NVC will send you an email when they send your case to the embassy. They don't send out any physical letter. All you can do now is wait.

email Yes, we had exactly the same. At first, the status changed to "ready" while the documents were still on the way. After 1.5-2 weeks, the status update happened again, but only the date changed... Then, a few days later, the same thing happened again - only the date was updated again. And a few days later they sent me an email with instructions.

We have been waiting for almost a month. At this time, several times there was a status update on the ceac website, which consisted only of changing the “last update” date and nothing else. In short, on March 17 the status was ready, on April 12 a letter came from them.

Today I finally received a letter from the embassy, which included recommendations for making an appointment for an interview, addresses of medical centers where you can get a medical examination, and there was also an information brochure about domestic violence. Now can fill out the DS-160, pay the fees, and schedule the interview. One plus step closer to the goal! 💪🥳🍾

Yes, they don't send any welcome email. They send a notification to the petitioner that they sent the case to the embassy, the same notification contains the nvc case number and the beneficiary's Id.

Wait! Do not take any steps without the command of the embassy. Await further instructions from the embassy.

The deadline for an approved petition is 4 months from the date of its approval by USCIS. In theory, you should complete the interview before the expiration of this period. But if for some reason you cannot do this, for personal reasons or delays at the embassy, etc., then the petition can be extended by the consulate for another 4 months. It can be extended up to one year at most. Knowledgeable people let me correct if I'm wrong somewhere.

You received a notification from the NVC, there is practically nothing there except for the address of the embassy, the case number. We must wait for the next notification from the Embassy with further instructions. I wish us good luck in this difficult task 👍💪

If she does not have a Schengen visa, if I were you, I would consider the option of temporarily moving to Serbia, and not violating the visa regime of Mexico. Serbia is a visa-free country for your fiancé.

I would send a request. I sent the first request 3 weeks after NOA 2 and they told me that they had recently received our case and it was waiting to be entered into the system. A week later, we sent them another request and they sent a case number and ID. Ps: As a last resort, I would wait a couple of days and write.

Our case left NVC today! Status changed to "in transit" 😀
