We just had the GC interview. Unfortunately, it turns out the reason why we were selected to go to the interview is because they were unable to get her fingerprints twice as well as at the interview itself. So now we will get an RFE to provide police clearance records for the past 5 years. I really, really hope that we can just resubmit a copy of the police certificate used at the K1.

So sorry that happened! I am not sure how they were able to mess up the biometrics twice. We have our GC interview in two weeks, I'm  hoping it will go smoothly as so many others interviews were already waived.

  2. Timeline so far! Thought I would share if anyone would like to follow along. :)

any update on yours yet? i was received one day before you still waiting for my check to be cashed. weird as a few people had their received dated after us but got the noa1 notice before us too.

Yes! So it got delivered on April 28 to Chicago lockbox. Our card was charged on May 06, and then we received 3 texts on May 09. But when we checked the case tracker our case was last updated on April 28. So guess it just took a little while to charge the card and send texts. No updates since then! Hoping to get biometrics scheduled soon like everyone else

Our AOS package was delivered to the Chicago Lockbox on April 30th and this morning we got the text messages with the case numbers. Our recieved date is May 2nd. Hopefully you get yours soon as well.

I've noticed quite a few people have already received text notifications that have submitted after us. Just hoping we didn't mess something up! Will find out soon enough.

  5. Hello everyone!

Just a little confused about the next steps at the NVC. Our NOA2 date was July 23 and our case was sent over to the NVC. I called NVC about 3 weeks after NOA2 date and got the case and invoice number. When I check on CEAC I see that our case status is: AT NVC. Does anyone have an idea for how long it stays at this step? Is 'in processing' the next step, and how long does that step take?

Any help would be appreciated. Just trying to get an idea for how long this NVC part is going to take :)

    Hi there,

After filing in December 2019, and finally receiving our NOA2 back in October 2020, our petition has been stuck at NVC since then. On August 3rd 2021 our case has changed to "in transit to London Consulate", so it's exciting to get some movement on it!

I can confirm that we are not part of any lawsuits, so yes I believe they are now working on petitions for NOA2s towards the end of 2020.

Good luck with your case, I'm sure things will start moving more swiftly from this point!

Ahh congratulations!! Yes I hope that means things will start speeding up. I'm getting a little impatient hehe .

From what I gather, they were starting with people whose petitions were approved before the pandemic and the people that were part of the lawsuits. But I think it's moved onto the others now. It's a good sign that they're actually requesting cases from the NVC because that's something they haven't been doing in a long time. Hopefully they get relatively caught up soon! I just got my NOA1 4/1 so I have a ways to go haha

Awesome! This is such a relief, thank you. Ahh you do have a little bit to go, but it should hopefully be quicker for you. I wish you luck !! :)

So the bad news is London sucks lol...the good news is that it looks like they've increased the number of K1's being processed there based on June reporting:

Monthly Nonimmigrant Visa Issuance Statistics (state.gov)

You can search by Month and by location to see how many of each visa types they've processed each month. The most current reporting is June 2021.

Yes I saw this graph! I was just worried that it was a reflection of processing only K1 visas that were part of the Milligan vs Pompei litigation, and not just general applicants. I asked this same question on reddit and the reply I got was that London was ONLY processing those plaintiffs and general applicants wouldn't be considered until travel ban lifted. But from the other answer provided it seems like they are processing and issuing for general applications as well! Great news :)

No because you can’t book your interview until your case is “ready” with NVC and the embassy has emailed you. In transit means NVC have sent the petitions to London, so they don’t have interviews yet, probably will find out in the next few days what dates are open for them. I’m sure people will post on the fb group as soon as they get their emails from the embassy.

Ah okay understood! Thank you so much !

From what I know, cases with NOA2 March-June 2020 have interviews this month. Now it looks like cases from July 2020 to December 2020 are in transit to the embassy. I saw one person with a NOA2 in January also confirm their case is in transit. This is all non lawsuit. I think once the second batch are given interview dates, we’ll have a better idea how long it will be for 2021 NOA2 cases. If you have Facebook, join “K-1 Visa UK Crew” as this is where most people post updates!

So when you say in transit to embassy, you mean that they have an actual interview date set with the embassy right? If so thats a big relief. I keep reading posts about how no cases are being processed until ban is lifted. Thank you! I have requested to join :)

  11. Hello everyone! I am a bit confused about the processing times at the UK consulate. I have been tracking other's timelines that have applied, and following the K1 Visa Historical Processing Times chart, but am not sure if they are accurate. I think the chart is skewed due to all the expedited cases from the Milligan v Pompei lawsuits.

Does anyone have a rough idea of how long the process will take for an application that was not a part of this litigation? Is the UK consulate processing any K1 visas at this moment? We received our NOA2 end of July and want to start planning for a wedding next year. Any help is appreciated!

    Timeline:

    NOA1 - December 11, 2020

    NOA2 - July 19, 2021

  12. I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I am still confused. The Texas lockbox received my 129-F application on December 10, 2020, but I didn't receive my NOA1 until February 26, 2021. So on the actual letter mailed to me it states that the received date is 10/10/2020, but the notice date is 02/26/2021. Which date is the actual NOA1 date that I can base my timeline after? I just want to have an idea of how long the entire process will be :) Any help appreciated !
