About a month. However, USCIS didn't provide anything. They simply say no information can be provided

Did you ever get a resolution on the case? As in even after "no information can be provided" did you receive the card in the mail or any sort of action or are you still waiting.

Looks like they only logged my "case was received" status on June 2nd so technically I guess I should wait until that date has come up but I checked this morning and the SCR location is already at June 2nd, so I am guessing Im still in limbo.

I am hoping for a resolution before the expiry of the extension letter, that is all I care about.

  2. I was just curious how long it takes to get back a response from an inquire of status outside of normal times.

I am a texas center who filed May 26th and now it states may 30th. I filed an inquiry a couple of days ago, maybe monday or tuesday.

Here's the thing, my status online has continued to be Case has been received, I received a biometrics waiver in the mail with the new extended 24month letter but the status has never changed since day 1. It still says to this day "case has been received"

    any insights would be helpful.

Confirmed to be a new extension letter for 24 months. Dated November 8th

I received the same extension letter yesterday from SRC, Texas, dated November 9th.

I also still don't have any updates online, so I am not really relying on the online status anymore since my still says case received, even though I have received a biometric waiver letter and now this extension letter.

You should have gotten the 24 month extension letter in the mail replacing the 18 months.

I am SRC. they probably won't send the 24 month letter because Texas is done within 10 months right now.

I have not received anything other than confirming they used previous fingerprints my online case status still says case was received.

Yep maybe it's a location  thing. But I'm  near Atlanta so they had everyone in and out. Maybe they waive people in areas that can't support the volume of people due to covid and staffing. Biometrics were done at the same speed as pre-covid thank goodness lol. Everyone  was all smiles and our appt was at 6am! 🤣🤣 we were at the the back of the line and grabbed breakfast by 6:30am

Im in metro atlanta, I received my biometrics today for my removal of conditions (submitted end of may). My biometrics are waved (using my previous fingerprints) my case is being processed with SRC (Texas). I think it all depends how the fingerprints were on the first time, if they are clear online for the case manager etc... I don't think its something to do with location unless its location as in processing center.

wondering if anyone in May filers has received anything from SRC the last month. Us June filers haven't seen anything (even biometrics waivers) come out of SRC since the first 2 weeks of June... almost like everything stopped out of SRC since then.

I haven't gotten anything they received mine May 26th, I have been watching in almost daily even the processing time and for some reason a month ago they got to January 20th 2021 files being processed and then all of a sudden they went back to January 1st 2021 files. So seems like they had to review some of them.

I would just keep checking on the status online if it hasn't changed then you shouldn't be liable for not having done the biometrics/receiving anything in the mail.

Well, it didnt actually arrive. USPS either "forgot" to deliver it, or misdelivered it. I am so over USPS and their lack of care with everything. Since we started keeping track in mid-April, this is the fourth important item they've messed up (we still  have three international packages we've sent at the end of April and May allegedly sitting in the Kansas City distribution center).

Imagine if there was actually an appointment being scheduled for biometrics. They would have potentially screwed us.

I had in in my informed delivery on a monday and I was freaking out but then it came on tuesday. Only reason they didn't put it in is because I had a package in the mailbox that would have possibly kept the door open or ruin the letter so she waited until the next day, She doesn't like delivering anything to the doorstep so she just waits till the next day. It says you can only report something not delivered until 7 days after you receive the informed delivery email.

Just an update on this. Package was returned for incorrect fee on 06/14. My $680.00 money order was lost or never made it to them.

I put the money order in a small envelope with the label "Money Order".  I should have just put stapled it with the documents.

Oh Glad you got some sort of answer to this! I would not staple anything they do not want that put a paper clip or one of those heavy duty binder clips. I would also "photocopy" the money order. what I did was photocopy the check I sent because they can pull it out of my account electronically with the check numbers. I clipped the check to the paper copy of the check. So if you could do a check and photocopy it that would be a good idea.

Glad you got some final answers. You still have time to send it in so thats why its best to send it ASAP to have another set of time to process it again.

Since they may be sending my package back, should I just wait to see what went wrong instead of sending a new one and canceling the money order? I don't mind the waiting game. Just want to make sure they have everything they need.

If you could wait I would to know exactly what went wrong. As long as they receive a perfect package by the day it expires.

But for me that isn't the way I roll I would rather send it ASAP then be stuck at the end with an error. I also have to make sure I have the ability to drive around and since my license expires with my card I couldn't wait.

As for the N/A or NONE requirement in the fields it basically states it in the instructions. The way it's stated in the instruction sheet is vague and can be interpreted multiple ways I just did it to make sure everything went through smoothly! They run the forms through a special printer/scanner thats why it has to be done right for them to accept it. And who knows what is truly right, the way they don't have an example up there makes it truly hard to understand.

You are all good. I only mentioned it to Nickandkat because his/hers card still shows the "valid for work only with DHS authorization" disclaimer. Nickandkat just filed the I-751 and coincidentally, is about to start a job. Se he/she got caught in that inbetween where you are waiting for your NOA/extension letter and not having documents to show for the I-9. They got the extension letter and they're good to go now.

I did update my card when I became a permanent resident but forgot to update it when I became a citizen. I was a student at the time and kept having to submit my documents to the registrar's office/financial aid office every semester. So I finally went to the Social Security Office and updated it.

I actually looked at mine and it does still say authorized only through DHS. So I called the offices and they're doing appointments only so I have one for next week to update. They advise that we update with every step of our immigration changes, I guess that is a requirement and DHS does NOT do it for us. There's no penalty for me not doing in for the last two years. But I definitely would do it. My employer didn't care since they understand that I am still authorized to work.

No other reason than having a 'normal' card. If you did that (removed the red print), you're good. I got mine when I entered the country as an F1 student back on 2005 and says work with DHS authorization only. I am not going to remove it until after I get a US passport haha. Has zero implications on my employment forms so I'll wait.

I never did anything with mine, I got mine on a TN visa and they never sent me a new one once my conditional perm resident card was approved. Never called or did anything. The number stays the same for life, maybe ill call once my permanent green card is approved. It doesn't say anything about doing it since Homeland Security does it for you and the reason they've asked for a SSN on every form you fill through the immigration process.

Unless I am completely wrong? Please advise me of something else.

USPS confirmed it was delivered to Phoenix Lockbox on 04/26. I have called several times and they don't have it in the system. They keep saying there may be a delay and we need to wait 60 days. I485 was approved 07/21/19 so I think I am within the window.. I did not put N/A on those lines, just left them blank.

Is that the expiration date on the Green card? 07-21-2021? or is it different. The expiration on the card has to be the date you use to file within the 90 day window.

I would send in another application in case it is being returned to you. (usually what ive seen is it takes a month to get it back but they haven't sent it yet); I would cancel the money order, or check or whatever you sent and send in all the information again.  Review the instructions again. That would be my suggestions they won't be able to detect anything on the phone if there's no proof. And why wait for it to be submitted "late" even though you have a valid reason.

The only reason I say this is I sent mine 05/24 arrived 05/26 and Ive already received my NOA. its not uncommon for them to lose things. You still have plenty of time to resubmit it and get an NOA before it expires.

  13. 35 minutes ago, Aghalor said:

    Sent package 4/23

    Received 4/26

Still no NOA or check cashed

    Submitted everything correctly.

Do you have proof that it was sent to the correct address? Proof of a signature or delivery?

Also did you double check when you sent the package was it in the 90 day window prior to expiry of GC. If it was sent beforehand you may get it sent back. The only other thing I could see it being delayed is if you didn't sign the signature page, or if the form wasn't filled to their standards (they're extremely picky. they want N/A and NONE in the lines that are not corresponding to you).

Not trying to get you nervous or anything just noting what ive seen why people have had delays. But I would definitely call like the others have said.

    Here's my timeline so far:

    May 15th: sent with USPS

    May 21st: received by USCIS

May 30th: My credit card was charged

June 2nd: Text notification, no email notification

I still haven't received the extension letter. It's not in today's Informed Delivery either.

Did anyone else wait this long? Is it normal? I think if it's not in tomorrow's Informed Delivery, I'm going to try and call USCIS and see what they say. Do you guys think there's a chance they will give me stamp in my passport to hold me over? I'm starting a new job next week and really need the letter for the I9.

I think it depends on the service center you are being processed at. I also think it depends how far that is from your home and how the USPS works near you, some places are slower than others. My letter is in my Informed delivery today, they cashed it on June 4th and I got a text on June 4th. The letter stamped on June 3rd. If you received a text you have a case number and you could use it to get a stamp if necessary. I screenshot the text incase I lost it and saved it as picture on my computer.

    Hi all,

I got my text  with regards to i-751 receipt - We're in Texas but somehow got MSC - Not great news with regards to processing times.

It was sent on May 26th so not too bad of a wait to hear.

My GC was due to expire today, a question from that, now that I have an MSC number does it mean the I-751 wasn't rejected and I can breath a sigh of relief for now that I won't have to re-submit after it's expired?

I always worry about these things!

    Thanks!

Yes because they sent you a number it means they have "begun" processing your form. The payment went through and you signed and filled everything correctly.

After this youll receive your extension letter in the mail. once you do SCAN and COPY it multiple times and carry the copies don't carry original unless you are traveling outside the country.

RFE, fingerprints and interviews all come later in the processing. but for now you can breath!

    UPDATE

April 13th 2021   -     ROC start date for filing (90 days before GC expires)

May 24th 2021    -     Sent ROC via UPS 2 day AM with required signature

May 26th 2021    -     Received and signed for by PONCE in AZ

June 4th 2021     -     Check deposited (my bank also takes a while for it to post on my account so they probably did it June 2nd)

I sent in the G-1145 for E-notifications. I have not received any information of that sort yet. The check does not show any pictures. It could possibly be delayed or it could have been electronically withdrawn from my account using the check information. (it doesn't look like it was; they used the check number105).

I am excited to get my NOA in the mail in the next few days to week! I don't care where it lands and I don't care how long it will take! I can only hope to not get an RFE and have the interview waived when that time comes.

Presumably you added your A- Number to the main form itself in the required box? If you did then you should have nothing to worry about. It won't be rejected if you didn't add the A-number to all the evidence pages. I didn't, and mine was not rejected.

Perfect thank you! Yes the form was reviewed like 10 times that was done and the cover letter has it as well. I just didnt' want to put it on everything because I wanted things to look authentic and untempered with! Glad yours was done the same and it didn't get rejected!

I also didn't put the check at the top! I am that person that things people can see things and may take the check so I put it first thing behind the cover letter. I also photocopied the check in case it gets lost ... so they have my bank information. (hopefully they dig a tiny bit hahah)

So we are now in the waiting game.

Now I am freaking out! I shouldn't have put that on the UPS lady told me not to but because everyone was posting that so and so had a signature I thought I should request one. it also says Adult signature, not sure if they'll accept it. I am freaking out!!! UPS says it should delivery by 7pm Wednesday. When (time) was everyone's signature or delivery made if you used UPS?

For those of you wondering, my package was delivered as expected today 05/26 at 9:30am (AZ time) and it was signed by PONCE.

So if you do certified required signature, it will go through not a problem. It also states its delivered to the mailroom (I am guessing of the building)

Now its time to wait for the check to clear, text and then the NOA letter!  Hopefully nothing gets rejected! I am just glad it went through no problems with the required signature!

  20. I am freaking out a little. I had UPS request a signature upon delivery of my package. I think it may get rejected because "an adult" is not there to sign it. It states that it should arrive Wednesday by 7pm, which I am hoping is during business hours. The only reason I requested a signature is because everyone was saying how so and so signed for their package so I wanted to make sure there was a signature so I could go back to USCIS if anything.

If you used UPS for Arizona location, what was the time stamp on the deliveries? and did you request a signature?

Someone help I am in full panic mode!

  21. 4 hours ago, USC4SPOUSE said:

@anjad22 that is a really good question. We went to UPS and the agent recommended not adding the signature requirement. He said that if no one is available to sign For it, then UPS would need to re-attempt delivery. So we took it off. It was delivered by 11am as promised. I think the UPS website still showed that someone signed for it, though.

    Now I am freaking out!
