I had my interview on Friday, 07/22/2022 and I passed. Arrived on time and was called in 5 minutes upon arrival. The officer was very friendly and nice. She started with the English reading and writing test, passed, and finally the civics test. I got the first 6 questions correct and then she moved on to the ‘have you ever’ questions. The 6 civics questions asked were:

    1) who is the father of our country

    2) name the war fought between the north and the south in the 1800s

    3) how many representatives are there in the house

    4) who is your representative now

    5) name one state that borders mexico

    6) why does the flag have 13 stripes

After the interview she handed me the approval paper and informed me to expect the oath ceremony paper in the mail. At the beginning of th interview she checked my application date and did make sure that I didn’t apply too early. Total interview time took about 15 minutes in total.

Case updated online to, oath ceremony will be scheduled.

    Applied: 2/17/2022

    Interview scheduled: 6/6/2022

    Interview: 7/22/2022.

    Based on 5 years residency.

How long did it take you guys for status to change after interview was done?

Passed the interview earlier this week (got the congratulations letter), but status online is still "Interview was scheduled". Is this normal?

    About 4 hours

Hello everyone, I had my oath ceremony done this week in Ohio and I am elated that this journey is finally complete. I was fortunate to be the part of a special ceremony with 5 federal judges and 6 members of the city council. They did not allow any family members inside, only translators were allowed, but the good thing is that they were live streaming the event for families to watch. The overall process took about 2 hours and they gave us naturalization certificates along with a goodie bag (free soccer game ticket, Wendy's coupon and tumbler etc.) after the ceremony. We completed and submitted our voter registration card during the ceremony. It was pretty easy and a fun process overall.

Hope everyone waiting for the next step will hear good news soon! Thanks!

Congratulations!!!!♡and thank you for your wishes!

  3. Hi everyone, just had my interview N400 and Pending I751 . Everything went easy and nice. Officer was really nice person and kept joking , i did not feel as this interview at all, like we were hang out with a friend. My husband attended to the interview with me. Officer said it shows a lot especially when it based on 3y marriage to US Citizen. He asked 6 Civil Questions and asked to write and read out loud 1 sentence. Asked about our marriage standard questions, when we met , how we met, what year we got married, how many kids together we have. Did not ask any documents we submitted. Only asked for my passport and GC. Since I have minor kid whose I751A also pending he said i give you letter of your N400 Aprovval but will hold on it until we figure out with your kid's pending petition of RC. He said it needs to be done before I become a US Citizen to not complicate case for my kid. Thank you ALL guys for your support and wishes. I will update my case as it goes. Wish you all have a luck with your interviews!!!!!

    Thank you!!!

For I751 she asked my spouse about my full name, my date of birth, where we got married and when. She asked me my spouse's full name, her birth date.

For N400 she reviewed the application with and updated whatever had to be updated, she asked for a lease since our IDs were from another state, she asked for any additional evidence we brought, she conducted the civil test which was easy (from the 100 questions then read and write)

I took joint taxes for 2021, joint car insurance for 2022, joint health insurance for 2022 and the last three months joint bank statements and gave her all of them.

    Good luck 👍

Thank you so much very helpful!!!!I am so happy for you guys!!!!Congratulations again!

Had my interview today. Detroit local office, applied in October 2021, had my I751 pending since October 2020. My spouse went with me and at the entrance they asked why my wife was there I told them because of the pending I751, so they let her in with me and they said the officer would decide If she was going to be interviewed. The officer called me and saw my spouse so she let her in and conducted I751 first then conducted N400 afterwards. She gave me letter saying recommended for approval and an hour later I was put in line for oath ceremony. So happy and thankful 🙏

Congratulations!!!!!please tell me more If you can, I will have my interview on Thursday,  this week. What did they ask about 751 petition?what documents did you bring for 751??I have same case as u if I can say it...pending I751 September 2020 and N 400 filed in October 2021. I was thinking take all I submitted for 751 and N400. Did you take any additional documents? Did officer asked you additional questions about form 400 or just Civic test questions.  THANKS A LOT !AND CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!!!!!!!🎉

Go to your interview, its not over till its over. Divorces take a while. He probably does not need to be there anyway. Never know, you may work it out. Just dont let his threat of Divorce keep you from your goal. The question on the Oath form asks if you've been Divorced since your interview, Your answer will probably be No as divorces dont happen that fast.

    Thank you so much❤️

    Also,

A weird question - on USCIS website the Estimated time until case decision changed from 6 months to 12 months. On the other hand my interview was just scheduled to next month (meaning Auth ceremony will probably be in August/September).

Is there any meaning/reason why the estimated time was changed?

Hii!!! Thanks. Aside from that no, except she mentioned since I filed through 3 year marriage if i had any bank statements, anything with me to prove we were still married. I only had our joint 2021 tax return and it seemed that was enough.

Thanks!!really helpful, since I only have also joint taxes))also 3 years marriage
