  1. HI..

YOUR SPONSOR OR CO-SPONSOR NEEDS TO MEET THE 125% POVERTY GUIDELINE FOR 2010. HERES THE LINK http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf. THE MINIMUM INCOME WILL BE BASED ON THE SPONSORS HOUSE HOLD SIZE AND STATE THEY LIVE IN. TAKE THIS FOR EXAMPLE: SPONSOR LIVES IN CALIFORNIA, THE SPONSOR HAS A SPOUSE AND A CHILD ( SPONSOR + SPOUSE + CHILD = 3) MEANING THE HOUSE HOLD SIZE IS 3. SO ACCORDING TO THE POVERTY GUIDELINE THE SPONSOR NEEDS TO BE MAKING $22,887 TO PASS THE INCOME REQUIREMENT. IF SPONSOR LIVES IN HAWAII OR ALASKA, THE NUMBERS WILL BE DIFFERENT. REFER TO THE LINK :) GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING

  2. We had our interview and the visa was approved. During the pre-screening process, the screener noticed our date of marriage and changed our paperwork to say IR-1. I did not have to mention it at all.

I'll be sure and verify at the POE as well. I don't want to have to go through the hassle and expense of removing conditions if we don't need to.

congrats! finally the long wait is almost over. u and your wife will be together just in time for christmas! :) im so happy for the both of u! good luck with everything :)

  3. Hello everybody!

My husband sent I-130. He got sms with nomber started from EAC... Is it NOA1?

I can't understand... USCIS call it "case nomber".

Maybe somebody can explane me, please?? :)

Hi soba.. yes yes its called case number also known as Receipt number that is given to u when u receive your NOTICE OF ACTION (NOA1). your husband received a txt and/or email then wait about a few days and you'll receive a hardcopy via airmail. these are the numbers u will use to find out about your case when u call USCIS or u can even go online to get information. type in your case number and it'll give u info about it :)https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

  4. Well it does play its toll on life to have to wait through the process.. BUT good things come to those who wait, right?

Our process has been smooth, in between the times we were waiting for NOAs', an RFE, and things just waiting to get approved, we kept our sanity by pretty much skyping.. Now we are at the end just waiting for the Interview. All i can say is paperwork paperwork paperwork.. any questions let me know :)

hi jandk, i checked out your profile. your little man is so adorable. how long have u been away from them?? and yes you are right, good things comes to those you wait. .. one last stage for u guys to complete, good luck on the interview! keep me posted :)

  5. Hey guys,

I just filed this month of october and i've received my NOA1 dated oct.20th. although i'm a little familiar with the process i would like to hear from the couples that have gone through it. From their days with the NVC to the medical in SLEC, dealing with the US embassy in Manila and finally to the interview. What should I expect? any tips on getting through smoothly and what not? I just want to see or feel how it will be once my husband and I are in that final stage.. Thanks in advance. God Bless :)

  6. All I did was i called CSC. Customer Service Center (CSC) at 1-800-375-5283

Called CSC to request Expedite and they did approved our I-130 with in week.

here is my old links http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/253273-called-csc-to-request-expedite-and-they-did-approved-i-130/page__view__findpost__p__3891284

    =======================================

    Expedite Criteria at USCIS

All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and are granted at the discretion of the Director. The burden is on the applicant or petitioner to demonstrate that one or more of the expedite criteria have been met. The criteria are as follows:

Severe financial loss to company or individual

    Extreme emergent situation

    Humanitarian situation

Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States

Department of Defense or National Interest Situation (Note: Request must come from official United States Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government)

    USCIS error

    Compelling interest of USCIS

If you are filing your application or petition:

You must provide a written explanation as to why the application or petition needs to be expedited. You may include supporting evidence with the request. Write “EXPEDITE REQUEST” at the top of your letter. When you file your application or petition, place your expedite request letter on the top of your documents.

If you have already filed your application or petition:

You can contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283. The NCSC will take a “service request” and forward your expedite request to the office with jurisdiction over the application or petition. You also have the options of 1). visiting your local office by scheduling an InfoPass appointment or 2). writing a letter to the local office or service center.

WOW! you guys are so luck to have it approved within a WEEK! i looked at your old post and tried going to the "travel alert" link. unfortunately, page not found. i guess it might have worked into my advantage that the fax didnt go through. i had left out a document that i thought i didnt need, but i guess its always safe to send it just in case. thanks for your input. whats the "travel alert" about by the way..

  7. whenever i get a fax number that wont go through i call using my phone to see if i hear the fax tones, if you dont, then its not a fax number. just keep trying like they said if it is a fax number.

    Good Luck

also, ask if you can mail the documents just in case.

maxx121, i just tried that now and i heard the fax tone. at least its a valid #.. now i just need for it to work hehe

When i sent my expedite request in they gave me a specific officers name and number in the e-mail.

hi dweezy. yah, the email i received did have a specific officers name and that fax # to send it to.. i'll keep tryin, wish me luck haha

  8. hey guys, i'm just wondering if anyone applied for a service request to expedite while their case was with the USCIS. i did, and i received an email from the officer working on my case asking me to turn in the supporting documents to prove my case for expedite. he gave me a fax number to send it to. i've been trying to send it for a couple days and every time, my fax machine would say "NO ANSWER" or "LINE BUSY". i've called USCIS, confirmed the number and they said to just keep trying. maybe it's just a glitch on the fax machine. i asked if there's another number i can fax it to, but the officer told me that there's only one line designated to accept expedite cases. i'm gonna keep trying and if all else fails i'm going to call USCIS for the 2nd time.

Any suggestions or comments i'd gladly appreciate it :)

  9. Hi Jhilly,

If you have problem with your 2-days medical exam (specially about your x-ray) the St. lukes will advice you to have 3 days sputum test to check if you are positive of TB. If your 3 days sputum test will be negative u still need to wait for 8 weeks for sputum culture result. (",)

Thanks bhebe.. its so nerve racking with the whole medical exam. and with the negative sputum results it'll still take 8 weeks waaaaaaa thats a lot of days waiting! :(

  10. hey guys. im a little confuse with this whole sputum culture test .. from my knowledge it usually just takes 2 days for the medical exam at st. luke. when did the whole 3 day sputum test start? and what is the 2 month culture test about? please please if anyone can give me some information about this i'd gladly appreciate it :) thanks in advance

  13. Because she maybe had the intent to get married when she came to the US? And probably has a lot of things to organize at home before she can leave? ;)

No big secrets really. We were on top of everything from the start. The NOA2 arrived after just about 3 months and we had an expedite granted by the embassy right after NVC was done, so I got an interview appointment like 2 weeks later. It would have taken a month longer I think, without that.

HI MSD.. how were you able to request for expedite from the embassy? do u request for this while its still in the NVC stage or when the case arrives at the embassy? thanks in advance :)

Hi guys, i just filed a few weeks ago and received my NOA1 dated oct.20th. we're all in the same boat and playing the waiting game :) good luck to us! let's keep each other updated! hehe

  14. Is it just me or does anyone else feel there is something very strange about this person????? Why ask the same question over and over again.... And how is that she (??????) is here in the states..... I mean going by the broken english I think it is safe to assume she (??????) is not american.... I am very suspicious

i know a lot of filipinos that are US citizen. most of them are sent to the philippines until they finish school. they live and grow up there, hence the "broken english." Please dont "assume" someone is not an american citizen based on their proficiency in english.

  15. i tried and it did not make sense

    thats why im asking here

I wrote this out for me so i can understand it better...

GET THESE DOCUMENTS READY NOW WHILE YOU CASE IS BEING SENT TO NVC

    1. DS-3032 aka "Choice of Agent form",indicates who will make payments and be primary contact. Most people select the US based petitioner.

    2. Go to this site http://www.bcgen.com/linear-barcode-creator.html and use the instructions on http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/DS-3032_barcode_instructions.

    3. DS-230 completed part I & II and only signed part I by beneficiary (ORIGINAL). The DS-230 is the actual Immigrant Visa Application

    4. All documents that pertain to your petition are required, even if u have already submitted it to CIS with the applicant’s petition. if its in a different language make sure you translate it to english. and make sure u include "Translation is accurate, and Translator is competent to translate.

" signed and date by the translator. All photo copies needs to be CERTIFIED.

Marriage cert, police clearance of your beneficiary, Four (4) Passport size photos from beneficiary (2 photos to accompany the DS-230. 2 photos to accompany the medical )

Beneficiary’s passport biographic page (Photocopy) ONLY. not the actual passport, Beneficiary’s birth certificate, Military cert (if your spouse was in the military) and Death Cert or Divorce/Annulment Cert(of your spouse previous marriage)

    5. AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT

    - I-864 from you, the original petitioner

    - IRS Tax information - 1 year is required, up to 3 years may help. * Tax Transcripts, optional but may help. Call the IRS to get it FREE! 1 (800) 829-1040 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              1 (800) 829-1040      end_of_the_skype_highlighting

    - W-2s and/or 1099s, 1040 from most recent tax year, Pay stubs for current year (6 months should do), Employment letter showing your income and position. Make sure that position/title is consistent on all forms.

    - Co-Sponsor in same HouseHold: I-864A and all Tax information as above. Co-Sponser NOT in same HouseHold: I-864 and all Tax information as above. The petitioner must ALWAYS submit an I-864....even if there's zero income. Even something as simple as Painter on one form, and Painting on another, could trigger an RFE (Request for Evidence)

    - Assets may be used to supplement income (such as bank accounts, equity in a home, but when an automobile is used, the first car may not be used...only 2nd, 3rd, etc). Assets of Petitioner are calculated at 1/3rd value. If the Petitioner has $30,000.00 USD in a bank account, they will be given $10,000.00 USD credit toward income requirement. Assets of Beneficiary or Sponsor are calculated at 1/5th value. If the Beneficiary has $50,000.00 USD in a bank account, they will be given $10,000.00 USD credit toward income requirement. Assets may be used to entirely satisfy the income requirement, but you will still be required to submit the Petitioner's most recent tax return.

    NVC

    1. NVC should receive your package within a few days, but it could take longer. You won't know your package is there until you call NVC

Call NVC at 1 (603) 334-0700 and talk to an agent. the AVR is not reliable. If it's been longer than 2 weeks and you still don't have your NVC case number, start sending up flares. Call NVC and talk to a supervisor. Be prepared to send them a copy of your NOA2. Once your case number has been assigned call back and speak to an operator. Give them an e-mail address for you and for your spouse. From then on NVC will e-mail you any correspondence.

2 NVC will input your case in the system MANUALLY. When your case has been input, the DS-3032 and AOS (Affidavit of Support) fee bills will be generated. when the AOS fee bill is generated, your IIN (Invoice Identification Number) is created. it may be possible that your IIN is created when your NVC number is created...THIS is the time to begin the quest for the IIN, but when requesting, ask for Invoice ID Number, not "IIN". Call NVC and ask. The AGENT will be able to tell you if the DS-3032 has been generated.

3 when its generated, Email AND regular mail the DS-3032. if u email it, there MIGHT be a chance you get a confirmation email saying they've received it. sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't. heres the link to better help u. http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

    4. You will then receive an email that gives you directions to pay online when your AOS Fee Bill is generated. At this time, this email arrives in one business day (in some cases same day) AFTER you have given the NVC operator you and your spouse's e-mail addresses. (stated on item #1 on this section)

    5. Pay the AOS fee bill at https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx . use your NVC case# and IIN to sign it. after paying it wait 2-3 days until you see the "PAID" under status. When the status is PAID, Print the barcode and include it in your AOS package then you can submit your AOS Package.

    THE AOS PACKAGE:

    * BARCODED Cover Sheet (to be printed from web when your status is PAID online for AOS bill)

    * Your OWN cover sheet listing what documents are in the package, so they're easy for the reviewer to locate

    * Completed I-864 signed

    * Original Employment Letter

    * Most recent tax return (all forms)

    * Copy of PAY STUBS for current year (showing how much money you have made year to date)

    * Last 3 years Tax transcripts, W-2 and/or 1099 (any source of income) OPTIONAL

    * SPONSOR: I-864 + all above documents for sponsor. Each sponsor that lives in the same household as the petitioner, should use I-864a, instead of I-864

    * Make 2 extra copies of this package. Send 1 copy to the beneficiary. Make sure to write your case number in the upper right-hand corner of EVERY page including I-864.

    Send the package to:

    National Visa Center

    ATTN: CMR

    31 Rochester Ave. Suite 100

    Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

    6. You should keep checking the website https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx to find out when the IV Fee Bill is available online to be PAID. Once you have PAID the IV fee bill, in a couple of days it will post as PAID on the website. Print the bar-coded sheet from the IV fee bill website and include in your IV package and overnight it to NVC.If you are unable to pay your IV Fee Bill online, you will have to wait for the bill from NVC, and pay it via mail. (Do not pay the IV Fee Bill until you have received the bill, via email, from NVC. If you have not received an email within 1-2 days (after it displays as available to be paid), contact NVC to ensure the bill is ready to be paid.)

    7. Send your IV Package.

    * BARCODED Cover Sheet (to be printed from web when your status is PAID online for IV bill)

    * You OWN cover sheet listing what documents are in the package, so they're easy for the reviewer to locate

    * Completed DS-230 part I & II and ONLY part I signed by beneficiary.

    * Photocopy of the beneficiary's passport biographic data page.

    * Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate.

    * Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s and petitioner’s marriage certificate.

    * Original police certificates of the beneficiary.

    * Original/certified copy of military record, if applicable.

    * Original/certified copy of divorce decree, death certificate, etc. of previous marriage, if applicable. Make 2 extra copies of this package. Send 1 copy to the beneficiary

    Send the package to:

    National Visa Center

    ATTN: CMR

    31 Rochester Ave. Suite 100

    Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

NOW WE JUST PLAY THE WAITING GAME AGAIN.

    * NVC will contact you or call NVC

    * you Setup a medical exam with approved medical facility.

    * NVC will advise of interview date at embassy.

    * 1. NVC sets an appointment date for you and sends out your package to the US Embassy.

    * 2. Embassy receives the package.

    * 3. If your spouse hasn't had their medical, now is the time!

    * 4. Spouse interview. make sure he/she brings the 2nd copy of the IV and AOS package you made.

HOPE THIS HELPED U AS MUCH AS IT HELPED ME. GOOD LUCK! :)
