  1. Thank you, Bh_Sarah! Congratulations to you too!!! What's next for you from here? My fiance already got their passport!!! My impatient self wishes my fiance was ready to come tomorrow hahaha But now it's just a matter of four weeks until my fiance gets here!! 😱😱 Wild to think that we are here already.
  2. Hey all! So after months of waiting and crying and anticipating and gray hairs.... my fiance did the interview yesterday and we got our approval!!!! My fiance will be coming in October and we'll do a small ceremony in November and can celebrate the holidays together as a married couple 😭😭😭😭
  3. Ugh! Annoying but I guess it's better than all the frustration I've been going through trying to fill it out... Yeah, I've been using a paid version of Adobe through work to full it out and it still gives me trouble when I try to enter the zipcode. It keeps saying to enter 5 numbers when I have already entered 5 numbers and then another section to enter employment isnt actually fillable 🙄.. Kind of hoping they release a new (and hopefully improved) version soon. I honestly love handwriting, but with these forms it makes me so anxious to make a mistake... I feel like on the computer there's less room for error...
  4. Is anyone else experiencing issues with the I-134 form when filling it out digitally? Sometimes the boxes aren't fillable or I'll get an error code when trying to save. Should I just dust off my ink and quill? 🥲
  5. I feel your pain! My fiance and I were so excited to finally see some movement.. we were hopeful for an October wedding, but the embassy in Kenya has such limited spots. We still can't schedule our interview and from what I hear they're already booking in December. So much for spending the holidays together and being married before 2024. They really don't make this process easy, huh? Wishing us all patience and fortitude to make it to the end!
  6. Hey all! Seeing as tomorrow and Wednesday are shipping days.. is there any rhyme or reason for how the shipping process is or do we just have to spend the next two days checking our emails/refreshing our case status? 🤔
  7. I really hope you can hear back soon! Today was a rough day for us. My eyes still burn from how much crying we both did. Does anyone else feel like the tension has increased 10-fold since getting to this stage? The finish line feels so close but yet still just out of reach. Wishing us all good luck and that we hear good news this week!!
  8. Thank you! I hope so too. I was so happy to log on and see you received your case as well. And also thank you for always providing such thorough information!
  9. Hey, all! Very sorry if this is a repeat question (I swear I tried scouring all 50 pages for the answer)... we received our case number via inquiry, not a welcome email directly from NVC (honestly not even sure if this is a thing...). Wondering if this email means anything or if now we just have to wait until "Case Ready" status to move forward with booking medicals, interviews and whatnot? If there is an email with additional instructions, about how soon after should I expect to receive it? Also, I don't want to derail this thread too much with questions if it's not relevant to this group any more. Is there another group we "should" move to on this next step like how we moved from our respective filers group to this May 2023 NO2 group? (Not that I want to leave you guys 😉) PS: Congratulations to everyone who received their case numbers recently. I'm not on here daily, but I see a lot of familiar names and I've been quietly creeping on your progress over the last few months. Makes me happy to see all of our journeys moving forward 🙂 Also, extending my sympathies to everyone still waiting... I know this process is so exhausting, but hang in there! It'll all be worth it in the end when you're finally together with your partner (this is what keeps me going).
  10. WE JUST GOT OUR CASE NUMBER!!! I sent an inquiry last week and yesterday received an email it's still waiting data entry. My partner emailed NVCAsk email separately and this morning we got our case number in the response. I know I've been waiting for this day but I still can't freaking belive it! 😭😭
  11. You're right! I've been hesitant to "bother" NVC for fear of "slowing things down", but I've been so many people receive case numbers through inquiry. I guess it couldn't hurt. We're coming up on the 70 day mark, and that seems to be around the sweet spot, so hopefully we get something soon. I'm so anxious to get this things rolling. Thank you!
  12. Congratulations to everyone who have gotten case numbers! We were told (via the NVCResearch email) on June 29th that NVC "recently received our case" yet here we are a month later.. 😁 Hopefully we hear something soon!
  13. I emailed NVCResearch on Sunday and was told today that I should use the public inquiry form 🥲. It's so inconsistent lol. Someone I know from late April just received their NVC case number, so hopefully we'll be seeing more May cases getting theirs too!
  14. @FilledesEtoiles Can I just say thank you again? You've already received your approval and have no obligation to do so, yet you've been updating the approvals almost every single day despite traveling and being in school... you're really such a kind person!
  15. This is just what I was thinking this morning when I was going through @FilledesEtoiles updates. Of course, I know I'm coming from a different place having been approved and I can only imagine the desperation that some people feel seeing others moving forward and seeing themselves being "left behind". But I was also wondering how many of these cases that are still being processed have more complicated situations that USCIS need to look more deeply into, or background checks that are taking longer depending on the beneficiaries country, as you said. I really wish I could be a fly on the wall in these offices and learn more about what's happening behind the scenes.
