  1. It was also labor day last Monday which will add to to the time. hoping you get it soon
  2. Has your case status updated to 'Sent to department of state'?
  3. @Dashinka out of interest, what sorts of things would need to be declared?
  4. Thanks for the response. We're too far away from 2nd wedding anniversary. I was one of the fortunate ones who managed to get approved with everything in 11 months. I had my visa before our 1st anniversary!
  5. I will soon be entering with a CR1 visa at MSP (Minneapolis /St Paul). I can't find any recent POE reviews. MSP is my destination so no layover to contend with luckily, and I'll be travelling with my husband. Do I need to bring anything special other than my passport with the visa in it (docs are digital it says.) I won't have any 'cash' to declare, and will have nothing other than personal belongings (and probably some chocolate!) in suitcases. Has anyone recently entered with an immigration visa and can please share their experience?
  6. Definitely apply now. For the service required, they do a priority processing I think? It's it their fees list if it's available.
  7. Had it been only a couple of months, maybe, but not with so long to go. Life is too short to waste another 11 months.
  8. Has your status update to sent to department of state? Also, double check your I-130 approval. It doesn't say you need to fill out an I-824 does it? Hopefully not but worth a check
  9. Congratulations. It's nice to see so many approvals coming through
  10. I read your previous posts. It seems you once had a K1 visa, you entered the US and then adjusted status. Unfortunately in this case you are not legally permitted to do so. As others have said, your only option is to file the I-824 this time. The mistake on the petition causing this is costly in both money and time. You cannot call USCIS about this not the consulate in Australia. The mistake now means this next costly step must be taken to progress.
  11. Hi, I had this issue. It times out on you. As a workaround I entered 2 addresses at a time, with the last one entered as having a 'from' date of my 16th birthday. Then you can save.
  12. I am confused, why would you have needed a US passport to travel? Could you not have travelled on your UK passport?
  13. When you have to submit something for an RFE you go to the back of the line. As of Monday 14th August NVC were reviewing documents submitted on 2nd August. When did you re-submit?
  14. They are referring to the welcome email you get from NVC.
  15. Hi, Thanks for this. I plan on getting my licence as soon as possible anyway but just wanted to check. The part I found about not needing SSN from October 1st was on a separate website. If it's not on the DMV website I'll disregard it for now. Thanks
  16. Hi All, Wondering if anyone can confirm as I'm unable to access the DMV site for MN from the UK at present (It tells me site is blocked.) From what I've managed to find, I believe I can drive on my UK licence for up to 60 days in MN? I have also found that from October 1st 2023, you don't necessarily need to have obtained your SSN to get the drivers licence, meaning I can apply for the permit straight away? Can anyone help confirm this please? Thanks in advance
