  1. Good Morning,

Thank you for responding to my post.

I was wondering if you can provide me with the contact information you have for the embassy in Haiti.

  2. It's better to just wait. I felt the same way too. By withdrawing now and starting over, you will just end up waiting longer. I started the process in Sep 2020. In April 2021, the application was approved and sent to NVC. NVC did not send my application to Haiti until January 2022 because the embassy in Haiti was backfilled and was not accepting applications. Believe me, I called the embassy every month to make sure I was in the know. Anyway, finally had an interview 2 weeks ago. Once you have all your proof that your relationship is valid and complete all necessary paperwork and your finances are straight, should be good to go. In all my process took about 1 year 10 months but that was due to the back up applications that Haiti has. So hopefully yours will be less. Fingers crossed.
  3. Ok, I had no idea about the staff moving around. That's good to know. Thank you!!
  4. Wow! That is quite a long time you waited. They did mention it would take "5" days but it's now 10 days later so I was trying to get some timeframes. But thank you and congrats to both of you Beth!!
  5. Does anyone know how long it takes to get your passport back once you have been approved for the K1 visa at the Haiti location?
  6. Hi, My fiance just had his interview at the Haiti office. He was approved and the representative told him he needs to register for his passport to get picked up at the DHL location of his choice. Prior to his interview I had already selected a DHL office for him to pick up his passport but she said he needs to go and register so he can get back his passport. This is confusing since I initially did all of this and selected a specific location. The location was always visible on our dashboard and after his interview, it was no longer there. Second, when I follow the directions on the paper they gave him, I don't see an option to select for the type of visa. Does anyone know what to do for the K-1 visa document delivery process?
  7. Wow! I called the NVC last week to see if the interview can be done in DR insread or Haiti and the agent told me the Immigrant must have proof of residency in DR. However she went on to say that the DR is also NOT doing any K 1 visa interviews at this time. I'm not sure whats going on so I guess I just have to wait and see.
  8. I filed mine not knowing that my case was still at NVC. It's going to expire in a couple days. Then it has to be done again. So wit till they let you know.
  9. I have been waiting from mid April since I was approved by USCIS. When I called the NVC on Monday June 7th I was told haiti is not doing any K1 visas at this time. They will notify thr NVC when to start sending files to them. I am not sure if this applies to all visas or just the k1
  10. I contacted the NVC today. I had to wait over an hour. Our case was approved and sent to them in mid April and we have not heard anything since. The agent advised my file is still with the NVC and has not been sent to haiti because haiti is currently NOT Issuing any K1 visas. Has anyone else been told this??
  11. Yes but when I try to track it there it says my information does not match. I only have my original receipt number and nothing else. I'm not sure if that's what I need.
  12. Hi. I am new to this. My I-129 was approved back in mid April. I received a notice of approval 797 letter. The letter said my case was sent to the NVC and will be sent to the embassy in Haiti. I have not heard anything since April and I am not sure if I need to do anything else. Can anyone explain what's next? The approval letter said it should be 30 days before we get an appointment but I have not heard or received anything. Next week will be 2 months waiting. Thanks
