    Sorry, I don't buy the idea that he has not been able to depart Indonesia due to the "lockdown."  As for the rest of your claims, the thread speaks for itself.

    And name-calling is against the TOS.

    Again, you are still assuming things. What i said was that you were trolling (based on your comments) and I did not call you a troll. I suggest that you do some soul searching to find out if you are here to help people or for some other reasons. Nighty!

    Because:

    1) He has a demonstrated history of overstay in another country.

    2) You have said he has no intention of returning to Morocco.

    3) You seem to be laboring under the delusion that a 10 year B visa = a 10 year stay.

    You are not making in sense and are trying to defend how of a troll you were.

    1) He has a demonstrated history of overstay in another country. (If you read the thread you will see that he didn't demonstrate any history of staying anywhere on his own. I specifically mentioned that when he landed in Indonesia everything did shut down because of the coronavirus and that his passport expired while being on a lockdown; I also mentioned that he did receive a receipt of submitting his ID and Passport to the consulate of Morocco there and since then he's still waiting) You just want to assume that willingly wanted to stay in Indonesia which is FALSE. You diverted the question by making an assumption about people. That's called trolling

    2) Yes I did say that he has no intentions to going back to Morocco (If you read you will also see that I said that because of the way he was treated) That doesn't mean he wants to stay in Indonesia or come to the U.S either. You are still assuming stuff just like I now would about you having a problem with people from Morocco. I know nothing about you except you baseless accusations.

    3) I never said that a 10 year B-1B-2 Visa is a 10 year stay. You are still assuming things again and making false accusations.

    I suggest that you give this some and see where it's headed before you continue with "I assume" "I think" etc. YES, please do report this thread to the Moderators and I hope that some of them will jump in here and write back!

    Cheers Mate!

    "We"?

    Your brother does not live in the US.

    You are clearly planning something fraudulent.  I am reporting this thread

    It's amazing how you asked and concluded on your own that something is not right and or something "fraudulent" is happening- There is nothing going on here except in your head. I simply asked of what can be done to speed up the process of renewing an ID and Passport that "WE" have been waiting for more than two years. I will apply for the DS-160 for my brother online on his behalf (YES I can do that through the state website) and I can also pay for his fees and he only needs to go for his interview. My brother have NO intentions to immigrate on a tourist visa nor does he have any desire to stay put at the moment. Please ask questions before you jump to conclusions. Are you mad about something else?

    You are aware a 10 year visa does not mean he can stay in the US continuously for 10 years, right?

    He is only allowed to stay for a maximum time of 6 months and then he has to leave.

    When your brother goes to his B1/B2 interview he will either get denied before any questions take place OR they will ask him about his ties to Indonesia or Morocco.

    Right now, it sounds like your brother plans on overstaying if he ever gets to USA.

    We are aware of the 6 months stay, Thank you! Also, he have no intentions on overstaying etc. He travels a lot so it will be great to hang out and travel. Canada is 2 hours drive from here :)

    What is your brother's plan once he arrives in the US?

    Why is it so important for him to go to America and not return to Morocco?

    What has he been doing in Indonesia since 2020? Where will he go after his visit to the US?

    What is your brother's plan once he arrives in the US?  (We are planning to travel a lot!)

    Why is it so important for him to go to America and not return to Morocco? (We live in the U.S and we have no ties to Morocco except his passport and ID)

    What has he been doing in Indonesia since 2020? Where will he go after his visit to the US? (He is surfing and freelancing) - His Visa will be for 10 years

    Even Moroc offered a way to get moroccans back home in early months of covid

    and this person needed to renew the passport and ID before they expired

    In 2020 Moroc shut down goverment offices and travel from city to city

    the borders just opened up

    For renewal of National ID outside Moroc

    He either takes the one way trip back as the instructions say to renew both of these of the following to renew his National ID

    u have the answers / tell him

     he is an adult

    Application for renewal of Moroccan National Identity Card

    Renewal of Identity card:

    Required documents:
    1. Copy of the Registration Card ;
    2. Original of expired National Identity Card ;go
    3. Copy of certificate of Evidence of residence status ;
    4. Copy of official document indicating residential address ;
    5. Four (4) photographs ( 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm ) ( See document about the size );
    6. Birth certificate (in Arabic and in French) issued within the last six months or copy of the family book;

    OR  go the easy way and let him get deported

    My brother have no intentions to going back to Morocco for this exact same reason and how he is being treated. Thanks for the comment

    It is clear you don't understand this process.

    There is no "getting" him here with a B visa.  You have no part in someone's application for that.  He applies and his application is adjudicated based on his risk of overstay, which is high based on his lack of ties to home.  Anyone with $160 can apply, but simply renewing his Moroccan passport is not going to get him a US visa.

    We are planning on filing the appropriate form and I do get that he has to do that on his side (I can also access the site and fill in some info as well) - Getting him in with a visitor Visa is not going to be an issue (I do get the issue with ties to his country and all that stuff, we aren't worried about that) - The reason I keep saying that is that my little brother have travel everywhere around the globe and never had any issues overstaying or getting in any kind of trouble except when he couldn't leave Bali because of COVID. Hope this make sense to you now..

    its hard to do, very bureaucratic, i dont even think he can because he need to have sponsor for that.

    even for foreigner who wants to live in indonesia and married with indonesian, its a long and winding road  and very expensive, have to use agent and some regulation its not even clear ( every city sometimes added different rule)

    best bet perhaps keep pushing the embassy in jakarta

    Thank you for the comment! my brother have to pay a penalty of $175 a month to the immigration for overstaying; it's terrible!

    Don’t know Morocco, but I do know the CO’s in Indonesia.  This isn’t going to happen.

    Yeah.  You can try but from the US embassy in Indo or Bali consulate?  Not a prayer.  Just being realistic dude.

    Take a trip.  Bali’s a fantastic place to visit 👍

    Hi Thanks for the comment. My pays a penalty of $175 a month to the immigration for overstaying in Indo. He does have a receipt of when he submitted his paperwork and a conversation with immigration as well.

    Is he in Indonesia legally with no updated passport or ID?

    He is there legally but his Moroccan passport and ID expired two years ago and is waiting for their renewal but nothing. Any ideas? Thank you for writing

    one way travel back to Morocco

    He can't travel with an expired ID and passport (That the point of this thread; he can't go anywhere)

  11. Just now, JeanneAdil said:

    sorry,  but he is still a Moroccan with no strong ties to his home country

    so,  chances of a tourist visa are slim to none

    I am pretty certain I can get him here in no time with a B-1/B-2 tourist Visa but the issue rely on the Moroccan gov releasing his ID and Passport (that we do not know how to solve)! Thank you again!

    they can not help if the instructions are not followed

    he needs to pay the fee,  submit the expired passport and new application along with the fingerprints

    and residency requirements

    and then the new passport will be given

    we renewed Adil's from the US

    it took just about 5 weeks

    they do send back the expired passport too so all entry stamps u can keep track of

    Thank you for the help; my brother followed all the instructions and did what you just said, NOTHING. Adil will sure tell you how things work in Morocco; things take forever to get moving. I love the country and the majority of people are wonderful and good at heart but the officials are not up there where you want them to be. Some corruption here and there and everyone is looking for a compensation, we are not going to do that. Tell Adil I said Hi!!

    even if u petition for a sibling residency,  its gonna be another 15 to 20 years for the interview (if approved)

    since he has been living in India,  there will be a long AP after the interview for the extra security checks

    so, if u want to hug him,  go there

    We are hoping to do a B-1/B-2 Visa and it's Indonesia not India. Thank you for the comment!

    Whether you fill out the DS160 or he does, he needs updated documents first, so I would focus on that.  You said he already submitted everything to get a new passport, did he send this to the consulate in India or Indonesia?

    He submitted all the documents to the consulate of Morocco in Indonesia and have a confirmation letter but after two years still nothing.
