Which receipt number are you using? You need to use the one on the Biometrics paper to look at it on line.
I'd say yep about a month for you
Thanks for your reply, yeah I compared both letters and was using the one from the NOA1. I was able to find my case online using the biometrics.

What did the others who got RFE's send? That is the big question. They may not have included as much as you did?
Did your stuff cover the 2 year period? Say 2-3 from each each as far as the bank statements? Is the lease for the last 2-3 years? You should just chill lax and if an rfe does come ( hope not ) just send the taxes in. Have them ready in cases though
More from 2009, that's because after both got decent jobs we opened savings accounts, more purchases like a new car and I even sent the picture of us when we pick it up from the dealership. From 2008, taxes, and some other stuff. I also include pictures of trips, itineraries last year because as well, we had been fresh out of college and did not travel as much in 2008 and we did in 2009.

Hello everyone,
I did not sent our income tax for 2007 since when we got approved the first time, we showed the one for 2007, I just didn't see it necessary. I guess I should have, I just sent the one from 2008 and back in January we hadn't even filed taxes for 2009. Also, I did not send a copy of our marriage license because also did not see the point since we got approved because we were married on the first place.
Do you think USCIS would send an RFE just because of that? Other than that I guess I pretty much covered all bases, sent everything. Statements, insurance policies, beneficiary policies, photographs, affidavits from friends and landlord, itineraries of trips from last year, etc.
Thanks! I'm just kinda worried seeing that in January 2 people who filed with VSC received RFEs

When filling the Affidavit of Support, as an F1 student on OPT can I be the sponsor since my wife is in school still? I currently make enough money to be over 125% above the poverty line.
I don't see why not, I would add a statement explaining this situation just to make sure USCIS understands and even if she is still earning some money add her W-2's and prior both your 1040s.

not really a clear idea but I would bring the notice of action and your H1B just in case.
Still since your work visa allows you to leave and come back to the US, you shouldn't worry too much if you aren't carrying your NOA1

Adjusting status in this case is a perfectly acceptable and legitimate path. Unless there are reasons to suspect that they married solely for immigration benefit, they will not be subjected to separate interogation. I would expect an uneventful and successful adjustment of status in this case.

if someone has an F1 visa (and has been in the US for two years, going to school etc.), travels abroad/home for a few weeks, comes back, and then shortly after coming back (a week within re-entry) gets married, is this going to be a problem? Does intent matter (whether the couple decided to get married before coming back, or after coming back)? Some clarification please.

No, it doesn't matter. I was in the same boat; F-1, american girlfriend, went back and forth to/from Mexico and I'm about to lift conditions.
What matters is if you decided to get married while being away and still the F-1 student entered the US with the intention to stay permanently. The intention when crossing the border is what matters. The idea of getting married in the future to your American sweetheart is not wrong but actual plans to get married and still leaving the country and coming back is what is wrong.

She has to contact her local embassy and go through the screening process before and IF they are issued a tourist visa.
Her local American embassy can give her the list of documents that she needs to bring in order to apply plus any other necessary information, she has to prove that she will not overstay.

you are right I shouldnt have questiond his motives , whats done is done he could send the pakege again and see if he gets the NOA ( extention letter ) then take it from there
I still say since he got no NOA ( extention letter )
should seak advice from a lawyer
since he is not in the US and he is not sure where his marriage will lead to,
if he doesnt want to chance loosing the application fee maybe a laywer would have the answer he needs to hear
I totally agree with you, at least you are a person that can welcome advice without turning disrespectful. We need more members like that in VJ.

yo se oiga, si se preocupa uno de mas
pero he comparado la lista de documentos y a muchos no les mandan RFE por no mandar el del 2007asi que ya estoy mas tranquilo. Lo que pasa es que ver 2 RFEs en la lista me preocupo porque en CSC ni uno y ya casi todos estan aprobados
