  1. Hi there, My partner and I are both in agreeance (and excited) to be married. However, I, the female (would-be beneficiary), want to be the one to propose to my male partner. Even though proposing is traditionally done by men, I really want to propose. I think it would mean a lot to my partner. Would this be something USCIS be concerned about -- especially since I would be the beneficiary? Would it seem weird or suspicious that I'm the one proposing because of these two factors? To be honest, I never cared if we moved to the US or Canada (I'm Canadian). But, we ultimately decided the US would be best because my job is remote, and it's easier for me to get jobs in my field in the US than it is for him to get jobs in his field in Canada. FYI - We have TONS of proof or our relationship. Thanks!
  2. Hi! Can civil lawsuits (ex. between people or an employee and employer where the employee [beneficiary] was sued and had to pay non-violence related damages) negatively impact the beneficiary's visa application? Would it be a test of moral turpitude? Could it cause the beneficiary not to get a visa? I assume the only civil issues that would impact an application would be restraining order / peace bond-related. Just curious about all other civil matters / lawsuits. Thanks!!
