Some people never get it ... we never did ... but they confirmed it was sent by replying to an inquiry
We ended up receiving the email at the end of the working day fortunately!

Hopefully it’ll come soon for us too, I tend to worry 😅

NOA2 - June 14
First NVC Inquiry -July19th. NVC replied indicating they have received my case but not into the system yet.
Second NVC Inquiry-Aug 4th. Same reply as above.
Sigh. NVC Timeframes are lies too. "We are working on cases that were received from USCIS on 30-Jun-23". Then why haven't I received anything from my June 14th case?Keep in mind NVC timeframes refer to when NVC received the petition from USCIS and not when we got our NOA2.
Unfortunately USCIS doesn't ship them right away.

Hi everyone!
I have been looking for the "next step after NOA2 to NVC" and I am currently viewing the PDF (found it from this first post notes) which is created on 2020 Jun with 19 pages inside.
I am wondering the timeline and steps are still the same or any change ??
It seems like we have to just wait the case number or call NVC to ask for the NVC number "That is within 1-2 months"?
Thank you.The timeline isn't exactly the same. Although USCIS seems to be forwarding petitions to NVC faster than a couple of months ago, NVC is now taking its time to assign case numbers.
Now it takes around 3 months to get a case number, some people had to wait slightly less, but the mark seems to be 90 days.
Keep in mind, NVC phone lines have been taken down a few months ago so you can't call them, but you can send them an email. I'd suggest a first inquiry after 30 days and you can use either NVCResearch@state.gov or the public inquiry form here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html . Use NVC Research if you don't know if your petition has reached NVC yet, they're faster and generally more accurate!

What phone number do I call to make this inquiry?… still haven’t gotten a case number
thanks for the help
The phone lines ave been suspended months ago. You can contact them using through NVCResearch@state.gov if your case isn't at NVC yet, or through the public inquiry form here https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

My finance did the inquiry on 6th Aug , i hope they can send him an email tomorrow
you are so lucky
what did you usually say in the email ?
They should come back to you by the end of the week, hopefully!
This is what I said in the email:
"Hello, I am inquiring to know our correct case number for our approved I-129F petition. NVC confirmed our petition was received on 06/29/2023.
To assist you in locating my application, please find the following details: Petitioner's Full Name: ......... Petitioner's Date of Birth: ........... Beneficiary's Full Name: ............ Beneficiary's Date of Birth: ............ Receipt Number: WAC...... I kindly request the correct case number assigned by the National Visa Centre."
I also attached our NOA2 and the email received on 6/29

How often did you do the inquiry ?
I already did forth time but no number yet
when did you receive the NOA2 form ?thanks !!!
I received NOA2 on 5/17.
After that I inquired for the first time after 30 days. On June 29th we got the "received but not in our system" response.
This week was our fifth time inquiring about the case number, we sent one every week and this last time we also attached a screenshot of the email received on 6/29.
I know it's very frustrating, but keep sending inquiries every week!
When was your last inquiry?

After 83 days from our NOA2, today my fiancé received our case number through inquiry. I couldn't be happier, hopefully we will make it for the next shipment dates 🤞

We are at 92 days now waiting for our case number. My first inquiry came back June 29th saying it was waiting for data entry. I’ve sent many public inquiries since then. I just reached out to NVC research and they told me to make a public inquiry and didn’t help at all. 🤨 Surffice to say, I am pretty disappointed.
I'm pretty much in the same situation, it's absolutely exhausting having to deal with wait after wait!
I really hope you'll get your case number soon, I'm planning to let them know they've had our case for more than a month in my next inquiry, maybe that will help.
Keep us updated 🤞

How do I know if my case number is for the proper embassy?
Usually the first 3 letters of the case number are short for the embassy, MNL is Manila for example.
Here's a list of US embassies/consulates: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/list-of-posts.html

I sent the public inquiry on July 27th, early in the morning.
Thank you! We have inquired on the same day so I hope to hear good news either today or tomorrow.
Congrats on your case number and let's hope tomorrow is your day 🤞

The public inquiry responded with my case number, but it said I will be notified once the case is forwarded to the assigned US Embassy/Consulate General. I checked the status it says at NVC. What is the chance they will send my case tomorrow too?
May I ask when you inquired?
I'd check when the case number was actually created, I wouldn't exclude them sending it out already.

Does anyone who wait over 70 days to receive the TAI number after NOA2?
5/19 received the NOA2 Form , but still no number
I'm on day 76, received my NOA2 5/17.
I sent an inquiry Thursday evening, so hopefully will get the case number soon

5/19 received the NOA2
7/4 first time inquiry from and 7/9 they responded waiting for data entry into our system , since your case is not in our system yet , we can't make updates
7/26 second time inquiry , i hope they can respond and give me he number by Friday
Does anyone have the same problems like me ?
Pretty much the same for me.
NOA2 received on 5/17, got the "waiting for data entry" response on 6/29. After my inquiry on Monday, I got the same response yesterday.
I'm hoping that with the next batch of petitions going to embassies/consulates next week, we can get a case number🤞

i think i asked this question already but can't find it in the thread- can you reach out again after 45 days to nvcresearch or is it better to wait until 60?
I don't think there's an issue with reaching out before the 60 days mark, I reached out after 30 days and then again after 42 days

Amazing!! I sent a public form inquiry and an email on Monday. Email came back negative on Tuesday, but I’m still waiting on the public inquiry response! My 90 day prediction was probably way far off (true to March NOA2s though, unfortunately). This is great news for all of us here!
Probably not too far off if you include receiving a case number and CEAC status "In Transit" but it's great improvement, it's undoubtedly a much shorter wait!
Hopefully you'll get a positive update on your inquiry 🤞

Wow!!! May 17??? That makes me excited! ✨ Congratulations!!!
Yes, I was very surprised especially because both my fiancé and I sent an inquiry last week and I got a negative response on June 27th and he got this update just 2 days later!
I have also seen a few people on Facebook getting the same update, all NOA2s around mid-May so... anytime now!

My fiancé just got an email from NVC with the "The National Visa Center (NVC) recently received your immigrant visa petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Your petition is now waiting for data entry into our system" update.
NOA1: April 6th 2022
NOA2: May 17th 2022
Seems like they're speeding up!

I don't know about specific requirements in Armenia, but the only document you file and upload online is the DS-160. The rest of the documents are to be brought to the interview!
