well, i did speak to someone nice actually. she said my date was february, i said november. she asked me to read the date on my noa1 and i did. she said, oh,you are out of our processing time. it seemed like she was changing something on the computer. then she said, well, we can't do anything until 30 days outside of processing. please call back in two weeks if you don't hear anything.
i can't say the result is great, but better than i expected. at least i know i don't actually have to live with a february date.
thanks everyone!

I just checked USCIS for the first time i a while. I sort of gave up after the constant disappointment. I see the CSC processing time shows Nov. 17 now. Mine was received Nov. 1. Should i call? will someone actually look at my file this time?
what do you all think? hate to waste my lunch on hold again.

i'll tell you what i feel.
who cares??????

you don't have to listen to your wife's constant chatter. cmon, we all know that whatever country it is, women are the same.
yap yap yap
oh by the way, the best thing about not know chinese is that whenever i visit, i don't have to pretend to listen or care when her friends are yip yip yipping

Which service center are you really? California?
Yes, it is at california now. how do i change that in my profile?

1. No
2. No
Does it hurt to call? Only if you're tying up the line that real RFEs need. Does it help? Almost certainly not.
haha, just as i suspected. thanks for your honesty.
here's to 183 days just pi$$ed away and looking forward to 180+ more.

Hello everyone,
I see this date is finally here for me. I fully realize that this is just an estimate but i do have some questions.
1. Is there any chance of getting any real information? I remember calling every week months ago asking where is my receipt and getting nothing.
2. Will they even recognize that i am overdue? the uscis website says Aug 19. will they even consider my call or just blow me off?
3. if anyone thinks i should call, what do you suggest i say or ask? is there anything i can do to get them to actually look at my case?
For some reason i feel that calling will be another waste of my lunch hour, so please let me know what you think.
Thanks everyone!

Question: anyone have any idea how long it takes to get an interview at Guangzhou consulate after NVC is finished? For some reason, i thought that was a quicker one, but my wife insists that it is another 3-4 months after NVC.
If she is right....that means my hope for the summer becomes winter....
anyone have any experience or knowledge to share?

CSC has been taking 130 to 160 days for P-2
Good luck!
130 to 160 from the date of receipt? or from the date of noa1?
i am at 166 days from the date of receipt by uscis. unfortunately, only 61 days from the date of my noa1.

Hey everyone, I thought of something last night while i was trying to sleep and now i am a little freaked out.
When i filed my i130 i was intending to send the i129 for the k3 later. since it took 4 months to get my noa1, i thought i wouldn't bother with the i129 and just stick with the cr1.
here's my potential problem: on my G325a forms, at the bottom where it says "this form is submitted in connection..." i checked "other" and wrote "k3" in the blank.
Does anyone think this will be a problem? should i call them and tell them i made a mistake? i'd hate to think that they will let my application sit until the i129 gets there.
or (makes a wish) am i over thinking everything as usual?
Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Did you have any other ideas on what we can do besides just writing letters? i see this forum is sort of a call to action, but no real idea what to do. you can count me in, but i have no ideas myself. if you have one, sign me up!

i am not sure if you want everyone that was caught in the delay as i sent mine oct. 29. my app was received nov. 1 and i got my noa-1 second week of feb. dated 2-7-08
-
Hey gang,
Just checking in to say that i decided i am not going to send my 129f in. with all the confusion about k3 being cancelled i am not taking the risk. my i130 was received nov. 1 and i was told initially to send 129 after receiving noa1. well, i got mine in february. an aide for my congressman spoke with uscis finally and told me we may be approved as early as june.
so, right or wrong, that's what i'm doing, waiting for cr1.
i just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your support and good luck to all. i'll be in cr1 forums from now on.
take care

HI,
Im an early Sept filer and got my NOA 1 in Jan. But i applied my I 129 F in two days after i got the notice. They say if your I 130 gets approved first your k3 will get canceled. but why take a chance. i think its better to keep K 3 applied as well. its not going to cost you any additional fee.
good luck on your journey...!
Filing the I-129F for spouse costs nothing in the way of fees but the best anecdotal evidence available indicates it costs as much as two or three months in processing time, as the petitions get married up before the I-130 becomes a widow. (I-129F dies of cancellation sickness)
What exactly are you saying? the 1-129 will make my application take longer? should i just skip it?
-
I'm not sure if this is the write place to post, but i'll try anyway.
I just got my receipt finally (october filer) for i-130. i heard from someone on here earlier that k3 is being cancelled?
should i file my i-129? or should i just wait for the cr1 to take it's course?

So Im somwat new to this but not completley new to visa processing as I have had a visa returned due to an error made but i was currious if anyone could tell me how long it took for there reciept number to come after the I 130 form was sent into the visa center. Any help is greatley appreciated.
well, i checked my bank today and my check has finally cleared. i check daily...
anyway, i expect my receipt notice soon. it has been exactly 104 days since they received my app and my check was cashed
-
that's my question
-
update!
i checked my bank today and they finally cashed my check!
thanks everyone for the kind words.
-
It has been 99 days since my i130 was received (nov. 1)
anyone else near this time? i mean, no noa1 and no check cashed?
i just think i'll feel a little better if i know others are in the same boat.
-
just wanted to see if anyone else had any info to add to this thread.
it's been 98 days for me now and still heard nothing. i see a lot of people are getting their checks cashed or noa1 that filed after me......
how are you november folks?
-
just curious if anyone else has fallen out of the stated time lines? Still haven't recieved anything, but my package was dated as being recieved on the 7th of december. I will call them soon. Just wondering if I'm alone or not.
yeah...join the club. mine was received nov. 1 and there are a ton of others in the same boat.
good luck

yes, i had extreme difficulty in understanding the woman i spoke with today. i had to ask her to repeat almost everything at least once.
browsing the vj again i see that a few people that filed after me have theirs and a few that filed before still have not.
all i want to know is that they got it for sure. usps confirmed receipt, that's how i know nov. 1, but a little peace of mind is all i am asking for. i am sure the irs wouldn't be so slow if i owed them money. ha!
