I was given a white sheet with instructions and website to send the documents to. My husband sent it in the evening the same day after the interview. On the 12th May my son’s status was updated but still on refused. No administrative processing. Mine too is on refused after I was told I was approved by the officer after the interview. but my son needed a supporting documents from his father. I know if my son’s visa is issued, it will reflect mine too. But why the delay.

Hello, please how is it that after my interview at the US embassy in Ghana, my status is still on refused with no update? I was interviewed together with my son 5yr, I was approved by the Officer, and was given a domestic violence paper to read through and a sheet to direct me on how to pick up my visa. I was told to submit a supporting document from my husband for our son before his is approved. We submitted it that same evening after the interview, It been 4 weeks 3days now. my status is still on refused and my son’s too. No update yet. What could delay the process. The mistake I made was, At the end of the interview, the officer asked if he should issue mine or I will wait for my son’s documents to be ready so he issue for both of us. There I said he should wait so we get our visas the same day so we travel together. Now I can’t think straight, it’s like the biggest mistake I have made throughout this visa processing.

That was 20 days after the interview. My interview was on April 13, today is May 16. And no notification about the case.

Please how many weeks did it take for your status to change from refused to issue after submitting the required documents? I am in the same situation but it’s 4 weeks now, no update or response from the embassy.
