Thought i'd start this thread for october 2022 filers. I submitted my spouse's I-130 application on October 31st 2022. Got the receipt notice the same day. It initially said 8 months but by March it added another 8 months. Today suddenly it changed to an approximate of 3 weeks. Please share your progress and experiences as well.
Ir2 for my daughter October 2022 filer from 4 months, 7 mos, 6 mos then yesterday went down to 2 weeks estimated time. Hopefully decision will be made soon. Originally f2a (wife & daughter) but became naturalized last year so i filed new petition for my daughter .

I have a question, case ID not loaded what does it mean? I’m still waiting for USEM to schedule my wife interview.

Aww try expedite your daughter's case so that they can interview together.
State that your 10 year old will travel alone
As soon as i became a citizen the category changed to immediate relatives. As per advised by Uscis i need to file new I130 form that's why i informed my wife if she will be asked during her interview to tell the officer that I filed a new form and the case is connected something like that. 🙏

I got email from manila embassy that appointment scheduling should be done online via ustraveldocs.
I went online to schedule n case couldn't be found. And then I called the embassy that does scheduling and they escalated my case to schedule interview
I'll update you
Ok good. We are waiting for that email too appointment scheduling. Now I’m just waiting for my daughter separate I-130 to be approved. Hopefully she will be here at the end of the year. If my wife pass the interview my 10 yr old will be left behind and that makes me sad.

Got a similar situation. Filed F2A when i was a GC holder for my wife and 10 year old daughter back in 2019 DQed in 2020 but because of covid got stock since then. Fast forward to 2022 i became a citizen petition upgraded to IR1 and I immediately filed new petition for my 10 year daughter last October ‘22. January 9 got email from NVC case was expedited and file already in USEM manila and waiting for interview schedule. I was also hoping it will be for both of them.

Hi,
My biological daughter was born in Indonesia while I was a green card holder then I became a U.S citizen through Naturalization. My daughter came in to the U.S using IR 2 visa when she was 9-month-old but then received a 10-year green card instead of a Certificate of Citizenship.
I heard that we can just apply for a U.S Passport as proof of Citizenship or apply for a Certificate of Citizenship. What is the best way? Please advise...
Thank you in advance
How long was the process from filing a new I130? I have the same situation i filed f2a with my minor daughter as deriv. Then i was naturalized last year petition upgraded to IR. And filed new i130 last October for my minor child.

Received same email last week 1/9/23. I did request an expedite after i became a citizen. Filed a f2a petition with a minor derivative and now it was upgraded to IR and filed another I130 for my minor child. Did they scheduled your interview?

Just had my oath earlier NYC federal plaza. The ceremony only took around 25 mins. After we surrender our greencards the Field office supervisor conducted the oath ceremony then gave us our certificates. Finally done with the process and I already applied for passport 2 hours ago. Now will register to vote.

Hi,
Any recent NYC filers had their oath ceremonies done in NYC. Can you share your experience. I’m scheduled to take oath on Sep 2 next week Friday.
I’m a March 2022 filer.
thanks.

The previous user parsha posted information from the uscis website and I copied and pasted. So while the uscis website provides conflicting information the only difference between the two is being able to give five examples instead of three. They are the same questions.
My bad i'm still confused of the reply buttom in this forum lol. Oh okay i didn't know 2020 test will ask more examples. Some officers don't even complete the 6 questions. My own brother who got interviewed same day as me was only askes 3 question. Even my officer told me to write "Washington is the capital" . I'm like what ? . Lol. March filers we got this almost end of our immigration journey 👍

If you filed your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, on or after December 1, 2020, and before March 1, 2021, and were scheduled for your initial examination (interview) before April 19, 2021, you may choose to take the 2008 or 2020 civics test as you go through the naturalization process. All others will be required to take the 2008 civics test.
looks like we gonna have to take the 2020 but the only difference I see in both instead of listing three ud have to list 5… like for example list three of the original states it may ask to list five instead
2020 test was phased out last year April 19 2021. Check USCIS website

I am!! I am!!
but I saw this in the notification
"If you filed your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, on or after Dec. 1, 2020, and are required to take the 2020 version of the civics test, you may now have the option to take the 2008 version of the civics test. To learn if this option is available to you, visit the USCIS Citizenship Resource Center at uscis.gov/citizenship/2020test."
I filed March 2022, so do I test 2018 or 2020?!!
You will have the 2008 test. Just had my interview 3 weeks ago.
as per uscis👉“Applicants who filed their application for naturalization on or after Dec. 1, 2020, and before March 1, 2021, likely have been studying for the 2020 test; therefore, USCIS will give these applicants the option to take either the 2020 civics test or the 2008 civics test. There will be a transition period where both tests are being offered. The 2020 test will be phased out on April 19, 2021, for initial test takers. Applicants filing on or after March 1, 2021, will take the 2008 civics test.

Hello March 2022 filers just some updates. Recently passed my interview last week 7.28 NYC FO. Nerve wrecking experience but luckily the Officer was nice. Started with the civic test after the 6 questions he stopped then proceed to my n400 only few was asked. After that signed the documents. While finishing up my naturalization interview paper he just asked me some personal stuff about my work. He said he don’t have any issues with my application and congratulated me and now I’m just waiting for the oath ceremony letter. Wish you all good luck march 2022 filers.
