  1. @haxxx Thanks Haax. That's reassuring since our noa2 dates are very close.
  2. Hello fellow thread members. Some of you are in both april and may's threads and may have seen this already. Im curious, those of you that checked your visa status after receiving your case #, did you ever see this status? Does this status have any particular meaning?
  3. I dont think so. Other people have done so without any sort of penalty. You could also try the public inquiry form first and then they may tell you to contact nvcresearch.

  5. @OsmanMCFCHello, glad to have ya in the thread. Im sure one of these fine folks will be able to answer your question.
  6. Hello Robert. Just a though on this. Not sure how your fee payment is being made and if its through US system or overseas system but your credit card may be being denied by your creditor especially if it's an overseas transaction. They may think its a fraudulent transaction and are trying to protect you. When I travel overseas i have to let my banks/creditors know so that my credit/debit cards work.
  7. Congrats! You're in the home stretch. Your notice didn't contain any of that info? You may be able to submit a public inquiry with the NVC for that info. They have been responding to inquiries within a few days. Or perhaps trying to contact the embassy. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html
  8. Sorry to hear about your father In-law. I'll be praying for him. I'm not sure what else can be done. Maybe Sarah has some ideas
  9. Yes and maybe more. the DS-160 will need a digital photo. Other photo requirements im sure differ from country to country. For example, in the Philippines my fiance will need to bring 4 photos with her to st lukes for the medical exam. 3 are for the visa which they send to the embassy and one is for the medical report. here are the photo requirements https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/photos.html#nonimmigrant
  10. The DS-160 is an online form. Either one of you can fill it out. Id suggest working on it together and gathering all your documents first because it's not the easiest form to get done. I know because Ive already submitted my fiance's DS-160 along with her son's. The embassy will want a form DS-160 completed online for EACH applicant, including all children that will also be receiving a visa. If your fiancée will be bringing 4 children, then you will need to complete and submit a DS-160 for all 4 children, plus your fiancée. The DS-160 will require the ALIEN to upload a 2x2 passport size photo of the ALIEN with a white background. You must upload a picture or it will not allow you to submit. When you have completed the form and uploaded the picture you will click the SUBMIT BUTTON. Once you submit it, it will be sent directly to the US State Department and it will instantly provide you with a confirmation page. You MUST print the confirmation page (or choose the email option to print later) and take it to your embassy interview. They do not want you to bring the entire form, they only want you to bring the confirmation page. Special Note: If you spend too long on any page the system will think you are no longer there and it will time out and you will lose everything on that page and have to start over, so try to move quickly through it. 11. @Cheesehead22Hello. My fiance is in the Philippines too. I love the Philippines and the Filipino people. Its been taking about 90 days from Noa2 notice to get NVC case approved and sent to embassy in Manila. Once the embassy has it then your fiancé can pay the embassy fee, schedule medical exam, interview, and CFO class. She will also need to get cenomar, nbi clearance, other misc docs as well as annulment docs if she has ever been married before. Appointments for the medical and interview are available in abundance but the CFO class is scheduling a month out for the face to face sessions. CFO also provides an online seminar which has appointment available much sooner. I have a guide on the philippine K1 visa process but its to big to attach here. If you're interested i can email it to you.
  12. Perhaps you can try an inquiry through the NVC Research email address. nvcresearch@state.gov
