  1. OK,first I would like to thank everyone for their advice. Second I want to apologize for my crazy behavior and bad attitude. I wanted to check in and let every one know that I did finally get my divorce, it was finalized Oct. 29th 2014. What I did was filled out the paperwork online and emallied him the copies along with the joinder. He printed them out and signed and then mailed them back to me. I went to the court and filed for a waiving of the fees and did not have to pay anything. I filed it and waited the 90 days since there were no kids together and he agreed to everything. I notified him the day it was finalized and he said good now you can enjoy your life and that I ruined everything as I would not confess to witch craft and we could fix our marriage. So I sent him a picture of my hottest male friend and told him this was going to be my new husband. Its not true but it gave me a reason to smile lol. Anyway thank you everyone for your advice even if i was not showing much gratitude at the time. It still hard to believe Im not longer married to him but Im slowly starting to feel normal again.

  2. I was married for 6 years and my husband went back to Morocco to help his brother. I sold a car to pay for the ticket. Once he got there he started saying I used witchcraft on him and sent a Jinn to his brother through a watch I never touched. Now this was right after he got his citizenship and he has been gone for 6 months. I have no way to contact him except facebook and he ignores my messages. I live in a no fault divorce state but I need to serve him some how. I'm totally stuck. I have sent via email the papers for him to print sign and send back but he has refused to do so. Do anyone have any advice? I cant find any addresses as he took all the papers from immigration with him. I need help badly before I go crazy.

  3. Silkafi88, first of all I dont have to do anything, he is still legally my husband. I did not ask for personal advise from you just what the laws are. So kindly keep your opinion to yourself. Immigration said he had to abide by us passport rules im just double checking on that. Anything beyond that scope dont care to hear.

  4. I have read the same things regarding the containers and it can become costly, I've seen quotes as low as $1000 and as high as $5500, with the size of the container ranging from 20 to 40 feet. Also, I've considered taking my car to Morocco but I've been told its cheaper to buy locally, as you pay an arm and a leg on taxes to get the car in the country. The downside of course is if you drive an automatic vs a manual car, it may be difficult to find a automatic car as most cars sold in Morocco are manual or stick shift. The easiest way to start banking is to open an account in Morocco when you reach and set up some type of transfer (seems to be the easiest way unfortunately). Citi has a presence in Morocco but not on the consumer banking side, they are the back office/operations side which doesn't directly involve itself with money...which is unfortunate. I forgot about this site and haven't been reading much but I'm glad I came back. :)

Ive been gone from this site for a while too, Im glad to back. I guess it might be more feasible to sell this car and buy one from there. I plan on having my husband do the driving as I am to scared to drive in that crazy traffic. I might have to look into buying new beds and stuff there as well. I will however want to take my computer as it has all my sims games on it lol.

  5. I would like to know some of the same information. I have read where people will use a moving container, like you see on a semi truck, and in most cases they will share it to save costs. Someone else told me that if you take your car, you have to pay heavy taxes on it when it arrives. Something to think about. I thought someone said you would be taxed on the original purchase price, but I am not sure that is correct. I would like to know if you were to open an account in the US with maybe Chase, would that help you get something going in Morocco since they are there too.

Best of luck in your future

I put in for a price quote with a company but haven't heard anything back yet. I hope its not to much on the car, its only valued at 5,900.( its a 2001 Hyundai tibiron) but i really love the car.I thought that Citi bank was in Morocco so when I called them they said they dont have a branch there. Im hoping when my husband goes for a visit in oct. he can open an account, then we can just transfer money online from here.We still have a while to go to move but I like to plan ahead and I can dream about it. I sure miss it over there.

  6. I too am seriously considering relocating to Morocco. I brought my husband here 2 years ago and we both agree we would rather live in Morocco. It will take me a couple years to save to move over and I am trying to find out how to get a savings account going over there from the US. We want to live in El Jadida. I also want to send over some of my things like one of our cars and some of our furniture. Has anyone done any of this? Also I want my kids to go to the public school instead of private does anyone know if this is possible, we are in the process of learning arabic so that they will be ready.

  7. hey! congrats! im from Seattle too! im waiting for my interview appointment now. why did it take you that long? you got married 2007 and you just got your green card now? why? and how long do you think it'll take for us to get interviewed? i've been waiting for the appointment letter for a while now. our biometrics appointment was last MAY 14, 2010. please help! thanks! and congrats again!

Well we didnt send the paper work in until the end of Feb. I think or Jan. We needed to make sure that we were making enough so that I could sponsor him on my own. Also because I live closer to Oregon, we went to the office in Portland. Im not sure about the Seattle office but I think that they are about the same time line as Portland. I also wanted to time it so that we were married more then two years so that he would get the 10 year instead of the 2 year with conditions. Good luck. I would call and ask if you dont get your appt. letter pretty soon.

  8. Said and I went to the AOS interview today and we got one of the nicest ladies. She asked only a few

questions, looked at a bunch of pictures and copies a few, looked at 4 papers showing assets and his

check stubs. Then she said I'am approving your application today. We were like that's it you dont need

anything else, she said nope thats it you'll have your 10year card in a couple of weeks, and that

in 3 yrs from today he will be able to apply for citizenship. Im so happy that this is over. What a

    relief.

  9. Just thought I would let everyone know that I found a new (at least for me) website and it seems to have good prices on plane tickets. It's called Flightnetwork. I havent used them but just searching and it seemed pretty good.

  10. Just got a notice in the mail that we have to have an interview on June 3rd. Im not real sure if this

is a good thing, Ive heard that its usually because they dont believe the marriage is bonifide. I am

concerned about income, I think we get just a little above what we need, but my husbands hours always

change. Is there any advice anyone can give me on what to expect or what to make sure that we have?

    Just nervous and paranoid.
