  1. OMG!! WTH with all those sickos with guns... we can't go shopping, go to movies, we can't send our children to school without being worried be gunned down, senseless, gosh. i'm so very sorry for the families of the the children and adults that were killed. just a few days before Christmas sad.gif God has mercy on all us believers or not. Who in the earth can kill children! oh my... sad.gif

  2. Tomorrow is Election day in Venezuela. We will be voting to elect the next President. I'm a proud U.S citizen as well as Venezuelan. So, I'll have the opportunity of exercising my right to vote tomorrow and again in a month. This election has something different than others in the past. This is probably the first time that the opposition in Venezuela has a Real chance to beat Hugo Chavez who has been the president for almost 14 years.

I'm not going to lie; I do not trust the Electoral organism there because I believe as many others venezuelans that it's totally controlled by Hugo Chavez. However, it's what we have and it's too late to change it now. I'm hopeful that the opposition candidate Henrique Capriles will be elected, but at the same time I'm very skeptical because in Venezuela with Hugo Chavez controlling the powers, anything is possible. So, we'll see tomorrow night, perhaps much later at the earlier hours on Monday.

The system in Venezuela does not allow to the Media or a particular to release poll or results (I honestly think that we hear the results first in the U.S. than the people in Venezuela). Unfortunately, we'll have to wait for the Electoral organism to give the results that can be anytime from 4 hours after the voting concludes to even the next day. I think if the preliminaries results are not favorable to Chavez, it's going to be even longer to get the official results. I believe the time has arrive in Venezuela for a real change and hopefully Chavez will not be elected for 6 more years, 14 years have been more than enough. He has to go has he never should have been elected on the first place. As I said before I'm hopeful but still skeptical. Let's see what will happen tomorrow. Finally, I don't need to say that I'm voting for the opposition candidate. 14 years is more than enough time for any President, Chavez has to go. Fingers crossed good.gif

  3. I mailed both the signed photos and the green card in this morning, via UPS. Do you think this means it is approved or what? Anyone heard of this before? Thanks!

    Hi WMoore,

It sure sounds to me that you child was approved. I've heard this before. some are asked to email the gren card and some others (like in my child's case) are asked to bring to the green card and pick up the certificate in person. Kids under 14 y/o do not require to take the oath. Do not what criteria they use to determine who has to go to pick up the Certificate in person or who receives it via mail. Only i can tell you that i live under 1 mile from the Immigration building so it may be the reason why i was required to pick up the certificate in person, I really don't know. Anyway, I'm very certain it was approved. you should heard from them the next days. Keep an eye in the mail box. Congrats.

  4. To mari&Ryan,

Did you get the notice of pick-up through email or through mail? Was that from the local office?

I have one more question. did your NOA came through mail or through email?

I filed the N-600 along with G-1145 around less than three months ago, and the only thing that I got was the email with a receipt number staring with NBC.

    Thank you so much.

    Hi Rockfaith!

Sorry i hadn't seen your question before. I haven't been around lately. To answer your questions:

    - I got the letter to pick-up the Certificate through the mail only. It was from my local office (Chicago) on a plain paper.

    - As for the NOA I got email/text notification and received the actual notice in the mail a few days later.

I think you should have received the NOA receipt by now. Usually it takes 7-10 days after they receive the packet. You should give them a call.

    Hope it helps,

    Good luck!

  5. Grand jury: No indictment against father who killed daughter's alleged abuser

By Nick Valencia, CNNupdated 5:32 PM EDT, Tue June 19, 2012

(CNN) -- A Lavaca County, Texas, grand jury did not return an indictment against a father who killed a man he found allegedly sexually abusing his daughter, officials said Tuesday at a press conference in Hallettsville, Texas.

"The substantial amount of evidence showed that the witness statements and the father's statement and what the father had observed was in fact what had happened that day," Lavaca County District Attorney Heather McMinn told reporters.

The father, who will not be charged, is not being named by CNN to protect the identity of his daughter.

The father called 911, and he and his family tried to "save the life" of alleged attacker Jesus Mora Flores "despite what they had just witnessed," McMinn added.

Authorities said Flores, 47, was an acquaintance of the family, known for his horse-grooming abilities.

According to the Lavaca County Sheriff's Office, the father and his family were enjoying a barbecue last Saturday at their ranch where they keep horses and chickens.

His 5-year-old daughter had gone off toward the barn, to feed the chickens, the child's grandfather told CNN affiliates KSAT and KPRC.

Then her father heard screaming and ran. He found a man sexually abusing his daughter, according to Sheriff Micah Harmon.

The father stopped the alleged abuser, and then pounded him repeatedly in the head, killing him, authorities said.

On the recorded 911 call, the father can be heard crying, and telling the operator, "I need an ambulance. This guy was raping my daughter and I beat him up. And I don't know ... I don't know what to do."

Later in the call, when the operator tells the caller, "I'm working on it if you can hold on," the emotional father says, "The guy's dying on me!"

Neither officials nor the family's attorney, V'Anne Huser, took questions from reporters but Huser said in light of the grand jury's decision, "in our opinion, today, the story is over."

The incident occurred outside the town of Shiner, a community between Houston and San Antonio that has about 2,000 people within its city limits and another 1,500 or so on its outskirts, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

  6. Dad Won't Face Charges in Alleged Attacker's Death

By PAUL J. WEBER and RAMIT PLUSHNICK-MASTI Associated Press

SHINER, Texas June 19, 2012 (AP)

A young Texas father who beat to death with his fists a man molesting his 5-year-old daughter will not be charged, authorities said Tuesday, as they released a dramatic 911 tape of the dad frantically pleading to send help before the man died.

A Lavaca County grand jury on Tuesday declined to indict the 23-year-old father in the death of Jesus Mora Flores, 47, who was killed June 9 on a family ranch so remote that the father is heard profanely screaming at a dispatcher who couldn't locate the property.

"Come on! This guy is going to die on me!" the father yells in the 911 tape. "I don't know what to do."

Becoming increasingly frazzled, the father at one point tells the dispatcher he's going to put the man in his truck and drive him to a hospital before sheriff's deputies finally arrive.

The Associated Press is not identifying the father in order to protect the daughter's identity. The AP does not identify victims of sexual assault.

V'Anne Huser, the father's attorney, sternly told reporters several times during a news conference at the Lavaca County courthouse that neither the father nor the family will ever give interviews.

"He's a peaceable soul," Huser said. "He had no intention to kill anybody that day."

The attack happened on the family's ranch off a quiet, two-lane county road between the farming towns of Shiner and Yoakum. Authorities say a witness saw Flores "forcibly carrying" the girl into a secluded area and then scrambled to find the father. Running toward his daughter's screams, investigators said, the father pulled Flores off his child and "inflicted several blows to the man's head and neck area."

Emergency crews found Flores' pants and underwear pulled down on his lifeless body by the time they responded to the 911 call. The girl was taken to a hospital and examined, and authorities say forensic evidence and witness accounts corroborated the father's story that his daughter was being sexually molested.

  7. So do all N600s now get a receipt number that starts with NBC? Do they all get sent first to the national benefits center? Are all n600 applications untrackable online?

    Hi,

Well I do not know if all receipt # start with NBC I would say that they do just because they are first received at National Benefits Center to be distributed to their correspondent local offices. I do not have any more other reference than my own process and other few cases that have been posted here in the past. I do not know if they were able to get online updates at some point of their process. I was not able to get updates nor did i call them to get info. I just waited to hear from them and I guess I was lucky enough to have had a very smooth and fast process. So, it was never a problem to me unlike other previous application that I went through. Again, I'm giving my response considering what the USCIS site stated regarding to this application and also looking at the Emails/notification/letters that I got from them along our whole N-600 process. Not many people in VJ seem to apply for N-600 or they just don't post they experiences in here so it's very difficult to be able to track other cases to have an idea how it works.

  8. Hi,

All N-600 applications are filed at Arizona lockbox first (I just checked USCIS site). It's my understanding that once there it's then routed to NBC for processing (wording on the first confirmation email). So NBC distribute them to their correspondent local offices to continue processing it (call an applicant to attend an interview, take the oath, or as in our case go to our local office to pick up the certificate on behalf of my child as well as give them her green card.) My NOA has NBC too as the place from it was sent to me. However, I always thought it would be processed in my field office, nobody told me that I just assumed it just for a logical reason. I filed from the US so I have a US address which has a field office where many cases are processed. Don't know how and where it's processed when you file from overseas whether you have an US address on your application. My case number start with NBCxxxxxxxx but like I said I went ahead and checked the processing times for my local office assuming it was being processed here not at NBC. It turned out I was correct. Is it possible that process for N-600K application is different than for N-600? perhaps but I don't know.

  9. You can find the processing times of your field office for N-600 here (scroll down to the bottom of the page): https://egov.uscis.g...sDisplayInit.do

Our field office is Chicago, it says that processing time is 5 months for our field office to process N-600 applications. Our case took almost 4 months to be completed which was the same time that took my N400 btw. It's important keep in mind that each case is unique and different from others as well as it depends on the field office that is processing it.

    Good luck everyone.

  10. Sharing my case which is similar, although with a N-600K (living abroad). I filed N-600K applications for my 2 children, and received a NOA acknowledging payment received ($600 per child) on April 3, 2012. Called 30 days later in May for status update and a Tier 2 person said that because of some child protection policy, they will not be posting ANY information online on the USCIS status check website, AND they will not be providing me any status information either!! Has anyone heard of anything like this (ahhh, I'm their father?!!) and does anyone have any suggestions on what to do??

Interesting, I didn't know that. I never called to get updates of our case, I just waited to hear from then at some point. Mmm, so it's the reason why they wouldn't provide acces online to get updates. Thanks for sharing the info. I find so weird that they wouldn't give you any info, update of the case being you the father of the minor applicant. I don't know what else you might do to get info of your child case, hopefully some else will give you a better input.

    Good luck!

  11. Hi, VMoore,

Glad to hear that you got your NOA today. Now, like I said in our case I was unable to get updates, system kept showing the message that the case can't be found. I kept trying once a week the first month. Then I just waited to hear from them at some point. I did get a letter to pick up the Certificate about three months later of receiving the NOA. I believe it's "normal" being unable to access their system to get updates for all kind of cases not only for the N-600. You can always call them to get info of your case if your case isn't showing up online after certain period of time.

    .

  12. I'm sorry, I thought of another question. When the paper confirmation arrives by mail is it in your name or your child's name on the address? Thanks.

    Hey there!

I PM you the answer to your first question, I hadn't seen this one before I PM you though. The NOA and the letter to pick up the Certificate of Citizenship came both in my daughter's name on the address. My name was in none of the notices. Your child is the applicant, so everything will come adressed to him/her.

  13. Hi,

You have to wait until after you receive your NOA receipt to check your Status online. However, I have to tell you that I couldn't get updates of our N-600 case. The system kept saying "error" "case not found" etc. I honestly, didn't do anything to fixed it because I know that happens to many people, where they couldn't get access for online updates. Anyway, just wait for your NOA to see if your case shows up online but don't worry if it can't be found. It's not a big deal.

  14. In all seriousness, what would you do if you were in his position? Imagine you walk in on a 47 year old man molesting a 4 year old girl; it doesn't even have to be your daughter, it could be any child. In all honesty, what would you do?

Look, don't wait for answer. I've been reading the response given for some "individuals" here and I came to the conclusion that they only care for the humans rights of this ####### pedophile instead the rights of this poor little girl.. So that speaks volumes about them. What would they do? according to their reply, just maybe nothing but take a seat and keep watching the perverts acts . Humans rights for scum bags that rape, sodomized children? Nothing, nada. zero! You got be kidding me. I would like their children, grand children could read their responses. Shame on them!

  15. ...I once tackled a burglar in the street and had him pinned to the ground waiting for the Police. A neighbor took the opportunity to repeatedly slap the burglar around the face with a rolled up magazine. If an English person can behave in that manner, then expecting better from a person who is the product of Texan culture would be optimistic indeed.

A burglar? where are NOT talking about someone that robbed a couple chickens to eat, nor a guy that burglarized a home to get money to buy crack! No! we're talking of a SOB that you caught raping, sodomizing your own child! So what we should do? should grab the ####### for the ears, telling him to put his ####### back into his pants while we wait for the police to arrive? HELL NO!!!

  16. Hi WMoore3,

You're fine. I too put my name and my email (not my daughter's) on the form G-1145 and I got a text/email days later with not problem. Don't worry if you haven't gotten an email/text yet. I'm sure you will get them in a couple of days or so, considering the weekend. I remember USPS delivered it on Feb. 6 and I got the text/email from USCIS on Feb 10. and it all was done during week days. You're just OK.

Good luck in your child process!

  17. Thanks for posting. Pretty fast process. I thought it takes longer for the N600 process.

My pleasure. Well I thought that too but probably in our case the fact that I applied right away after I received my CON so my file was still around. Also the processing time in our local office. Honestly, i don't know but hey I'm not complaining smile.gif

After I received the NOA I didn't hear from USCIS for about 3 months. Then in May 5th 2012, I received this letter:

    post-39894-0-15731300-1338836744_thumb.png

On May 30, I then went to USCIS in behalf of my daughter to pick up her Certificate. Just had to sing some paperwork and review carefully the certificate to make sure everything was correct stated. The whole process for the Certificate was smooth and fast (about 4 months), at least here in Chicago.

Note: On the day of my oath I was told that applicants for N-600 14 years old and older Must appear in person to attend a short interview and take the oath before receiving their Certificates.

Hoping this info might help a little.

  19. What are you trying to say? I hope you are not making a disparaging remark toward me.

Nope. Relax.... I'm referring to the bias MSM... LOL!!

You know this obsession that MSM have for George's life details uhmmmm! it's suspicious, don't you think? I'm starting to believe that there might be some kind of sexual attraction behind all this interest from the MSM, Don't you think? it's called obsessive compulsive disorder laughing.gif I'm waiting for George's sexual experiences to be release soon... hehehe.

Have a good night and sleep well sweetie cool.gif
