  1. Congrats let-it-be. In my case, I rescheduled my parents interview appointment online and in the instructions, they were asking for the ceac confirmation letter. I do not know if it applies to immigrant visas as well? or do the just have to disregard it?

    Thanks Trin :D

This is the link: https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ .

I basically just had my parents copy paste the "CEAC Case status" to a MS Word.

  2. Hello all! Not sure where to ask this. I hope someone can help me.

I already paid AOS fees for my in-laws and now I'm filing my i-864 and i-864A for both of them. I'm confused if I need to file two separate i-864/i-864A for each of them?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, separate Affidavit of Support packets for each applicants/beneficiaries.

  3. I'd recommend Casa Bocobo too. Nothing fancy. Significantly cheaper to book through Asiatravel orAsiaroom sites. It is a walking distance to SLEC.

In a couple of days, it'll be the third time my parents are going to stay there.

  4. No, there are no additional fees, paperwork, or AOS filing once he arrives to get the green card. He will get a green card in the mail in about a month.

Since the visa is CR-2 I'm not clear on whether he'll get a 2 year green card or 10 year green card, since CR-2 implies it will be a 2 year green card. IR-2 would be a 10 year green card.

How long have you and your wife been married?

There is still an additional fee, the Immigrant Fee which is $165. See link for more info: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=3a2bb75e8109b310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=fe529c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

  5. I think what the OP is trying to say is that his wife's maiden name is also reflected on her green card (aside from her married name)?

Opps. I just re-read the OP's title. His wife' green card has her maiden name. They can correct this when they finally file for removal of conditions. First file for report of marriage to the philippine consulate so she can change the name on her phil passport to her married name. Good luck OP.

  6. once i got the NVC Case number is it ok to send the ds3032? or wait till they send me the email?

Please take the time to read the thread (link) I gave you above, It will only take a few minutes to so. All the answers to your questions can be found there in Post # 2.

EDIT: I will give you the link again to that thread. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/427843-nvc-filers-may-2013/?p=6197399

  7. I just logged back in my father's/mother's account(s) that I signed up on their behalf. Their interview appointment can only be seen now in appointment history. In order to see available appointments, I had to click on "schedule appointment" & go through all the options to get to the calendar part.

I think one can only technically register if NVC has finally set an interview schedule. I'm not really sure.

  8. Sorry to hear about that. Sounds like a unstable situation.

Once you have an interview schedule, you can register in ustravel.docs site & logged in there everyday to see available interview slots. You can then re-schedule your wife's appointment to an earlier one. I had to re-schedule my parents appointment to a later month so I know this can be done.

I was just checking the site & there are 13 available days. Maybe, others had to cancel theirs or the one who posted about June being fully booked was of different category (K-1).

  9. Relax, you're almost there. You are more likely going to received the email from NVC about your interview appointment two weeks after Case Complete. I've read here that the June interview slots are pretty much booked. So you are looking at probably July or August appointment.

    Immigrant Visa Appointment

All case processing for Manila, including appointment scheduling for immigrant visa cases, is generally done at the National Visa Center (NVC) in the U.S. An applicant’s case number does not determine his or her position in the scheduling queue. Once a case is current (i.e., priority date is current for processing), and is “documentarily qualified”(i.e., all the necessary, completed documents are received at the NVC) , the waiting time for an appointment date is approximately one (1) to three (3) months.

As soon as an appointment date becomes available, NVC will forward the case to Embassy Manila. NVC will also send the petitioner and/or the authorized agent/representative an appointment letter.
