  1. well, some numbers are approved, others still not. all the numbers below are approved, does that mean they forgot me?

They haven’t forgotten you/us, I think it based on that there are more than one adjustor in action and some I 751 takes more time than other. That’s way we have this random selection perception. Our approvals will come very soon,, we talks about days,,

I hope you are correct... but I still have to go tomorrow for my infopass.... suck! I was hoping for an aproval today!

    Congrats Kmineo!

  2. Just checked and the card is now ordered, Yeah

    "

Included the Src number because we are not sure when our biometrics were or the NOA. But we were transferred April 2. I am sure the rest of us will get approved quickly

so you are approved??? when you received the email??? and what is your NOA date?

  3. BBAN:

well, since you show me how I can look at same other cases I have been....

my NOA ends with number 16... about a week or so I checked and I told you that the only number before or after me approved was 15 on June 14. well I checked same of the numbers today and I discovered that, number 14 was approved today July 1. Number 09, was approved yesterday June 30. Number 19 was approved June 24. Number 23 was approved yesterday June 30. Number 25 was approved today July 1.

At least some kind of movement... Lucky this people....

  4. During June we had 7 approvals. During the first week of June we had 1. During the second week we had 2

During the third week we had none

During the fourth week we had 4 approvals.

So, If they keep going at this rate, we should all get approved by the end of July, there are only 7 people left on the list, 2 from May and the rest from June.

But for what I see this week will get lost just like the third week of June (did we had any holidays during that week?) Hopefully they come back from the long weekend wanting to work a little bit .

  5. At least VSc is working. Of course without order or predictable approval time frames. I wonder why I was skipped and if this means I will have to wait even longer or if they just go around randomly (within the 2-26 bunch).

well today is Tuesday and it look like I would have to go tomorrow to the end of the world, miss work for the entire morning and wait to see what this stupid people from immigration will tell me. I don’t expect anything like I say for the entire week..... I should not even look at my email.... but is stronger than me.... I hate this felling!

  6. update....

    Received card in mail!

Hang in there guys, I am sure there will be fireworks this week!!!!

Yes that's the only action/happening we can be sure about this week

Sometimes (mostly all the times) I feel that my day will never come... that I am the most unlucky person in this world! or maybe someone is playing a joke with me!!! I open my email everyday hoping and at the same time before opening it I already know I have nothing but junk mail or credit cards statements....

I am getting sick and frustrated,,,, on Wednesday I have my infopass appointment and I am even afraid of asking the people over there… last time when I went back on September (just to try for an stamp which they refuse to give me) the lady was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO rude, that scared the hell out of me… I remember asking her when more or less I could expect my approval and I clearly remember her saying in a very rude manner (diminishing me and treating me like garbage) that I751 takes always longer than one or two years… and then she just turn away and did not want to talk with me anymore…

I dont really expect anything tomorrow less on the weekend... sorry but today I am pessimist

  7. in the letter does it ask for specific evidence that they want you to send in??

No specific evidence. just a long list that they have on the instructions for the I-751, such as birth certificates of any childeren, in which we do not have any children, joint ownership of any property or leases, joint financial statements, insurance policies and proof that they are still in force, any affidavits from 3rd parties.

We're prepared to respond to any RFE, but our concerns are that her A# is wrong on the letter and we can't access the case number on the RFE online.

there seem to be different case numbers on everything so I wouldn't worry about that.. and if you are concerned I would schedule a infopass appointment and ask about the incorrect A#

We just went over all the evidence we submitted. Our tax returns were copies of the ones we did on turboTax, but in the RFE notice, it says they should be official transcripts or be stamped by the issuing authority. I called the IRS and ordered transcripts for our joint returns from '07, '06, and '05. I'm even sending the letter about the stimulus package, which is addressed to both of us. Once I receive the transcripts, we'll mail the RFE back to VSC.

We'll also send updated statements from our joint bank accounts and get a letter from our landlord stating that our lease has expired and we're on a month to month basis.

By the way, the receipt number on the RFE was the one we got on the NOA1 and not the number on the biometrics letter

Hoping this satisfies VSC, as they don't want anything we already submitted.

did you send affidavitis letters? from friends or family???

  8. This guy trylly believes that we are all stupid here!!! read what the director of USCIS put on the website and what I answer

    Processing Questions

I’ve been reading—absorbing the more than 400 comments you left from my last Journal entry. You’ve asked many questions—mostly about our processing times, wait times for visa approvals, and how we’re responding to the record number of applications we received last year.

But most of all, you want to know when USCIS will complete your case. Let me try to address some of your concerns.

After visiting local USCIS offices around the country and reviewing our current production statistics, I am confident USCIS will beat our projected 13- to 15-month processing estimate for completing naturalization applications filed after June 1, 2007—while we continue to improve processing times for other applications and petitions. Next month, we will provide you with a detailed report with updated processing times for all USCIS offices.

Our employees are hard at work every day, including evenings and weekends, processing files and interviewing applicants. The results of their efforts show tremendous productivity. I am optimistic that USCIS will exceed our goal of completing more than 1 million naturalization applications this fiscal year, which ends September 30, compared to last year’s 748,000 naturalization cases. And so far, applications received have been lower than normal this year. If that continues, we’ll bring processing times down further than we projected.

Many of you also asked about the processing times displayed at www.uscis.gov, and why the dates sometimes go backward rather than forward. We estimate those dates based on a formula that calculates, among other things, the number of cases received within a defined period, how many cases we’ve completed during that time period, and how many cases remain in process that our beyond our established processing time goals. Sometimes the flow of cases received and completed changes during a specific period in a way that shifts the date backwards. The processing timeframes shown on our webpage reflect applications just completed. So the page is only a tool for customers to estimate our current processing times.

In addition, the average processing times posted on our website do not take into account the many issues that may arise when a particular case is under review. For example, sometimes a USCIS officer may need to ask for additional information before a final decision can be made. If your case has been delayed beyond our posted processing times and you have not been asked for additional information, we encourage you to call our customer service line at 1-800-375-5283 to inquire about the status of your case.

Some of you also asked about the long wait for employment-based visas. The law limits how many people can immigrate in these employment based preference categories each year. That determines how many cases we can complete and often establishes how many new cases we can accept. To complicate matters, demand often far exceeds that supply. To assist applicants who are awaiting those visas, we will soon begin to issue Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) that are valid for 2 years for certain applicants who filed an application to adjust their status to permanent resident but are still awaiting an immigrant visa number.

Others have asked why petitions for their relatives take so long to process. Usually, it’s because an immigrant visa simply isn’t available. More than 1 million petitions to sponsor a relative are still awaiting visas. USCIS must manage our work based on the number of visas allowed by law. To change that, Congress would have to amend the law. No USCIS employee wants to keep a family apart or withhold proof of eligibility to work, but we must work within the requirements set by law.

Our current immigration system challenges us with backlogs on a regular basis. During the past fiscal year, we’ve begun to make improvements that will permanently eliminate future backlogs, including hiring additional employees, instituting new business processes and technology, and creating a new employee culture focused on professional training and development.

Will we succeed overnight? No. Making these changes—the right way—will take longer than my tenure as Acting Director. Nonetheless, we’re committed to making them sooner rather than later.

Thanks for taking time to read this entry.

    Jonathan “Jock” Scharfen

Acting Director, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

    Labels: immigration, USCIS

    Answer:

HI, I have been waiting for my I751 for over a year already. A process that should take a few months (and actually does in California Service Center) took for me in Texas Service Center 7 months and then my case was transfer to "accelerate things" to Vermont Service Center where is been there for the last 6 months or so.... We are still waiting. The social Security department wont replace my Social Security card because my green card is expired and for them the Notice Extension of 1 year that USCIS send me back on July 2007 is not VALID! Well... there is lack of communication between government agencies... we are disappointed with the treat that USCIS has given us by phone and by person. When call to see what is going on officers on the hotline don’t do more than treat people disrespectfully... I would like same resolutions.

  9. after my approval I am going to need same profesional help, this is damaging" LOL!

Ailin, I keep thinking that as soon as you get your approval, the shock of it all will send you into labor. How much longer until you have your baby?

I am 29 weeks today exactly.... too many emotions for my pregnancy.... where is my approval??? I am making an infopass today... hopefully I will received something before it so I don’t have to go. Something is for sure as soon as I get the stamp I will go to the Social Security dep to get my new Social.... (something good out of all this inconvenience)

By the way Staashi I love the Mafalda little cartoon.... she is funny! :) and realistic...

Well, hopefully it will all happen sooner rather than later. And yes, I love Mafalda...when I saw that cartoon I thought it was perfect for immigration. :D

Once more Friday has come... and not signs on my email.... Sigh!

  10. OMG!!!! I am glad at least you have same kind of answer.. but yes, make an infopass app. and explain your problem, you want to make sure about everything since first of all they told you that your case was lost and then miraculously you are approve!!!! which I believe but go ahead and talk to them in person... You have lots of patience.... I am impressed and I respect you.

  11. I filled I-751 at VSC on Nov 15th 2006. Got NOA Dec 1st 2006 and fingerprinted Jan 2nd 2007. Waiting....waiting....waiting... Starting from June 2007 I repeatedly and until Nov 5th 2007 checked the website and called 800 number to find out that nothing new had come and the case was pending normally.

Guess what; on Nov 5th 2007 I got a DENIAL letter stating I didn't reply to RFE they had sent me in June 2007.

Guess what more; the receipt number on the denial did not match the receipt number on my first NOA, the number I checked online all the Time. And guess a little bit more. The state abbreviation in my address for Delaware was printed NJ .

I went to INS office and a very nice lady told me that all those “small” mistakes happen. The letter is received by zip code. The receipt number doesn’t have to be the same.

    I should file a new I-751.

After filling a New I-751 on Nov 13th 2007 I got a new NOA Nov 20th 2007. As me and my wife have purchased tickets for the Christmas holidays to Europe our dreams for traveling were shattered. I went to INS office again with the new NOA and the same very nice lady stamped my passport, extending I-551 for additional 1 year and stated that I can work.

But she did point to me: NO TRAVELLING!!!

Now I am waiting for FP notice.

On Nov 29th 2007 I also filled I-290B...Motion to reopen. Because I never received any RFE. I'm now waiting.....waiting....

    Regards,

    KAKA

I am telling you these people over USCIS are stupid!!!!!!!!! but why is the reason she told you NOT TRAVELING????? if you already have an extension and a stamp why you can not travel??????????

  12. tell me about it. I just realized my Noa is not 5-19 but 5-16 2007. So they even had an extra 3 days. Why are they skipping May filers and why on earth has it been 1 year, 1 month, 1 week and a few days?

like I said before... we are dealing with the most incompetent agent of the entire United States.... yes!! That is right!!!! any improvement of organization will shocked me to death!!!!!

I keep thinking when but WHEN WHEN is going to be the day I open an email with an aproval and I can post it in here like everyone else??? WHEN?????????????????

  15. I just chekd status online at 7:44 AM CST and it says.... Card Production Ordered...............:dance::dance::dance:

:wow: WOW... THIS IS AN AMAZING FEELING.......... I'VE GOT BUTTERFLIES GOING THROUGH MY STOMACHE.....

Thank you all for your support, Hopefully will get the card in mail soon!!!!!!

awesome!! congrats!!! but did you received the email yet??? or the website from USCIS says that????

Thanks imailin. I got an email as well as the status is updated on the USCIS website.

thanks for the info... at what time you got it?????? I like to know this so I keep my hopes up 24 hours at day on fridays, mondays and tuesday... like someone before said :after my approval I am going to need same profesional help, this is damaging" LOL!

  16. congrats! hopefully they will clean it all up now. How come the early 2-26 are screwed yet again????

    baunzerbrudi:

I am sorry but I have to inform you that WE ARE DEALING WITH IMMIGRATION NOT WITH A COMPETENT OFFICE. I am afraid I had to let you know the truth…. The system sucks and anything in order will surprise me. I would think there is anthrax outbreak or same weird stuff like that if they would finally work in an organized order…

lets just hope for approvals by July 4th... and lets just hope that they at least keep 1 approval per open working day (which for us is only fridays, mondays and tuesdays)

  17. OK, so for those of you who have been approved and have received your cards, did anyone of you notice multiple 'touches' on your account after the email approval?

I was approved last Friday and since then I was 'touched' again on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. I expect another touch again today and it's beginning to feel like some unscrupulous VSC employee is undoing or messing up something.

and one more thing to all of you guys recently approved: at what time you received your emails?????? Thanks!!!!

    Around 4:40p EST on Friday.

thanks but what is your timeline?

yes, everyone here had report multiples touches after the approval email... don’t worry you may even get duplicates approval notices by email.... and even one with card send by mail....

  18. I guess I am stuck with him, too.... come on VSC, less than 10 to go!

I can’t get used to the fact that everywhere I go I became a Loser..... First Texas now Vermont.... who knows where else my case will end it up... :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

    James or Cassie or whoever!!!!!

when you guys did the info pass appointment what was the reason you guys put????

    There are several choices:

Please select Kind of Service you need

You need Service on a case that has already been filed

You are a new Permanent Resident and have not yet received your Permanent Resident Card

You want to file an application in person

You need information or other services

    You need a form.

I do not remember what I put the last time, I believe I put "need information or other services"

  19. I'm seen approvals processed last week and today with application number only a few number away from my application number,, I guess that's good news.

BBAN.... why? what are these NOA numbers???? tell me I need same relief even If it is not true?!

    Hi Imalin,

My application receipt number (SRC07 etc.) and end’s on xx (two last digits), so I just look up number close to my number’s. For example if your number end on 40 look up all number from with last digits from 01 to 50 (and look for application type CRI89).

Thanks BBAN!!! I did and this is what I found out :

my case ends with 16.... so, number 15 was approved on June 17, and number 12 was approved on June 19... but everything in between and after (up to #18) still waiting!!!!!.... so I don’t think it has something to do... I truly believe that we are both on hands of a lazy LAZY LAZYYYYYYYYYYY officer who does not care or work.... for what??? He is getting paid anyhow and our approvals does not affect him on anything.... one or two less or more immigrant do not make a difference for him.... He is just lucky I don’t know him!!! Get to work you Lazy #######!!! I paid your salary 382 days ago!!!!!! I WANT MY APPROVAL BEFORE JULY 4…. BECAUSE THAT IS A LOST WEEKEND….. IN WHICH THEY DO NOT WORK.
