Hi,
Our case has been "ready" at the embassy in Amman-Jordan for more than a month. I got in touch with other K1 applicants, and some have been waiting for 3 months. The embassy hasn't contacted anybody and doesn't respond to emails.
On the website it says we can schedule our own interviews but there are no dates available.
Is there anything we can do other than just waiting indefinitely?

Hi,
I created a profile on TravelDocs when I was trying to apply for a tourist visa a while ago, paid the fees and entered the receipt number but never actually went through with the application.
Now I have a K1 case "ready" and I want to pay the fees. The passport number on the profile is old and I want to update it but I got an email from traveldocs saying:
If you have already associated a receipt to your profile it is not possible to make this change, as per the warnings provided throughout the scheduling process. Please continue with the process that you have chosen and you will receive further directions by the U.S. Embassy regarding the acceptability of your application.
What is the solution in this case? I couldn't "continue with the process" because there were no tourist visa appointments at all.
Is it possible to create a new TravelDocs profile?

Best to post on regional specific forums or others using the Amman embassy.

Good luck!
Thank you!
Specific forums in Jordan are mostly about marriage visas. K1 visas is very rarely mentioned.
Would it be a good idea to fill out the DS160 form and pay the fees while waiting for the embassy email?

Hi,
My case is "ready" at the embassy. What is the next step? Do I schedule an appointment by myself or wait for the embassy to send me an email?
Are there any steps to do while waiting?

I only use my first and last name. I don’t count my father’s name as middle name.

If stating you are self-employed and work from home, then just list your current home/mailing address.
Thank you

You list your current address, mailing address and every address you have lived in for the past 5 years. It asks this for the petitioner and beneficiary.
Thanks but I meant the address for the online work.

Just indicate you were self employed during the 7 year period. It is truly an insignificant detail
I have one more question if that's okay.
What do I put as an address if I have been living in different homes. Should I put my current house address or list them all?

Hobbies do not need to be listed on the I-129F.
Even if I made money from it?

Hi,
I have official jobs with contracts that my fiance and I have listed on the i129. I do language teaching informally and mostly as a hobby, should I list it? If yes, how do I list the start and end date because I did it on and off for the past seven years.

The U.S. Embassy in Amman is currently processing a limited number of immigrant visa cases. While the Embassy aims to process cases as soon as possible, there will be increased wait times due to a substantial backlog. For worldwide operating status updates please see travel.state.gov.
Thanks again. I'm not sure if that means that 13 months is a long time or not.

There is a pandemic and k1s are backlogged all over the world. You need to identify the country. Secondly, k1s typically make there own appointments
The country is Jordan. I don't know how backlogged the visas here, the embassy website says that they have resumed routine work.

Petition will not be denied. The visa would be denied if you interview to early.
Thanks! Is it possible to choose when to do the interview? So if they give me an early interview appointment can I postpone it?

Hello,
I was on a J-1 visa and I'm currently doing the two year home residency requirement, I have 13 months left until it ends. Is it possible to apply for a K-1 visa now or is it too early? Will applying now result in denial because it's too early?

That's nice of you to say. Thanks.
I doubt I will be able to speak to someone, but I will try to call this week.
