Call NVC in about 3 weeks for your case number. The next shipment of cases from NVC to embassy is November 23 and November 24. (They ship cases every 2 weeks)  Assuming that USCIS follows the same schedule, your case should be sent to NVC the 23rd or 24th. Just give it a couple weeks before you call NVC for the case number.

Ok. That's good to know and estimate my timeline.

    I appreciate your help.

    Thank you!

Congratulation @Seydanur. Fantastic news. Feb 1 NOA here and still waiting. How are you able to submit two inquires? I submitted my inquiry beginning of Oct but system did not allow me to submit another one yesterday.  I was told I need to wait 30 days after their first response.

I am feb 1st filer and waiting noa2. My fiance sent an inquiry last month and we got regular response. After 30days from the inquiry, me and my fiance tried to send an inquiry again but the system didn't allow us to send it because we already received their response.

We were so frustrated and decided to call them. My fiance reached rep successfully and told our case was outside of processing time. She said "yes, it's been over 45 days. I can submit an inquiry on behalf of you".

I don't know what 45 days means here but she submitted new inquiry for us from her end. She told him that he would receive response.

We have to wait again.... Let's see how it goes. I hope this time they would do something for us and notify us noa2.

  3. I just cannot understand the different order of WAC number and the date of received NOA1. Why do people who received NOA1 later than me have earlier number of WAC? I am feb 1st filer and have not received noa2 yet and waiting patiently but it's becoming frustrating now and confusing me a lot. As long as I check the spreadsheet, it seems like nvc is processing earlier number of WAC. At this point, the received date doesn't matter? Do they assign WAC number randomly regardless of the received date of noa1? so the people who got earlier wac number are just lucky?

No problem! It's frustrating for sure.

Looks like they are about 50% of the way through Feb 1 NOA1s so hopefully you'll hear very, very soon! Canada is a low-risk country so I doubt that's slowed you down. It's probably just (bad) luck of the draw. Check the case tracker app or the spreadsheet for cases around you. I've noticed patterns in processing for sure.

    Yes it's very frustrating😅

Thanks! I will keep eye on the sheet. I believe my case is easy one but they judge it, not me so at this point, I just need to calm down and just be patient like others....

Welcome! There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that we don't know about. What we do know is that there are many people who work on cases and some cases are easier than others to approve (have all info, from a low risk country, are not 300 pages long etc) so if an agent gets several "easy" in a row they will be running ahead.

Also, according to one person who works on cases, they can set them aside to come back to later. So let's say someone gets a case they know is going to take a lot of time and they have a headache or just had a difficult case and just "don't wanna," they can set it to the side and move on to a different case. Additionally, some countries have higher rates of fraud so they do take more time on the evidence for those.

There's also the suspicion that they take a few cases from a couple of months ahead to process so they can say they're staying within an acceptable timeline (for example, a bunch of Feb 25 cases were approved 2 months ago). Unfortunately there's nothing to do but wait.

If you are Feb 1 you are now outside of processing times (currently Feb 7) and can submit an inquiry.

Thank you for your response and welcoming.

I see..... My fiance submitted an inquiry yesterday so we'll see how it goes and hope we can get noa2 soon.

    Thank you for your input.

  6. Hello. I am new here. I am feb filer. My received date was feb 1st and we received the notification on March 15 but on the noa1, received date was feb 1st.

I saw the timeline spreadsheet and it's really helpful to find out where our case is at. But I am still confused of the randomness about the noa2. How come is noa2 delivered to people randomly regardless of  the date of noa1.

People who filed after me already got approval and I have not yet. Does anyone here know what order they are following? is it case number or date of noa1? Does country beneficiary is from matter?

    Thank you in advance!
