  1. Hi, guys! I got my NOA1 on March 24. On USCIS website, they are processed for March 25. So I tried to send inquiry. But I got this. Do I have to wait for putting inquiry more?

Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. Further information about recent processing times can be viewed on the uscis.gov webpage.

This is a present tense question, so use the present name.  If current family name is not Japanese, then only enter Given names in Japanese.  If current address is in USA, not need to enter an address here.  Is she adjusting status or leaving the US to get an immigrant visa?

Aww Okay then he can enter his given name in Japanese. And just leave the empty blanks of current family name and address?

He stays in US with working visa, and he is adjusting status I guess!

  3. Hi, guys. I am K1 visa filer. I am here for helping my friend couple. It’s little confused to fill out i-130. Can I get helps for my friends? Thanks!

My friend is Japanese who lives in US with work visa (so he currently lives in  state) and when they got married in US, my friend got new family name.

When they fill out this question, he needs to fill out new family name and address (US) in Japanese? Or he fills out his Japanese family name of his family side in Japanese?

For example, if his original family name is Akiyama but new family name is Miller. Then what does he fill out in blank? Akiyama in Japanese or Miller in Japanese?

Don't worry your time will come, do remember there is almost 12% applications from January which have not even been touched and I know people are still waiting from Oct Nov and Dec as well, be patient and stop checking it every hour that will do nothing but make your hair fall.

Make a pattern, check every Monday and Wednesday. Don't read too much into what the USCIS is doing because honestly there is NOONE NOooooOOOOne who can tell you with 110% conviction that "this is why"

So support, try to learn more tips and tricks, fill out your timeline so that way you can easily find out what's happening within that range with a little more accuracy, check your countries forum.

    Cheers

Thanks! I will be patient! :)

I'm really sorry because I know the wait sucks, but you're going to need to take a deep breath and prepare to wait. You also can't keep asking this question in multiple places.

USCIS has been processing about 30 cases a day, which means just to get through the rest of Feb will take over 50 days. But they will move on to March at some point and work on both Feb and March. Pay attention to the spreadsheet I post updates on every few days because you're so close to the beginning of the month, as you see end of Feb cases getting processed, you'll have more information.

Keep in mind there are still January filers who have not received NOA2 so while we all understand it's frustrating, your situation isn't as bad as some. Yet. You need to keep that in mind. It can be hurtful to people who are at 300 days+ of waiting to see someone complain about 215 days. I don't say this because I don't think you have a right to complain. You do. But so do others who have been waiting a LOT longer. And posting the same question in multiple places doesn't help.

The truth is, no one knows when your case will be processed. Even if they get to March 3 in two weeks, yours might be one they don't touch for a much longer amount of time. The best thing you can do is try to relax because there's nothing you can do to speed the process up but you can manage your expectations.

And yes, put NOA1 into that box you asked about.

Hang in there. It will happen, but worrying won't make it happen faster.

Thanks for the information. That’s what I really need. I just found out processing is being slower than before. So I was so confused. Even 1-2 weeks ago, it seems like people got NOA2 between 180-210 days. Not at all, it did in my country. :/ anyway thank you for the answer. I just understand that many people haven’t received NOA2 yet more than I know. Hope we get NOA2.

  6. Hi, Guys.

I am one of K-1 March filers. And I am nearing 215 days for NOA2. These days, according to other guys’s time line, we can find out people barely got NOA 2 since middle of February.

I wonder why… I was searching news or media stuffs of K-1 for now. But I couldn’t find anything why it is being slow. I just guess it’s because of Covid or Thanksgiving, holidays?

Is there anyone who knows why it’s getting slow? Or please let me share any news of fiancé visa..

I have now added a cases processed per day chart, with a moving average of 2 days, to the spreadsheet using the data we keep up to date.

Thought it would be interesting to see the data on it. Seems to have been moving at a steady state. One thing to remember is that as observed some cases are having their approved date updated to a couple of days later so it may skew the data somewhat so take these figures with a pinch of salt. Also these cases are Feb only cases so doesnt include cases from Jan or March that get processed.

Edit: Just realised the moving averages is wrong lol so ignore that for now :P

    Thanks for the information!

What happened there, why is it so slow now? Is it because of Covid or vaccination? 😥

  8. Hi, guys. How have you been?

I saw processing time On USCIS website. And It’s February 25 now. But seems like It’s delay and some of February fillers didnt’t get NOA2 yet… 😕 I thought visa process was getting faster slowly but it’s slow again. Seemed like some people got NOA2 in 7 months since they got NOA1.

Today I am nearing 210 days. I guess I can get NOA2 on November but who knows… so worried. My Received date is March 24 and Notice date is April 14. Received date is NOA1, is it correct?

    still insecure and worried, nervous…

  9. Hi, guys. My fiancé and I are waiting for noa 2. And we submitted all initial evidence . But we heard that USCIS may request for initial evidence that we already submitted. Then what do we have to do for reaction and response? We need to send them same initial evidence we sent at first time? Sorry for keep asking. Please let me know if you know. I need more information of RFE

An RFE would come to him in his Email (hopefully he provided one)

and at this time most of the information is about him and the proofs he would need to get would be from USA

and no,  he has to do the work at this point of the process

but u r way overthinking this and most do not get an RFE so relax

Yeah I am so worried. My fiance is military. We never know when he go to mission or overseas out of blue :(

  11. Hi, guys. My fiance and I filed i-129f, and we are waiting for noa 2. I am beneficiary. My fiamce often goes to busniess trip for a month. So if we got RFE from USCIS, I would love to reponse to it. Also we will write letter and we have evidence to prove. Can I (beneficiary) send response to USCIS from my country (beneficiary’s address)? Can I send it to USCIS from South Korea via Fedex? If I can send it from my country, do I write my address or my fiance’s address? My fiance will write response and All I do is sending to USCIS. Please let me know, I need help.. I am so worry… Thanks for reading my post.

Mine took 7 days from my text to make it to my mailbox.  I had the mail scanning option enabled from my previous move in 2019 so I received the email that showed the scanned picture of the envelope.  This is going to be one of those things that you will be biting nails, sweating bullets and extremely concerned.  Suddenly, it will be in your mailbox.
I am definitely excited for you to receive the notification though because you do have the case number now.  If, and I would wait a long time before you do is, you truly think your NOA-1 is lost, you can request the receipt document again.  But I would strongly caution you to not do this unless a month has passed since the notification.  You have your case # and you can track it.  Now is the time to sit back, relax and enjoy the present life.  You are on the journey!  Congratulations!!!

Thanks for sharing your experience! Yes, it suddenly showed up in my fiancé's mailbox 9 hours Wow! Thank you for your advice all the time, it always makes me feel better thanks! 🤩

It seems like your living in South Korea? My NOA1 never made it to my mailbox in China. But I was able to see all of the documents online since that's were I submitted it but also the status checker will give you the latest information. Oddly enough my NOA2 did arrive in my mailbox but it took several weeks. As others had said you will be fine and will be able to track your status regardless if the letters make it to you.

I heard that petitioner (U.S. citizen fiance) will receive most of letter! It took several weeks to get NOA2 letter? Is it average time? 😰 Thank you for information!

You could probably call them if you wait at least 7-10 more days and have not received the hard copy. Since you got the text though I really wouldn't worry. I calmed right down once we called and got our WACxxxxxxx over the phone even. The hard copy didn't even matter to me once I knew we had a number assigned to our case. I know the hard copy is official and therefore the most important but receiving the text would have been relieving enough :)

Thanks for your advice :) we will wait longer patiently after that if we didn't receive hardcopy, we would call them!

How is processing time of K1 visa these days? Hope it’s getting faster than last year!

No I don't think you need to. They took your money yes? That means your notice hardcopy is coming.

For us, a) our lawyer did not file the form for e-notification and b) we paid the lawyer and they paid USCIS from their account so they knew when the card was charged but we did not. I'm a control freak so I got my fiance to call USCIS especially because a lot of filers around us were receiving their notice and we had not. So we called them I believe March 8th. They told my fiance that our number was xxxxxxxxxx and had been received December 28, with the receipt notice being issued February 27. A week later we received the hard copy.

I don't think us calling catalysed them to send the hard copy. I think it was coming anyway it just so happened that by the time I had flapped and panicked enough to call, the hardcopy was a week away. Technically looking at my rough timeline, the hardcopy came two weeks after the notice date.

Yes we got text but no hardcopy. We got text a week ago. I totally understand how you felt at the time. I was panicking because I thought our hardcopy of NOA1 is gone and it can happen again when we get NOA2. (I heard that NOA2 I-797 is important to submit AOS)

We’ve been waiting for hardcopy of NOA1 for a week then I need to wait 1 more week at least. After that, if I couldn’t still receive hardcopy in case, what can we do for it?
