Wow, it means you sent your passport without the request. Did you send to the embassy's address by post/mail?  Perhaps, they forgot your case. I think it is a better way than a silent wait. Hope you are going to receive your passport this week. Please keep updating.

Yes I sent it by post to the immigrant visa unit, I will keep you updated here

    Hi,

You can read Niamh's posts on previous pages. I saw that Niamh got the interview on 2nd Dec and got the medical exam before a week. So have you emailed/called to the Embassy again? If is there anything wrong when the hospital sent the results to the Embassy?

So worried because of backlog of Mater Private hospital now.

I called Mater private twice and they said if there would be anything wrong with my results the hospital would have contacted me,  and results were sumbited to the embassy on 11th of December, we are going to email the embassy

A couple questions for anyone who has already gone over to the State through the Dublin Airport Immigration.
    1. How much extra time did you need before your flight to clear immigration?
    2. What kinds of questions did the immigration officer ask?
    3. Did you have to fill in any Customs Forms beyond the usual for the stuff you were bringing with you?

We have our Visa and are going in a couple weeks, just not sure what to expect! Thanks!

Congratulations on you visa:) do you mind if I ask you a question? My interview was also on 2nd of December, did you get your medical done before or after the interview? I did my medical after and waiting since then 😔

Sorry Martha86. Can I ask you more questions?

    - Did CO keep your passport after the interview? And did they give you a yellow packet that you cannot open it? You will give the yellow packet to the US officer at the point of entry when traveling to US.

    - When you booked an appointment for the medical exam, did you call to Mater hospital (Dublin branch) directly or did you request the appointment via its website?

    https://www.materprivate.ie/our-services/health-screenings/visa-medicals

    -  One person in this forum, he said that he didn't need an appointment interview letter for showing in Mater hospital when checking. Just call to the hospital and pick a date. He used the NVC case number DBLxxxxxxxxxx. And another one did as same as and booked the appointment successfully. Just ask your experience when you did?

Sorry for bothering you. I am so nervous now after waiting for a long time.

Hello, I called Mater private to make appointment and they asked invitation letter  when I attended it, officer could not keep my passport because of medical and gave me white 221g on pending medical results and silence since then

Hi Martha86I have just got a checklist from NVC and waiting for an approval. I will interview at the US Embassy in Dublin. So I would like to know how the backlogs of the Embassy and the Mater hospital. Can I ask you more questions?

    - When do you get DQ'd? --> How long did you get the appointment letter for an interview from the DQ'd date?

    - As you wrote above, it means you got the interview before the medical exam. ---> You are waiting for the visa because the embassy doesn't receive the result from hospital? Have you contacted to the Mater hospital for pushing?

Thank you for your sharing. I am in the same boat, I can understand your feeling :(

Of course :) here is my timeline: I got DQ in mid of October and NVC letter to schedule the interview etc on 10.11.2021, my interview was on 2nd of December and medical was on 9th of December, I contacted hospital they said my results were sumbited to the embassy on 11th of December. Still no word from the embassy and yes it is still refused because of that, I gues they are really busy and hopefully they will request my passport soon as they didn't keep it because I needed it for my medical, I will keep you updated here

Hoping someone has been through this in Ireland recently and can give some insight.

My husband is currently awaiting his spousal visa. He attended his interview November 2nd but due to backlog he only had his medical on November 15th.

The CO told him once they received his medical report then they would request his passport and issue the visa. I know it’s only been 2 days but we have a 3month old daughter he hasn’t even met yet and just want him here ASAP.

Has anyone been through this in Ireland 🇮🇪 lately and if you have, how long did it take after the medical to get your passport sent to the embassy and back again ?

    Thanks advance ☺️

    Hello any updates since?🙂
