    Flew back from Edinburgh, Scotland via Schiphol airport in Amsterdam (it was meant to be direct, thanks United!) yesterday with my wife and landed at ORD. The immigration officer told me that everyone with an extension letter needs to get sent to secondary because of process reasons 🤷‍♂️. I was in secondary for about 15-20 minutes, which seemed to be because of the volume of people there. An officer brought my documents out of a backroom and handed them to another officer who asked me to confirm my date of birth and then they sent me on my way. Not the smoothest experience but not my first rodeo in secondary either.

    02/01 - Got my extension letter in the mail.

    If it makes you feel better, USPS never marked my i751 package as picked up (only as delivered). 4 days after it was delivered, I got notified by text/email that they had taken action on my case. I also didn't have a USCIS account number, I assume they use your A-number to link it together.

    01/24 - Money order cashed 01/25 - Case changed to Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS. Biometrics reuse and 48 month extension uploaded online.

    01/23 - Case added to account, received a text and email (G-1145). Money order not cashed and no additional documents yet.

    01/17 - Shipped I-751 via USPS 01/21 - Delivered to Carol Stream, IL PO Box (not picked up yet)

    @Josh N This is what I did in my K1 interview at the London embassy back in 2022. My fiancée (now wife) wasn't working (she was a student) so had no income and I had significant liquid assets. An excerpt from my London embassy review: Never had any issues during the K1 visa process or during AoS (we used a joint sponsor and I again included my liquid assets for the I-864).
