  1. Received phone call from District Representative today Nov. 30, 2007

The district representative is now going to call The Vermont Service Center. yay!

I told the district rep. that my wife and I still did not receive a confirmation number.

Added a signature receipt to our packet when I mailed it out so that way I knew that VCS received our case.

I got so excited I had to call my wife and post to the forum.

Yeah way to go hun gl!!!!!!! Thats what you gotta do after that amount of time we are right behind ya doing same.

    Cheers

  2. Hi Gogo,

I just checked in CRIS this morning and found out that they have sent me an RFE for my I-129F. Am I disappointed to learn about the RFE? You bet I am. Am I discouraged and demoralized? I used to get angry just like you but have realized that constant anger and frustration is not going to help me at all. You have to stay strong no matter what. It is my humble request to you, please dont go. I will be praying for you and all those who are in same boat. Cheer up buddy.

sorry about your RFE waitingforwifey. I'm sure you'll quickly give them what they need and they'll approve you.

Gogo I can't believe you're leaving us. I'm sad about it. Please don't go.

sorry to see that RFE but sure you will expedite whatever they need and get your journey back on path. As far as GOGO, no word from my email to him, hopefully he can calm down enough to come back and share his experience with us. I for one really hope so and even though I have only been here a short time, I have enjoyed his wisdom and ok yes his rants for it made me realize what I already knew, that our system needs work and corrections and all he did was challenge it and voice it in his own way. I would never fault that on anyone as that is what makes this world special not one person is the same in their makeup soooooooo, come on GOGO, i miss ya hun~!

  3. That is so ridiculous. I am sorry. :(

Darn sorry hun, but a friend of mine here called today and made sure he got an immigration officer and not just the Customer Service Rep - they are doing a trace for him also as for me. And your timeline is longer than ours. Dont wait, at least call back and do the trace, what can it hurt?

Cheers and hope you get some news soon

    Susie

Susie: This is a thought. The reason they may have put a trace on yours is because you are going through California and their processing date for NOA1 is 8/30 and yours was received before that date.

However, for someone like Sahil, hers was mailed to Vermont and Vermont is only working on 7/29 receipt dates and she didn't mail hers until July 31. She should be hearing something very soon.

Aye hun your right my ooopsie sorry!!!!

  4. Cheers all,

I have just had the strangest call from my aunt who worked for CNN as a co anchor and she said the following to me:

She said that she happened to catch a blog on MSNBC about a show called "WHO WANTS TO MARRY AN AMERICAN" and its on some cable channel.. I will try to google for more information but if this is true and anyone else saw this blurb, can you let me know as THAT IS OUT OF ORDER. Shw said it was pretty much out of order and a spoof on us.

A fellow VJ and myself are going to see Glenn Beck Saturday to speak with him. Should be good, a liberal and conservative, when it comes to this issue, there are no divides.

Please post if you saw this.... I am ourtaged.

Cheers and would move this thread but dont know how sorry all.

    Susie

Darn never done this before replying to my own post,. Was so teed off that didnt see there was another thread on this so it is true. SICK!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I really hope. I'm would really like My Honey and Gogo and the rest who have been waiting so long to get their approvals. For all those who are still waiting, believe me when I tell you I was the king of frustration, and thinking I was not going to be approved until this January or February. Just know it will happen and hang in there.. :star:

Hey!! We were approved on NOVEMBER 20, 2007 :dance: MY HONEY IS VERY HAPPY JUSTING WAITING FOR THE NVC.. :D

    Banfield

CONGRATS GOOD TO HEAR!! My best to both on the rest of your journey. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  8. I hope you stay because VJ will help in the rest of the visa journey.

There are a lot of us stuck at the embassy level in AP/AR and should you find yourself in that situation when you proceed through the

current hold up then you will find encouragement from members who have unreasonable waiting times.

Just read my siggy and you get the idea what I am going through, just letting you know there are many of us with delays.

    God bless !

GooooGoopooo- Come back hun. You have now erased all your data dont do it. You need to be here to share your experience to those that shall come and need it. DONT YOU DARE GIVE UP!

    S

  9. then you can't make a comment.. because you don't know enough about my situation..

I really couldn't care less about why you posted what you did, or what you do every day. I don't even know what you're babbling about in regard to some other thread. I read this topic, saw that you were being a drama queen, and commented on that

Having said that then why come on and say drama queen???

And if you could care less, why even post??

Learning to use the quote feature would be a good idea....

I'll try to use small words.

    Me know nothing of history.

Me see topic that is one big drama queen/Wah! fest.

    Me reply.

Me can reply to ANYTHING me want to.

Learning to be solid in your words would be helpful also and if i choose not to use the quote system, give me a break!

  10. then you can't make a comment.. because you don't know enough about my situation..

  11. FINE, if you think I cause more HARM here, then I'll just delete my account...

see you guys, it's been fun

    DRAMA QUEEN ITT!!!!!11oneoneeleven

I dont feel anxious reading his post or upset about what he is posting. I find that his way of reaching out to authorities is a serious post and can be a solution for other people that may find this issue hitting them down the road. You never know when it will hit you - but for now, I dont think drugs or booze are the solution as you mentioned for him to take up as a diversion

What I see here is THANK GOD HE HAD THE GUTS TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND WHAT MOST DO.

    Cheers GOGO

  12. Cheers All,

Have spoken to a few VJ members that live in the Central Florida area.

As we are all in the same canoe here with the misfortune of having filed our applications after the fee increase and being told to wait wait wait, I am going to schedule an appointment at Sentator Martinez's office in downtown Orlando. Raise the fee USCIS I really dont care, but at least have the foresight to hire additional people to handle the load. Also, dont treat me like a second class citizen in a third world country and tell me my application is being put on hold so that you can work on N4s for citizenship just so they can vote. This is no offense to people applying for citizenship, I just believe that all applications should be sorted as received and THIS IS NOT HAPPENING!

I have noticed quite a few of you that are in the general viciinty and thought maybe the more that walked into that office the more they would take notice........or not. Willing to take the chance./

Please post here and keep in mind, I am not going there to say where is my application yet, I am going there to address the immigration issue and the delays and the effects of families all around the world. This country has been entrenched the last seven years with family values so I thought I would just dig deeper and drive the point home. This country has always had family morals at its heart of heart, but with Bush saying FAMILY VALUES, I thought I would just go a step up on him and ask him to show me./

Cheers all and even though it may not help, I will not know that until I try. I will also alert the news media on the visit, whether they show up or not, tis not of my mindset right now to wonder yes or no , I just want to make a statement, FOR ALL OF US.

    Cheers

    Susie

  13. Ctygl, I don't know why some people get approved that quickly. Perhaps they have filled in their timelines incorrectly and it only appears they got approved so quickly. I do know that for the I-129F, those that sent that in several months after their I-130, would make it look as if the former were being approved much more quickly than normal (but it's really because they sent their I-130 in so much earlier).

Ctygl - I wish i could respond with a correct answer but I cant. It makes no sense to me and I can not be jealous of a filer that filed later than me and has an approval or receipt number , its the luck of the draw, even tho it is not fair. The protocal according to USCIS is that they will process in order received "whatever that is".

Cheers and gl on your journey cause I think alot of us are in for one heck of a ride. I selling seatbelts on ebay fyi - want a good deal "-)

    Susie

  14. Are you angry with USCIS? the number, they always have to answer, is 202-272-1000. (laughing) i chewed them out, then they threatened to rune me through checke and stuff and i said bring it..... i hope you all, my fellow VJ'ers, keep them up all nite.....

You're my hero if you had the balls to chew them out.

I kissed butte for over a year and only replied Yes sir/mam afraid they would "click a button" and cause me big problems.

I never had to be such a big whimp in my life.

One of the operators could barely speak English and he said I couldn't call again for 30 days and was noting such in my file.

Reason was I called 2 times in one day. Unlucky as I got the same jerk.

I wanted to fly to California and catch the guy in a dark alley when he got off work.

BP is high right now thinking about it and it was over a year ago! GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Ok called the number to see if anyone was awake and guess what - yes they were, the best part is that the guy told me they had nothing to do with USCIS and to call 1 800 375-5283. I told him that number was on my speed dial right after my husbands number......he sounded as if I woke him up. SAD!!!!!

  15. I was just looking at processing times at the USCIS web site, and both Californa and Vermont are currently completing I-130 applications from May. They should update the page somewhere around Dec 18th.

Thanks Rip, yes I have that page in my favs - I actually have two applications in but as you can see from my rantings from previous post, there are a few of us just looking for confirmation of receipt after 90 days plus. Have USCIS doing a trace now and they were more than happy to proceed with that little request, probably just to keep me happy for another thirty days :-). I am not really worried about the process after that I know that will take time, I just want to make sure that the application has not been blasted off into space somewhere and we will have to reconfig the whole package - oh wait we have a lawyer, they can do that goodie.

    Cheers and gl to ya

    Susie

  16. I can understand being sad about delays. I can understand being frustrated that life has to be put on hold while there are delays. I can even understand getting a bit angry now and then. But the truth is that we have zero choice other than to wait _if_ we want our spice/SOs to come to the States. If all we want is to be together than there is always moving to their country as an option.

I don't find complaining very productive if it is just railing at the system. It changes nothing and often the things that are said only serve to confuse other people about what is really going on and what they should to to properly work through processing visa paperwork.

Maybe there should just be a RANT ABOUT THE SYSTEM board setup so people can rant, but not muddy the waters.

I have no idea when my husband and I will be living together. So this means we will continue to live mostly separate lives (economically) and that we can only work so far toward our future together. That's the life we've chosen. Did we choose to have the process delayed more than anticipated? No. But that's life. We are grownups and we know that sh*t happens. So you roll with it.

    thank you mary poppins

I think at this point, no one knows anything. What was the way to work last year is all out the window now.

How can they NOT progress beyond ONE single day of apps in 6 weeks?

Maybe you are sittting pretty, but I have important decisions that need done based on knowing if the process will even begin within 1 , 2, 3 5 or 12 years.

I agree with MsZ. If you are continously looking on the website for a new change then you are setting yourself up for disappointment. it has been said that the I-13o process is on an average of 6 MONTHS! Not 6 weeks! So stop looking for an update cause you won't get one. Just put it out of your head. I know easier said than done, but you have to look at the bigger goal not this short term website update goal.

There are people who got an NOA1 3-4 months after submission, but then the NOA2 rolled around maybe a month later, so in the end no time was really wasted. As long as you are ok with the idea that the ENTIRE process from application-POE will be around 10months to a year you shold be ok. Once things start pushing beyond a year thats when you should start ranting and raving and checking all the time. At the service center stage you are way to early in rants. I mean, you still have NVC and the Embassy to go through.

I'm sorry for your wait, but just look beyond and you'll start to feel some comfort in the situation.

Actually there is one case that comes to mind that he had sat by and waited he would be waiting until God knows when by the looks of things. Read up on GOGO and if he had not been on top of things calling and writing the WHITE HOUSE, his application would be sitting gathering dust somewhere for a long long time. TO EACH HIS OWN.

Actually complaining and stating the facts will IN FACT MAKE A DIFFRENCE IF IT IS DIRECTED TO THE RIGHT AREAS. I for one will not sit back and wait while the upper gods decide if they are going to levie fees today or whatever little project keeps them busy for the time being. TO sit back and be silent besides this great forum, omg NO WAY.

FYI - when speaking to Immigration Officer yesterday at CSC she did inform me that California was working on September 3, 2007. So lets see one day progress in what - a month or so - ffs - come on peeps, write phone do what it takes, we are American's and we have that right. Hit your politican's the time is right, election era coming up next year, hit the reporter who wrote a story here, but dont ever ever give up trying. To sit back and wait, well may work for some, but not for me. THIS SYSTEM NEEDS A GOD DAMN OVERHAUL.

    Cheers

p.s If you have just recently begun the waiting period then let me hear from you in three months about not getting any results - otherwise you can remain silent FOR I WILL NOT!!!

  18. nerdette, here's a post I did on another thread.. hope this helps =)

    ====================================

my latest thing is I got transferred to the LOS ANGELES LOCAL office (both I-130 and I-129F on November 27)... today, the I-129F got touched again (November 28 last updated date).. if it does get approved soon, I have a trick for all you guys still waiting..

email the Vice President (####### Cheney) and President...

    http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/

talk about how your case is over 180 days and your situation ... I did, and received a letter in the mail in about 2 weeks from them stating they will look into my case (from Homeland security, who is the boss of USCIS).. they want to keep a record of all dealings and will have a person contact me... which was yesterday (from area code 202 -- Washington D.C.).. I got to talking someone from USCIS - Homeland Security Dept.. a person called Mr. Miller... good.gif he stated there was something going to happen soon with my case..

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGOOOOO - way to go hope it resolves itself soon and I luv to hear this stuff - keep us informed as I know you will. GO GO GO GOGOGGOGOGOGO

  19. That is strange from a person arriving on IR-1 Visa..

plus the water company in england sent me a bill for £550 (1100 US) - mistaken meter reading i hope - and the return deposit for my UK house was sent by the managers to the landlord 'by mistake'.

It was sent again to my bank account 4 days ago but has not arrived.

The gas company took 2 weeks of emails to recognize my account - I eventually sent them a screen shot of my bank 'bill pay' which i used to pay them every quarter before they would admit i was one of their customers...

It seems that horrible administration problems are not confined to the USA or even the USCIS which is reassuring in an odd way.

On the other hand I hope my mother (93) doesnt get sick as I hardly dare visit outside the US until I receive all this stuff.

Both my car registration plates and driver's license will expire in a week or two and as for the temporary car title !!!

Actually I am counting my blessings (a 2 meg connection over the supposedly 15 meg cable)

I thought I would ease my mind and go throw peanuts to the squirrels but the 'condo committee ' interviewed me for one and a half hours (and charged me $25 to be interviewed) and said that was forbidden along with 15 sheets of other rules.

I would sit in the bath and get drunk instead but they might have me on cctv

    alan

    Alan,

I gotta say this and I mean it seriously, this post has made me laugh all the while as I read it. Not at your problems, as we all have them, but at the sense of humor you have amassed to keep sane in this world/

The condo committe and the squirrel, omg Im sorry on the floor. about good as our government and redefining immigration control.....out of order

    Good luck mate

    Susie

  20. Susie: No, I do not have a receipt number for my I-130. I have one for my I-129f which was mailed on September 18, a month after my I-130. My I-130 is still sitting here since August 15 in a pile of papers somewhere and that is what they are telling me to wait another 2-3 weeks. I have already waited 15 weeks which is more than 90 days.

My I-130 was received by VSC on Aug 4. I do not have any NOA1 yet. I was gonna call them up today but after seeing Dodson's post I guess I will wait for another couple of weeks.

Hun, why wait at least let them put a tracer on it....they did for me at the 90 day mark. At least it will give u some comfort knowing they are working and not having a coffee break. Wait sorry there, actually I think they all are working their tushes off, its the government that couldnt get it right.

I have had great conversations with both their CSR's and Immigration Officers, dont believe what I have heard, but you may be in the sytem and NOA1 just could be lost in the mail. Dont wait, call, the more the merrier.

    Cheers

  21. Question for you.... How did you manage to mail in the I-129 without the I-130 receipt?

Or do I assume you DID get a reciept.

Is it possible to mail in multiple copies of the same stuff to each center hoping one gets a reciept before 2019?

Our lawyer is pretty much with it omg surprise and did mail both since your receipt on the sending shows proof of delivery to USCIS. Its been discussed in other threads, would I have done it, I would not even had a clue at that time what an I-129 or I-130 was so i hope it helps. It all went to Texas and then its being airlifted to or has been to California sometime before 2020. lol

Spoke with misimmigration today, they are working on September 3rd apps btw.

    Cheers

well f'it then I think I'll try the same, I do have my USCIS Delivery comformation and number saying it has been sent and recieved.

I still think its completely unfair people are moving ahead of me in processing just because of where I was "told" to send my packet, Vermont.

I have no confidence anything is going to happen in the next 1 year. Into 4th month of absoulutely didly.

    Hoho-

And yes u still have to send it to your service center of record I asked my lawyer and USCIS yesterday why we didnt just go through to Califonria, but they both said, no it still has to go to Texas in my case first and then airlifted via space shuttle to CSC/ But yes on sending now, you do not have to wait to receive NOA1 to send off other application - your receipt of delivery is sufficient. Another member and I are basically neck on neck on timelines and he is biotching up a storm with our congressman also and he sent both also.

And yes f' em. cheers mate

p.s Houston we have a problem lol
