    Today was the day!

Seattle appointment at 10:15am, delayed slightly by a long and slow queue to get checked in.
My interview was with a very friendly officer from the Spokane office via an iPad.
In total it took about 20 minutes, and I was approved right there.

My questions were (can’t remember the exact order):

    1. Who signs bills in to law?
    2. Name a US territory?
    3. What party is the President part of?
    4. What month do we vote for president?
    5. How long do we elect a senator for?

I had my own USCIS binder of paperwork with me (copies of all my previous filings, plus copies of birth certificates, marriage certificate, and updated bank and mortgage statements), but none were asked for. After the call was done (and I signed the final bit of paper) they took my green card and directed me back to the waiting room, letting me know it would be about an hour’s wait until I could take my oath.

In less than 10 minutes a group of six or eight of us were called in to a room and the officer checked we were all there, reading out our names from the stack of citizen ‘packs’. Then we read out the oath, and were handed our packets! All done!

She advised us to get going with our passport applications, as the wait time is like 3+ months right now (I have my appointment booked for tomorrow for some time now) and before I knew it I was back out at my car and on my way home. I registered to vote using the online form right when I got home!

I want to extend a massive thanks to everyone here;  when my dates were months away, it was awesome to follow along with you all as you made your way through the system. I wish everyone else who’s still waiting the very best and know it will all be done in time.

(My next move is to update the tracker spreadsheet!)

    Congratulations!

Almost done with the journey (pending passport).

Had my interview scheduled for 7am earlier today. Was called in at about 7.05

As expected, it was a virtual one conducted by the officer based in Spokane. Since my application was spouse based - I was asked for a copy of the documents proving the marriage. So gave them Bank statement, mortgage statements, Car insurance, Tax returns. The documents were collected by the agent here, scanned and then sent to the officer in Spokane.

He then asked the 6 civics questions, followed with a series of yes/no questions. Once through, I was approved for citizenship and then he worked on getting me scheduled for Oath the same day. Was asked to leave the green card and a document that I was made to sign for the Oath ceremony - and then wait in the Hallway.

All this took about 30 minutes. In about 10-15 minutes we were called into a room for the Oath ceremony and were done by 8am.

I already had my Drivers license appointment pre-booked for converting it to EDL, and also my passport appointment at the post office. Done with both in a breeze.

With the final wait of few more months for the passport the immigration journey will be over.

    Congratulations!

    Appllication date - jan 2020

    Interview date - june 11 , 12 pm noon

    Location- tukwilla

    Oath date - june 11

Reached at 11.50, there were two diff lines at the gate - fingerprints and interview. Guard asked what time interview was and since it was within 15 min, he allowed us to go in.  There was security check and then a counter where i got a token and was asked to go on second floor. Waited for 5 min and i was called for interview. Guy asked me to only keep gc passport and dl on table and rest in drawer. Interview was virtual , i was sitting in a cubicle with headsets. Officer was  really nice and was often cracking jokes and doing informal conversation during interview. It started with showing gc on camera and then oath and basic questions abt me. Post that she asked 6 questions and verbal and written. Those were really easy. After that 50 yes/no questions. They were boring and tiring. Headsets along with mask did hurt my ears. After we were done she asked if i am traveling , i said no and then she said we will do oath today and u have to give up gc. She printed a page and asked me to mark everything no and sign and give my gc along with that page. Post that she printed test results. I was asked to wait outside for oath. After 1-1.15 hours they called my name for oath and 5-6 folks went to a room , oath ceremony was done in less than 5 min and we were handed naturalization certificates.

It wasnt bad, but yesterday with rain traffic was little bad that added to the whole process.

Thank you, this is helpful at least I know now what it looks like the process over there. My interview is at 6:30 am. I hope things will be fine. Thanks again.

I went yesterday for interview at tukwila and oath happened same day. It took total of 2 hours.

30 min interview (asked literally all 50 no/yes questions).

After that they make u wait for 5-6 folks to be ready for oath. In my case i was first from this group so had to wait more than hour. But there were folks who did have to wait. Oath was just 5-10 min.

That is good news, thanks for the feedback. If you can write a small summary would be great for the whole process in there.

Thats amazing! Congratulations. Thats the fastest I have heard for Seattle office.

Was your case any different? Just for fun sakes - what does your estimated time of completion say?

The estimated time of completion 14 months. But  other members of my family didn't get an appointment. We all applied on the same date. I'm not sure how they are scheduling, but it seems things are improving in the Seattle office.

@Alpa Alpa I noticed from the tracking sheet that you have an biometric interview date rather than reuse letter. Did they send you the letter automatically or you had to request for it? I am curious. Most likely I’ll have to provide biometrics instead of reuse. Thanks

They sent it to me by mail, It took 3 weeks to receive it from the day I got the message on my phone until arrived the letter. But you can print from the document in case you don't receive it.
