  1. Thanks afterforever!!!!

Im really starting to fade with the optimism.....tonight i feel depressed because this whole thing is out of my hands and i cant do a damn thing about it....Tonight is one of those nights that it is killing me really bad...I would give anything to hear Leidy's voice or her son running around...instead all i here is this silence that seems soooo loud and torturing!!! I'm losing hope! I actually had a long time that i was patient and was taking well as each day passed but after spending the 5 days with Leidy in Panama, this is becoming something too difficult to deal with....But like i said .....i cant do anything about it.. :(

I understand and last night was my night to cry......everyday that goes by I feel more and more frustrated and helpless.....I just got back from Peru last month and I was for sure that he would be coming to me before Christmas......but now I know that that is not going to happen.....so I hope for the new year.....and remember his eyes looking into mine and believe that we can over come this too.......I too am sitting here alone in my house watching TV and trying to keep myself positive......I have many hard times in my life but I am thinking this is the hardest........with the greatest reward....Hang on....Lora

  2. Hi guys....I am now having a moment of pure sadness.....157 days and nothing.......Even if we get an approval the closer we get to the holidays the more likely the interview in Lima will be after January 1.......which makes me have Christmas lone this year....My children with there father.......and I was checking airfare to Lima and it is 4x the normal rate for the last 3 weeks in December.......Help....I am about to cry.....I am happy for all of you guys but this is very hard right now

    Question.

It's been 151 days since we sent out our I-129F. Is it NORMAL to have NO TOUCHES, NO NOTHINGS since June 10th when our cheque was cashed? And by nothing, I mean nothing on the website, nothing from our lawyer, nothing in my mailbox, nothing in my email, nothing. If you look at my timeline, it's blank as a baby's bottom.

    Everyday I check my timeline and the adjudication date is changed from Oct 9, 10, 11, 25, 26, Nov 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 9, 10, 8, 11, etc. What is this, Sudoku?

No touches! Are we the only June filers who haven't been touched? I want to be touched, dammit! My fiance called the office last week and still, the website doesn't show we've been touched! Touch me, dammit! I ain't a friggin virgin, no worries! Touch me all you want! GRRR!!!

Is this normal? Are we abnormal? Is my frustration founded? When I become president of the USA I will fire all these USCIS wankers. Am I wrong to think this way?

    Help!

I am in the same boat as you...I have had nothing....nada......on the internet...from my lawyer...so I went to my congressman today an the liason officer found out that our application has been on the case workers desk since November 1...but nothing shows to indicate that was going on....so o not give up......We filed June 5....with June 10 Noa1 then nothing.........so I think some of them upate the case and some do not.....Good luck...Lora

  4. Hello,,

everyone,,,my fiance is half of my age does it matter,,beacuse someone said here in this forum that his application is in red flag because of a 7 years age gap..well thats OsLora Tamm...

just curious because csc received my application june 1... but until now no touches done since june 20..grrrrrrrr.

The liason officer told me todday that because I (Lora) am 7 years older then Oscar that they look at that differently....It appears sexist to me but she said it is there job to detect fraud and anything different to them is flagged for further review.....not RFE....they were trying to explain the reason our file has been with the caser worker since Nov. 1......that is all....she told me the real important time for the age difference to come to light would be at the interview so we are both going to be going very prepared......Lora

  5. Consider yourself fortunate! Our timelines are very simialar. Vermont is moving at a snails pace!

.....Also we are red flagged because of our age difference.....I am older then Oscar by 7 years....so they are looking us over for possible fraud....which is not the case here......

####### is up with that, only a 7 year difference. I have not heard that one before.............

    Good luck!!

    You read my mind. #######!!!!!

I am thinking it has to do with me being older then Oscar.....they are looking for anything they deem as different.....so just so you know....that was what the liason told me today....Lora

  6. Hi everyone......I live about 20 minutes outside of Washington, DC and just got back from my Congressman's office......It actually was interesting.....the liason with the USCIS called the Vermont Center and found out our case is with a case worker since November 1.....they said that because of the length of time they have been taking to process the cases that they are having to do an extra security check on the petitioner(from Noa1 until now) to make sure I have not committed a major crime or something......Also that our age difference......I am older then Oscar makes our case a red flag case for fraud........I know that earlier in the forum someone asked about that and they do consider that......I said the the liason that more older woman are dating younger men now and she said her husband was 10 years younger then her....but he lived down the street from her not in another country were someone has the right to scrutinize the relationship.......So I at least know they have it on someone's desk.....Oh please God say yes.....Lora

Do you live in MD side or VA side? If it is MD, what is the name of the Congressman did you pay visit?

Hi Omizo...I see your in Maryland like me....so perhaps this will help....

I live in Northern Virginia.....Congressman Wolfe......they were very very helpful.....I will always vote for him now

Im right down the road from you...right below Fredericksburg....cool

WoW...that is great.....I live in Bristow....and filed June 6 so you are right behind me........It makes me feel so much better to know you guys are so close........and can unerstand how I feel....thanks......Lora

Awesome, I am in Manassas. Hello neighbors

I used to live in Gainesville but got out of there before the congestion became unbearable. Now I live on my farm and work from home. No more traffic!

How bless you are to work from home. I work in Tysons Corner my day starts at 4:30 am :crying: :crying: to avoid most of the congestion. Not sure if that will happen once Hakeem is here

Life in Northern Virginia........You must be creative to live and work here....I do worry though about Oscar adjusting to this place....Luckily I work at the hospital in Manassas so my commute is 8 minutes in the morning

  7. Hey on the USCIS homepage, righthand column there is an update on processing delays.

It says those who filed after june 1 will have a longer wait. I wonder if they mean longer than we have already waited or if they are just getting around to letting us know there processing times have slowed down?

The fact that some June/July/Beyond filers have been approved...hm it's hard to say. I'd like to think that it's not any more, but yeah.

I am also a Virginian for those that care to know, I live in Norfolk ^_^

This is making me feel all warm and fussy inside.....You guys are the best......Here I felt so alone and now I have people all around.....Come on Vermont Center....Virginia is waiting for you....Lora

  8. Consider yourself fortunate! Our timelines are very simialar. Vermont is moving at a snails pace!

Hey guys just to let you know what happened to me today.....We filed our application with VSC on June 5 with a NOA1 notice June 10 then nothing......We are at 154 days so I called the customer service number....and got nada, nothing from them but that they are working on April 29th applications......I live 20 minutes from Washington, DC so I got pissed and went to my Congressmans office....the USCIS liason called and in 10 minutes found out our application was on a case workers desk since November 1...She told me there is an extra security screening that has to be done due to there slowness in processing....making sure I have not killed someone in the 5 months we have been waiting.....Also we are red flagged because of our age difference.....I am older then Oscar by 7 years....so they are looking us over for possible fraud....which is not the case here......but at least I know they are working on it.......I found out more in that one visit then 20 phone calls to customer service.....Good Luck to us both.......You are right behind me......Lora

This is great....When we safely get everyone here we will have to have a party..........and we all filed within a week og each other

  13. I feel so frustrated right now, I can't wait for tomorrow to find out what that stupid letter says!

The worst thing is that today is my stepsister's bday and I gotta go to her house and fake a happy face and pretend that everything is fine just when in the inside I feel like ####### about all this....of course she's gonna ask once again when am I leaving and how is the process going and I'm just so sick and tired or having the same answer....

I don't feel like going out and pretend I'm happy when I'm not.

Sorry guys but I just had to let this out.....This doesn't mean I stopped being positive and hopefull! No way! But this is something that I had inside me that I had to let go......

Sorry! Hopefully some of you will understand my frustration...

Hi Mirla, I understand your frustration Oscar and I are 153 days and nothing.......Oscar lives in Arequipa and says the same thing that every single day his family asks about the visa and when when when....he gets to come home to me.......I am going to loose it tomorrow with this agency.......I am calling congressmen and senators and since I live 20 miles from Washington I might just show up at someones offices tomorrow with some questions......I hope the best for you.......Lora.....p.s.....for all of us

  14. whew...im on my 155 days.. i just hope for our NOA2's....do i need to call them?i mean the customer service

We are right behind you with application recieved on June 5........I calledd the lawyer I used and got this reply

    Hello Lora,

We expected your case to be approved already, but ever since the USCIS changed so many of their procedures around, it is hard to tell.? As far as we can tell, nothing is wrong with your case, they have not requested any further information – so that is a good sign.? Right now it’s just a matter of waiting for it to be approved.? I have contacted USCIS numerous times and they always say that they are processing from April – but we have gotten approvals for petitions filed after that.? We will let you know as SOON as we hear news

But who knows what is going on in these centers.......either mayhem or long coffee breaks.....Lora.....I am trying to keep the faith

  15. an odd VSC approval has just appeared at the top of the list - Camilo and Margaret, Argentina, down as having received their NOA1 on September 24, and their NOA2 on November 31

now, that last is clearly a typo, but I wonder what the real date was? and if they're truly late September filers than that's another one completely out of the blue at VSC

Of the last 10 VJ VSC K1 approvals, 3 were petitions filed in the second half of September. 2 of the 3 said they were not in the military. The third is has never made any VJ posts so we don't know if they had a military expedite. None of the 3 is from Cuba.

What the heck is going on in VSC?! Did they forget their first come, first served policy? Am I the only one starting to get annoyed by this?

Annoyed? Heck yeah Bill! And somewhat bitter too. Here we are at months and months of waiting and these people are getting approved at around one month. As I have said before, so much for processing petitons in the order received. While I am glad to see approvals, I really believe that those of us who have been waiting so long should take priority!

I am with you Jason....Our appliation went in June 5....then nothing.....I callled the lawyer we used and got this answer......

    Hello Lora,

We expected your case to be approved already, but ever since the USCIS changed so many of their procedures around, it is hard to tell.? and that is all folks.....No one even the lawyers unerstand what is going on in VSC land.........Lora

  16. Sweety10, I know how you feel, too. But as I keep reading here (and seeing), some files get approvals with no touches at all. Just because a file is "touched" doesn't mean any substantive work on it is being done (for example, they may just move it from one pile to another, and scan it in the process). Your timeline indicates a June 2007 NOA1 date for your I-130. Given that the USCIS processing times say they are meeting their goal of 6 months on processing those, I think you'll be hearing from them soon.

However, trust me when I tell you this: Though I'm able to write all this reasonable stuff for you to not lose hope, my husband and I are at the end of our ropes, too. The length of this process is just horribly long and something should be changed so that families aren't kept apart for so long.

    Hang in there!

I feel the same way.....Oscar and I filed with the VSC on June 5, 2007 and nothing......the silence is deafening.....no touches no nothing.......I came to this forum also to find solice in knowing that I am not alone.....so for 151 days we wait and I truly share the joy of those who have gotten approvals and I can feel our turn is coming.....PLEASE COME......and our life journey can begin again...this time not between countries and airports or webcam but the ability to open my eyes every morning and see the love of my life's face.........Keep the faith.....Lora

  17. Its not the application fees that is painful. It is the unreasonable amount of time required for waiting. I am not convinced that extending the waiting time by several months allows them to increase the level of security. It is not like that the spend several months investigating a person's background. The amount of time spent on each application is probably measured in hours, not weeks or months. And I also wonder why H1(work visas) do not have to wait for 6-9 months? Are they considered to be more peace loving, non-harmful people?

I agree with you.....It really makes little sense to me also.....I am thinking because of the internet and peoples travel habits that we are the coming tidal wave of application that USCIS is going to get....and they need to figure this out or they will have many many upset citizens......but in this country money talks...not love....and business needs there workers you know.......I am hoping this will be better for those who follow us......Lora as always good luck to us all

Hi Erveryone...I have been watching and listening for a couple of days now and I am just about ready to loose my mind...VCS recieved our application on June 4, 2007 and we recieved our NOA1 on June 10 then nothing.....the silence from VCS is deafening.....November 2 is 150 days....5 months of silence.....I am so anxious I can not look at the website anymore...Oscar has to do it......I keep thinking soon but........this is hard.....Lora

Hang in there Lora, mine was approved at 152 days and on a Sunday no less. Keep checking the USCIS web site and don't rely on getting a Chris email. I never did get a Chris email, but it is on their web site approved and I also got the hard copy NOA2 in the mail about 3 days after the approval. Good luck.

thanks Bill B.....If I could get my mind off of this for a few hours I could actually get something done.....I am a nurse and the other day I was delivering a baby and my mind went flying off to VCS land again.....Oscar has so much patiences but even he is getting anxious....I am thinking our dream of a Christmas together is fading fast......I said to Oscar I guess I will be filing single head of household again this year....but at least people around me are having success......I just hope they did not forget us.......Lora

P.S......You guys have been a lifesaver to me....thanks

He expects in January the 6 month processing goal at each service center will increase dramatically. He did not elaborate too much other than this will happen due to the volume of applications/petitions received by USCIS.

Um, I don't know if anyone caught that, but in my mind we need to start screaming at them/the media/someone NOW.

If January hits and, say, the petitioning time goes from 6 months to....8...10...12 months...

Us July and onward filers will not even be thought of until NEXT SUMMER at the earliest.

Time to organize a trip and go protest. This is bullshit, and they know it.
