  1. No the part 4 is only used if the beneficiary is filing out the form
  2. I did 3 years tax transcripts and then also attached 2021 tax return. I don’t think it was necessary, but like you I wanted to be positive that I had it all covered. Lol
  3. You can go to www.irs.gov 2. Click “Get My Tax Record” 3. Click “Get Transcript Online” and click “Create Account” to create a login OR login if you have created one in the past. There’s you can print out your tax transcript which has in a few pages all the information contained in your tax return, then you don’t need to present your return. Other wise I think just the first few pages that shows your adjusated income for the year
  4. They are not interested in beneficiary income. I put zero. They are only interested in petitioners income
  5. Why aren’t you able to get married bird the I-94 expires? Even if you get a marriage license and go to the justice of the peace, and follow with the formality later. Why risk it??
  6. Well April filers, my fiance, has an appointment to pick up her visa this Friday, and a flight to the USA on Monday. The confirmation started with an IV, meaning it is electronic; so there will be no sealed packet, as all information is on file electronically. As confident as I am that all is good until she is actually on the plane to Omaha I am still holding my breath. There is no reason to think she will have any issues at customs in Atlanta, but you here horror stories!! Hoping all goes well, after almost 16 months were almost there!!!!!!
  7. It took about a week after the Argentina embassy received the application for us to be able to schedule an interview. The interview date was 3 weeks out
  8. I know every embassy is different, but we only ever received one email with instructions to create an account, schedule an interview and pay the fee. We never received a packet 3 and 4
  9. Finally after 15 months!! Tomorrow I leave for Buenos Aires, I am going to attend the interview on the 28th. I know every Embassy is different, so not sure how I will be treated, if anyone out there has been through the process I would appreciate a little insight. I think we are prepared, I have all the original documents, the original application, the approval letter, the NVC confirmation, the DS-160 barcode. I have my I-134 support form with documentation of income and assets, and a file with proof of relationship that is almost overbearing!! Including photos and letters from friends during the 6 months we spent together in Mexico!!! I think ours is a slam dunk, but nothing is ever guaranteed! I hope they can issue the visa without too much delay, it is winter time in Argentina and we want to enjoy together what is left of the summer here in the Midwest!!!!! Here goes nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Woo hoo congrats!!!! The K-1 is weird it falls under the non immigrant category when you apply, built when it gets to the consulates they treats it like an immigrant visas. Who cares as long as they are moving it along right?
  11. I think your guess about the consulate not having interview times is probably correct. When the NVC was taking calls they told me my case would be sent off when the consulate was opening interview times. Who knows whether their timeline for case processing has been updated if they were closed for eight months. I know it's all very frustrating, best of luck.
  12. I sent it through the public inquiry email. But like I said earlier don't expect anything from them anytime soon, unless since they are not taking phone calls, they are more prompt in answering inquiries
  13. My opinion is don’t rely on NVC for any updates. I sent an inquiry about our case on April 26th, two days ago June 14th I received an email answer to that inquiry, stating that they had forwarded my case to the embassy. In the meantime, we had already heard from the embassy and scheduled our appointment for June 28. We were fortunate enough that we received our case number before they quit answering the phones. I think it is absolutely ridiculous that NVC wont take phone calls, after waiting a year from NOA 1 to 2 with no communication, I thought finally there would be an avenue to keep informed about our case, turned out not to be true. I don’t know how they are going to solve this, I just know they should not treat their citizens trying to do things the proper way through immigration completely in the dark through the entire process.
  14. I know how you guys are feeling, we experienced the same frustration. We never received any notices from the NVC ever, not when they received our case, not when they assigned our case number and not when they sent it on. Fortunately they were still taking calls at that time, so I was able to get information by waiting in hold for 2 hours at a time. The Argentina embassy sent us instructions to establish an account after they received it from the NVC. In our case it took about 10 days to receive notice from the embassy, once the case was marked ready, hopefully you will hear very soon.
  15. I think it can depend on how often they are mailing from the service center to the NVC. Our case took about 10 days for NVC to receive, about another week or so to get a case number and a out another week to send to the embassy. When it goes to the embassy I understand is determined by the embassy caseload. That is what I was told by NVC anyway
  16. Her interview is June 28th, and our tentative wedding date is August 12th, I was hoping should get coverage through healthcare.gov but wasn’t sure Thanks for the help
  17. Anyone with experience regarding health insurance for beneficiary until they get their residence card? Thanks
  18. I thought when I got our case number I could make use of it, but really pretty useless for tracking it knowing where it is at because they don't update the website. You really in limbo again until you get an email from the embassy. Then in our case we were unable to talk get any information from anyone. The whole process is frustrating just have to try and be patient
  19. Totally agree!!! The lack of communication and flexibility is not the way you treat your citizens.
  20. We got an email from the consulate in Argentina, with instructions to register out account. We were able to get as far as payment of the visa fees but aren’t allowed to pay the fees until we schedule an appointment and it says no appointment times available “ check back”. So once again we are in limbo, so frustrating!!!!
  21. I didn’t know the s-160 was only valid for 30 days, we filed ours a week ago, now waiting for an interview date. Not sure what happens outside of the 30 days?
