yes, it does NOT come in a sealed envelope
-
the visabkk2 will get it back faster.
try what you want too though, or as my thaiglish goes, "up to you"....
Excuse me. I'm going to go throw up now...I'm feeling a little sick myself...
We are still getting the packet 3 together and its depressing to see what lies ahead, but what can you do...
I have a question on packet 3 submission, can you deliver to the embassy in person or will they only accept through mail or DHL?
Thanks!
I didn't have a packet 3, but I think most people use EMS in Thailand to send the packet 3.
I sent our packet 3 ffom the USA using USPS

this appears they are screwing with everyone and their documents. As they did us. Something must have happened a few months ago to make them be so hard core in getting original and more docs. hell, we had to get a name change document for my wifes deceased mother. Now ####### does that have to do with anything? They're making people jump through hoops.
Glad to see you made it meow

OK, well I guess the fat lady is finished singing.
My wife picked up her and the kids passports, with visa, in BKK and now on her way home.
tentative arrival USA- June 5
-
So, has anyone had their interview lately? I'm getting nervous because ours is on Jun 3rd. Just trying to find out some experiances people have had lately.
Frank and Meow had theirs within the last few weeks. Frank had the usual 221g nightmare, Meow skated through. It seems to be hit and miss at this point.
Yes, just as a follow up from an emil I sent to the Embassy on Thursday May 14th.
I got this email from them this morning.
-------------------
Dear Mr. Frank xxx:
The K-3 and K-4 visas have been issued for the applicants on May 15,
2009.
Regards,
Correspondence Unit

shes getting on the bus tonight to arrive in BKK Embassy in the morning to pick them up.
I wont be happy till she has them in hand and out of the Embassy.
Its not over till the fat lady sings.
(Disclaimer: sorry to any of you who might be physically space challenged, like you Daboyz)

i'll take that as a positive move.
My wife just arrived in BKK for the 3rd time going back today,
2nd time returning on the 221g.
Thanks for the positive note.

yea, we've given these documents to them twice now. Apparently they want it one specific way.
They gave her an example paper to have it done in the same manner. WHAT FUGGING BS!!!!
found out just now, after speaking with my wifes sister, that there are 5 workds that are
different on the sample form.
well, at least they gave a sample to take to the Amphur......JFFC!!
Is the sample they provided in English or Thai? Guessing the Amphur provides the document in Thai. Maybe the difference was in translation?
yea, there may be something to what you say.....
I'll have to check into that idea more.
The receiving officer, who took the papers, did tell my wife that if she returns with the
document, she'll get the visas.

well, the wife went to the Embassy today at 12:40pm. came out at 2pm. They took all 6 documents and said #6 was not correct. This is the form to prove she has sole custody of the kid. So, they gave her an example of what they want from her.
The sister says its no problem to do. They will do it tomorrow. Apparently the Embassy is closed Wed., so she needs to wait to go back to BKK next Monday. Niiiiice.
Rin had to have a similar document (didn't need the document at the embassy; needed it to get the children's passports). She had to go to the local amphur along with two witnesses (her sister and cousin, in her case) and sign an affidavit stating that she was solely responsible for taking care of the children. The only other alternative was a similar document from the local amphur signed by her ex-husband. I believe the document was like 20 baht, but it was about 3:15 when she went, office closes at 4:00 pm, so the guy was going to miss his bus home if he did it, have to take a taxi, she'd have to come back in morning, long lines in morning, blah, blah, blah. But for an "extra" 400 baht he could stay and do it and take a taxi home.
OK, you can cross Bangkok twice for 400 baht, but whatever. Took him 15 minutes; she was out of there by 3:30.

Sounds like you are really close if you only have 1 more document to get done so very soon you will be done with all of this.
yea, and heres another week and another trip to BKK and more headaches and more stress and.............
its taking its toll.....to say the least

well, its 2am in thailand and they just got on the bus to
BKK to go to the Embassy, 1pm thai time.
Here we go again, another sleepless night.
This time she left early enough in advance to get there with time to spare
and her sister going along to make sure she doesnt........uh.....make a mistake.
I think she'll get the visa OK, returning with the 221g from April 9th with all 6 documents,
translations and passports........
as the great philosopher
Daboyz once said.......Yeeeeee hawwwwwwwww

i used the bank statements from a specific account I use for my wife. she gets the atm card, (thats my name by the way, atm. Ever feel that way?) for that account. It then shows my deposits and her withdraws in thailand

Birchbeer: Sorry to hear about what happened. She's a real trooper, heart of gold! It'll be ok, just a few more days and you'll get your answer Monday.
grrr, mmm. grumble grumble grumble.ahh, aye...#$@^#&$%, grumble grawf grumble.............
Jai Yen Yen!!!
What's "Jai Yen Yen" ?
My Thai really sucks... beyond basic sawasdee khrap and khop khun khrap...
I mumbled everywhere I went in Thailand "phom cowjai passa thai nitnoy khrap" (excuse the transliteration.. I just remember it as "cowjai" for 'understand') and that's about it.
You guys who actually speak the language, you know what could be really valuable? A primer on the really good bits of the Thai language which farangs like us getting hitched to Thai girls really ought to know. Esp. the naughty bits. Actually, ONLY the naughty bits.
I've asked Thanti but so far she's refused to tell me how to say ""Let a hungry Ratchaburi long-haired she-wolf blow your #######, tw@t-nose" . After all, these are the really important things a man about BKK truly needs to know....
tell her, "next time I want to " kang lung""

well, just an update regarding my wifes excursion to BKK to get the police report and
turn in the 6 221g docs on wednesday.
Although she had to just go in and pick up the completed police report, she got hung up there,
for whatever reason I'm still trying to determine, and wouldnt have made it to the Embassy before the 3pm deadline.
So, she returned to her hometown with her tail between her legs cause her husband wanst quite too pleasant to talk to 4 am with such news. A day trip and $100 bucks later to just go to BKK and get the friggin police report.
So, on that note, she is returning to BKK and going to the embassy at 1pm sharp as to keep her husband happy and in a calm state of mind. Her sister is also going with her, who is a godsend, to ensure that no BS errupts and Mr. Murphy doesnt throw any curve balls into the mix.
soooo, I'll let ya know monday.
(if youre good at reading between the lines, its been a fun 2 days)

All I want is to see you guys love one another.
if we wanted katoey, we would have expressed that side of ourselves by now....
I don't have any problems with anyone. Everyone has their own opinions and if someone reacts that's their choice. People react and act for themselves for unknown reasons (in a forum like this, there is no "everyone" "we" "they" when one alone speaks). Typically one who lashes out is the one with issue and they'll have to solve their issues.
...take what ya want, leave the rest (I'm leaving that video) UGH! LOL
I cant believe they put that on TV (or is that net only)?
I was actually a little shocked by that video as well. I'm sure they put it on TV. Top Charoen Optical is everywhere in Bangkok.
Get the "F" outta here....you were a little shocked by that....
hmmmpf.
you gargle like that every mornin'

well. my wife is on the bus now. On her way back to BKK to pick up the 2nd police report and get her butt over to the embassy between 1-3pm today. With the police report, she'll have the 6 documents asked for, with the english translations, her 221g form and both passports for her and the daughter.
Here comes another sleepless night.....Keep us in your thoughts folks........
oh, and on all the talk about these extra threads, Why fix something that isn't broke?
-
you can always fly to mexico city and walk across the border for free.
#######, I hear its all the rage now..........
-
yea, that what i got and was 3.5 weeks later
-
yes, congrats Ike....
thanks for answering the questions. We had tons of evidence of relationship. That part was fine.
Its just the 6 documents which my wife now has after incredible amounts of difficulty and cost.
They are being translated now and finished tomorrow.....
They are all regarding the recipient also.
We'll see next week.
After the thai lady took the papers at window 5, she obviously then cam back and told you that you had satisfied their request for more documentation.
I too an an IT engineer
-
So Ike, I would like to know if you had to see the interviewer (CO) again, or did the thai lady just take them then came back with a decision?
I'm curious to know,
1- does my wife have to see this moron CO again?
2- will they tell her then and there if the documents were enough?
3- will they take the passports at that time and hve her come back in a few days to get thier vise?
thanks
