out.. Thank you Mel
  5. Thank you for the feedback .. 🙂 gave me the peace
  6. Hello, My fiancée is a U.S. Citizen, we are planning to get married in the U.S on Sept 23rd , I will fly there on my B1/B2 tourist visa and I will return to my home country after the ceremony and my fiancee will start to process the I-130 after my return home. I'm confused about the 30/60 days rules from entering the US (in my case- getting married) and I'm trying to get clear explanations from few lists below: 1. Would our situation still be considered fraudulent even I was not try to attempt to stay in the US after we get married ? 2. So in order to fulfill the 30/60 days rules , should we filled the I-130 after 60 days from the date of the marriage? can it be filled sooner? As I will be waiting in my home country while the I-130 on progress and wait until the interview's date from the US Embassy is produced Anyone here had the same experience? Thank you all in advance .. Regards, Mel
