My sister-in-law had recently opted out of a labor contract where she was working in an electronics assembly job so that she could return to nursing school. She got the job through a privately owned employment agency who contracts with local businesses for labor. The employee has a deduction from their salary which is paid to the employment agency for obtaining the job. IMO, there is probably some type of graft (kickbacks) going on between the employment agency and the HR or whomever hires at the company. At the end of the contract, the employee is replaced and the cycle starts again. My wife says this is the only way to get a job there (Laguna area). I doubt the job agency or the company would sue over a lower salary job.

I would try and see how long you would be at sea in either district. I've also heard there are some coast guard units in the middle east (were these redeployed from districts in the states?). Americans are too brain-washed to vote for anyone who isn't an ### or pacaderm. Unfortunately most of those asses and pacaderms are also crooks and/or idiots. Whenever I mention voting for someone else, I always get the 'wasted vote' comment. What is up with Florida, anyway? Are the old people completely senile? Have they infiltrated the government? They can't punch a ballot card and they apparently can't follow simple rules. Then, once they've broken the rules, they whine about it. Chopf##k morons.

Florida is just on the leading edge of changes in elections; in the next primary cycle you'll probably see a significant change in the democratic primary schedule so that some voters aren't left out of the process because their state's primary was scheduled well after the candidate was already decided. I think several people have already pointed out how the democratic leadership have been no more than puppets for republican shenanigans. The republicans must be laughing their ### off.

Im applying for k1 visa and doing it all the 'right way' even though its sooo long and painful. But Iknow of 2 ppl (USC and British) that are getting married this summer and have had no plans in getting or even applying for k1 visa.

Shes coming over on a J1 visa to work and they plan to marry beforehand and then apply for AOS. The wedding isnt done low key- its not secret, theyre having a big wedding and then shes planning to stay in USA.

My question is I was just wondering what the deal was with that. Can they really get away with this because if so that would be really annoying to those of us who are applying for this painstaking prossess! They tell me that they have lawyers ect, but would a good lawyer really tell them that its ok and every1 can have a lawyer, it doesnt mean us immigration are going to change does it?

Well just wondering other peoples personal opinions on it and whether or not she can stay or get sent home and have to apply for K3 visa

There are at least 12 million people who are in the US illegally and most politicians/officials have not intention of deporting them unless they commit a serious crime. She is just one more. During the next president's first term, she'll receive a pardon and some type of permanent residency. I just hope my family is here and their AOS is completed by the end of the next president's term.

I've never been called that before either online or in person. I sort of doubt you would make that comment directly to me in person; you just seem like the type person who only enjoys confrontation from a distance (I'm not insinuating you are a coward). Do websites like friendster have anything to do with masculinity? If you somehow came up with that association, you really do have issues going on with your masculinity. I'm not sure if you've checked sales in your area but each county in Florida has that info available on the property appraiser's site. At least you can see if anyone else is selling, the selling price and trends. The square footage, extra features (pool, etc.) are also availabe to make the comparisons to your property. I usually keep track of sales in my area (just north of Orlando) and it is extremely slow here also. I think in my neighborhood, properties are selling for around 30k-40k less than they were in fall 2005.

How many rich people inherited their wealth and have below average IQs? We have plenty of rich politicians who don't appear to be the brightest but they do have the most important factor, motivation. If a person lacks motivation, I doubt they will be successful doing anything except catching all the afternoon garbage tv.

Quite a few years ago I worked in a job involving construction and had the privledge to meet some of the temp laborers. Some were ok but most probably did good to get themselves dressed. Some people will never be sucessful because they simply don't have the intellect. Before I met them I didn't have any empathy for the poor. Afterwards, I could see why we need special programs to give them an option to stay off the streets. However, not all of them would choose to live with the overhead that comes gov't programs.

If you have stepchildren involved, I don't see how they can cancel the K-3/I-129f. It seems like they are approving some I-130s/K-1s already. The K-3 looks like it is about 1 month behind the K-1 according to the timelines posted on VJ. I had touches on 3/25 and 3/26 but nothing since. Hello, I have a friendster account that was setup when one of my stepchildren added me as a friend (I received an email from Friendster and when I checked to see what it was, I added my account). My wife says guys don't setup friendster accounts and if they do it is only to talk to other women. I've never used it for that and never would. I have viewed my stepchild's friends and my wife's sisters photo album. One of her sisters has lots of pictures of family and friends which was interesting to see. My wife also said she didn't want some of longtime friends to find out about our marriage because it could complicate things with her ex-husband even though we will need his written permission when the children leave the phils. According to how this is filled out, you put one (1) or whatever number is applicable depending on if you have stepchildren involved for who you are sponsoring and one (1) for yourself. It also says near the top of the section not to count anyone more than once, so if you are only sponsoring your wife, the total would be two.
