  1. Hey all,

I am still waiting for my interview date, but I want to make sure my medical goes smoothly when I finally get my date without any more delays.

I know that there are certain vaccines required, I am vaccinated as far as I know, but my parents didn't keep my vaccine records, so I do not have any proof.

Should I get tested for immunity before my medical and bring that as proof? Or should I just let it be and let the doctor at the medical do what is needed?

I don't want to do anything before the medical and then it's void for some reason, anyone with similar experience?

  2. @Filiawatie I messaged the embassy again asking for a general time frame and this was their reply:

    Ms. King,

We still have limited services until October due to staff shortage.

Hopefully we can schedule more appointments in November.

    Regards,

    Consular Section

I guess at least it explains the reason for the delay. A bit of a bummer though, I was hoping to get scheduled sooner than that 😞

China isn't currently letting their citizens travel abroad for trips/vacations. And I'm not allowed to enter China because they do not allow tourism.

Oh wow, I didn't know, I am so sorry about your situation, this is really horrible and I feel for you 😞

You can contact the senator of your state and reach out for help. This doesn't always work, but just maybe he/she can help speed the process along. Phone their office and ask if it's possible and what the process is. They don't help if your case is within normal processing times, so just make sure of your processing times.

Good luck to you and your fiancé.

Well, hello there, looks like we are in the same boat!

I got DQ on June 14th. 2022 for my CR-1 Visa & still waiting for my P4 letter as well.

I also contacted US Embassy in Jakarta and they replied my email with the same answer as yours: they have no record of my case (and they mentioned also that my petition is still with NVC).

It's been over two months after DQ and still no email or appointment letter yet. Everyday I login into CEAC and checking for new message(s)...and get no new message(s).

I was thinking to call NVC to ask, but last time calling them, they put me on hold almost 2 hours before talking to a live person. Have you tried to call NVC (may be)?

I am so happy there is someone else in my situation (sorry that you are also waiting). I saw all these timelines on this site for the same visa in early 2022 getting interview dates really fast, and got really paranoid that something went wrong with my case.

I might wait a week or two longer before calling the NVC. Good luck, and keep me updated if you hear anything, I hope it's really soon!

    Here is how it works:

    1. Case is DQ'd by NVC.

    2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC.

    3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month.

    4. NVC schedules interview when case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

    5. NVC notifies person of interview date via email.

    6. NVC then sends case to consulate.

After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.  Sounds like there are cases in front of you in the queue.

This is really helpful to get a grasp of what is happening. Even my lawyer didn't explain it this well. Thanks a lot!

  6. Who is waiting for an interview at Jakarta? I am losing hope, because I got DQ'ed on Jun 28th but my case is still at the NVC. I have contacted the embassy and they said they did not receive my file yet.

I've seen lots of timelines of Jakarta embassy people in 2022 that got their interview letter really fast after being DQ'ed. Anyone else waiting as long as I do?

    Let's wait together!

    Police Records

Unavailable for applicants inside and outside Indonesia. Indonesian police certificates require initial processing at a local or village level, which is nonstandard in nature, can be subject to capricious decisions by officials and may require nonofficial payments to proceed further."

    Yes, this!

You don't need a police clearance from Indonesia since there are corruption involved in getting it.

You two can also meet in a third country and spend some time together. It would be good to meet before she has her interview as you have not seen one another in a very long time. Save boarding passes, etc from the trip

I second this! Not only does it helps having the evidence that you met up during the wait, but it is great for your emotional and mental wellbeing.

My husband is already in the US with our 2 children, and we have been apart 9 months now but met up during the Summer break in a third country. It was refreshing and wonderful to see them again, and gave us all strenght to continue the wait!

Good luck with the wait....the waiting and unknown is for sure the worste part of the process.

    *** Moved from IR1/CR1 Process & Procedures to IR1/CR1 Progress Reports ***

This report is from last year --

What?! They got the interview letter in 2 days, and this was in the middle of the pandemic....Lucky ducks!  I don't get it! It's already been 7 weeks for me.... and now I can't even phone the NVC to ask what is going on. Is there anything I can do? Does emailing the NVC help? We emailed them once during this process before and it took them a month to reply, and their answer wasn't very helpful either...😕

  10. I became documentarily qualified on June 28, and I am still waiting for an interview date from the NVC for Jakarta, Indonesia. I know the Jakarta embassy is not very busy, they do between 9-14 family immigrant visas per month and prioritize those.

Does anyone have any experience with how long it takes to schedule the interview? The timeframe from the NVC is between 30-60 days... is it still within that time line or does it take longer due to backlogs?

My husband and 2 kids are already in the US, and we have been separated since January 2022, I really want this process to end soon!

    Thanks in advance.
