  2. I got questions guys!

One of my friend has just gotten his Immigrant (IR1) visa with the expiry of january 2010.He is going to USA for only 7 days.

He can't stay longer coz of seroius probs.

    My question is that,

Does he use that visa for multiple entry?Like he wanna stay for 7 days and wanna go back to pak and then again later will come to USA.

    Is that possible?

In how many days he can get his green card over there?

Can any one from his relative in USA get his green card?(After his departure from USA)

  6. I have a question.... alhamdulilah the interview date has been set.. so now we are working on the medical process. When my fiance received the 3.5 packet, the medical form was not included, where can he get the medical form?

First of all dear for getting medical report there is no any kind of form.Your fiancee will have to send the packet 3.5 form filled to USEM islamabad. Then they will let u know when to get medical from their specific physcian.

    Good luck

  7. Sibtain, did they keep your passport? Or give it back to you at the interview???

    Thanx Guys!

I do pary always for those who are in AP speacially.

At my interview time they did not take my passport and becoz i aslo got missing document blue sheet so CO told me that i can send them my passport with missing document.

So i have sent them my passport with missing document that time.

What would be the procedure now according to my circumstances?

Thanx guys for ur support i will update if i will get any further info.

  13. hello every buddy there,

after 7 months waiting through AP, i got new mail from the consulate that asking me to send them a new Palestinian police certificate.

i have expected that because my police certificate expired there from 6 months, and i have already made new one that i got from our interior from only 2 months ( its only 2 months old ).

    i have several questions:

    * is that good news about our case?

    * do i send them the new police certificate, or just i have to make new one?

    * do i need to get stamps for it from the exterior?

    thanks a lot

    Yes it is good news.

Now they are ready to issue the visa and they need ur new Police certificate. As soon as you will send ur new PCC they will issue the visa.

Just get new one from issuing authorities.

I dont know what are the rules in ur country but according to pakistan no need to get stamps from other agencies except police station stamp and signature.

    Congrats!

I m hopefull that i will get my visa soon as well.

  16. I am the USC. My fiance interviewed on May 12, 09, he was approved pending his passport. He sent in his passport on June 12, 09. We heard nothing about his visa after that until today. DOS kept telling us his visa is pending. Today, I got a call from the US Embassy in London. It was a CO and she basically asked me all the questions my fiance was asked at the time of his interview. It was a 30 min long phone conversation. She did not ask me anything about my fiance's family or particularly anything about my fiance specifically. She asked details about me, my immediate family, and information about our relationship and about my education, etc. She even asked me the names and ages of my siblings. I am the USC (petitioner). I am guessing that she was verifying whether whatever my fiance said at the time of the interview was correct or not.

I am interested in anyone else's experiences with phone investigations such as the one I have experienced. How long after a phone interview is a decision made on the visa?

Is a phone interview a good sign or a bad sign?

Are all the security checks done prior to a phone interview?

    Hello MARM!

The telephone investigation at this stage is normal & usual. They do it to verify your and your fiancée statement at interview and as well as at forms which u have submitted when you filed your petition.

    You can read my experience,

    Interview date: 10 Nov, 08

Got phone investigation: 15 Dec, 08

Got Field Investigation: 22 April, 09

In addition, I m still waiting for my visa.

My wife is USC and in this case, when u married to non-desi then they do field investigation to find out an element of fraud of misstatement. Phone investigation is good sign it indicates that they are working on your case.

After field investigation, i have found average visa time approx. 4 months.

In Islamabad USEM, average visa time is 6 to 8 months. Moreover, normally its unpredictable no one can tell u the exact time.

So be patient and let them complete all the security checks. Some times, it could be completed before your expectation and some times, it could be longer.

Wish u very best of luck

  17. He was given a 221(G)

    Hello MARM!

    What is 221(g)?

The 221(g) is a section of the US Immigration and Nationality Act, which is used when the embassy or consulate are unable to take immediate action on a visa case. In rare cases, when additional processing is required, the suspense category used in that case is 221(g) while the additional processing takes place. For example, sometimes the applicant has failed to bring in the correct documentation, has incomplete information or in some cases the embassy wants a co sponsor before they will issue the visa or health reasons are all reasons a 221(g) is issued. In the Middle East/African/ Asian countries these applicants are scrutinized and screened more intensely and thus they have to wait out longer security or fraud investigations until all verifications for security or suspected fraud come back cleared.

It simply means that they are doing some checks and case pending mean that its in AP.

So let them do their checks and be paptient.

Here the ppl are waiting since years, months.I was interviewed on Nov 10 2008, still in AP.

Lets pray for anyone who are in this dark whole.

InshaAllah he will get his visa soon.

    Dear Sibtain,

I am here daily on here and on FBI as well. I see that you are copy and pasting my information all over the forums. I do not mind you using it but at least tell where you are getting it. Insert a link/hyper-link or say that this information comes from MaryandMian or Mary_mj4mj. I am reading my own posts and saying what? At least give the author their due!

    Dear Marry!

I m really sorry for that next time i won't do it and will use my own source of info.

    Sorry again.

  19. What does a pink slip mean? no AP, right?

They kept our passport and told us that we will be able to pick up the stamped passport from the amex office in two weeks? can it takemore than two weeks?

    thank you

No.You guys are not in AP.

As far as stamped passport from Amex is concerned then it can take 2 to 4 weeks.

But no prob. and dont need to be worry abt it, you are done.

Best of luck for ur upcoming visa.

  20. Hi All,

I have my IR1 interview on 23rd July at Islamabad embassy. After reading all your posts, I am mentally prepared for a long AP.

    A) Because Islamabad embassy is putting all males on AP.

    B) Because of my frequent travel to Europe, Middle East and Africa (4 trips to Middle East in last 4 months!).

One thing I am worried about is that trips to Middle East and Africa will have to continue while I am on AP due to the nature of my job. What are the chances of AP starting all over again due to additional foriegn trips? With my current job, this can go on forever!!

Has anyone had a similar experience??

Dear if u will go abroad during ur AP, then definately ur AP would be longer. However it would be best in ur interest if u will abstain to travel during AP.

Note!Whenever u will give ur interview mention this to CO.

    Best of luck!

  21. is there a differance between AP and AR?

    Plz read it carefully!

    Administrative Review and/or Administrative Processing

    After Your Visa Interview

Administrative Review: Is when your case is being looked at more closely for accuracy and to make sure all security name and fingerprint checks have cleared and your visa can be adjudicated.

Administrative Processing: Means once you have interviewed it is in security checks for any of these situations: you have had a name hit in one of the many data bases, background checks for fraud, or has missing and incomplete information that must be submitted and the rechecked. Processing is more in depth and than the review process and there is no time limit for this processing to complete. Administrative processing can last a few days or months and in some cases it has endured for years.

The 221(g) forms vary from consulate/embassy and you can get one or more forms after your interview. They vary in color as well as the way they are written whereas some are brief and some are detailed. In most cases they say to contact the consulate/embassy after 45 days. Be aware that the 45 days means business days (no weekends or holidays) and in some parts of the world the processing times are longer than 45 days. Always, try and check for others that are going through the same consulate and see what the average processing time is for the majority of the applicants.
