Hi all, I think I might be in the same situation as @Nadine72; I received a NOA on 03/23/2020 that the NVC would begin processing our application. Since then we haven't received anything, except for a notice from the NVC that we hadn't contacted them in a year and our application would be cancelled, and then another notice a week later that the last notice was sent in error.

When I check the ceac status page, it says that our application is "At NVC". I do have an NVC case # and an NVC invoice number.

I'm under the impression that we shouldn't fill out a DS160 until the embassy had reached out. Is this correct? Also, would it help to fill out a DS160 even if the NVC hasn't sent over our information to the embassy? Would filling that out preemtively be a bad thing to do?

Gosh this process is so stressful. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I would continue to check Ceac website...when the embassy is ready to interview...the website will say ready.... there is a significant amount of backlog...but they will to the cases as fast as possible or you could definitely try an expedite.

If you case says at the embassy on the ceac tracker I think you're good to go. I think I read on here before that some people don't get the letter but as I said it was very generic more of a "your case has arrived now click this link". Good luck!

Thank you so much, I am definitely going to give it a shot, once I get my final paperwork in line I'm going for it.

they just sent the normal email with the link that wuozopo posted there further up. It kind of looked like a scanned letter but had a hyperlink in it. I think you probably would have been sent it when the consulate first received your case, that's what happened for me. All you need to do is fill in the ds160 and then book your medical and interview as per the guidance.

i never did receive any email from the emassy at all, when they first recieved my case unfortunately, at the moment i am waiting for some final documents i need then iam going to try get my interview

If you're so inclined to check out our timeline Liam and I also had our case sent to the London Embassy right before the lockdown in March of 2020. It sat there, languishing at the embassy with no word from anywhere. I made lots of calls to the embassy and NVC and a scheduling line in Virginia for an appointment; all to no avail. As my review background on my timeline states I have a medical condition and got the expedite. However the CO did not approve us for the medical exception, she said we qualified under the National interest exception (we showed no additional proof for an NIE, the only information we had was a letter from my neurologist which did not impress the CO at all.) He got a 221g for the medical and police cert which was waaaaaay expired. After some rush orders and quick taxi bookings we got him sorted. The CO did say that IF he was approved he would only have 30 days to travel. He was approved on March 15th, booked a flight for April 6th and the rescheduled because the Easter holiday messed up the covid test results which we paid for not one but two overnight couriers and on April 9th I picked him up at ORD Chicago. I am happy to report we were married on May 21st, 2021 after almost exactly one year of the Covid shutdown. I look at him everyday and tell him I'm so happy he is home and how lucky we are. I would be more than happy to answer any questions or give any advice or recommendations about our journey thus far and the London Experience. My heart breaks for everyone who is still waiting for just a drop of information, chin up tho. Cheers

Firstly I would like to congratulate you on your marriage, I am very happy for you on getting things sorted out to current. The Experience and information you have shared is of great help to me. Thank you very very much. If I do have questions I will definitely relay them to you

London is terrible with sending out letters. We never received anything either other than the email when they cancelled our original interview. If you go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/users/sign_in you should be able to create an account and fill out your DS-160 and get started from there. I hope that helps.

Thank you so much, that is a huge help to me. i will definately give it shot.

Our original interview was canceled in March 2020. We were able to reschedule it a couple weeks ago for June 16 2021 and we aren't apart of any lawsuits. The backlog is massive. You just have to keep checking the site for new appointment times.

the thing with me is, my petition arrived at the embassy just before everyone went into lockdown, i never received any instruction letter or information from the embassy, so i have just been in limbo ever since, the embassy has not made contact with me yet.

Submitting your DS-160 isn’t really tied to any gathering of documents,  so do that any time you like. Nobody reviews it until you are at your interview. It just sits there on a server, not prompting or preventing anything else from happening.

For the medical you will take your police certificate, shot records, and health care summary printout from your GP. If you have any prior surgeries, conditions, depression..you should bring a short statement from your GP with some medical details on each. These ducks do need to be aligned so you are properly prepared to attend the medical. Sometimes NHS is slow in helping you. Visa Medical appointments are readily available so no need to book until you have what you need and know you also have an interview secured. The visa expires 6 months after the medical so don’t go to a medical until you know an interview is actually going to happen. Interview availability will be further out so you will have time to book in the medical well before, when you know your interview date.

True yes, i have some of the paperwork, i will definately get things sorted out.

  8. Hi Everyone thank you for your feedback

My petition reached the embassy on the 10th of March 2020...then the pandemic hit, I have not heard anything from the embassy since being the pandemic and all....I have created a timeline to show my journey so far.

I am hoping to hear something at some point soon.

  9. Hello There Everyone I am new to Visa Journey, I do apologise if this has already been asked.

If there is anyone supposed to have their interview at London embassy for K1 Visa, are there any interviews happening at all particularly non lawsuit applicants?

If and when a K1 visa is approved and you receive it, do you have the validity of the visa to enter the US or one month to enter the US as I hear that NIE is valid for one month?

    Your input is great appreciated.
