So I finally got an email saying that as of 11/10/21 I got an approval. Although it did not update on the USCIS case tracker, I’m okay with that being as though yesterday was an holiday .
I’m forever grateful that I submitted an inquiry seemed like it speeded things up.
Thank you sweet Jesus For the approval !

I mean, if that's the case, it would change everything, but again, why was it that some people were able to get responses while still being in the (new) "normal processing time"? Moreover, what doesn't make sense to me is that the December filers waited a long time for their notice, but seemed to be adjudicated exactly at the time we'd expect. My problem is this: for the February filers who are getting responses now, when was their received date versus when was their notice date? If all their notice dates are collectively before March 11, then... perhaps we have our (unfortunate) answer.
But still, this is just one employee saying that. Maybe there was a huge disaster between December-February because of how long it took to process notices, and it got somewhat resolved by late February/March? I'm patiently awaiting the first March member to say something, then we might be able to have a better idea of what's going on.
Yes, I agree, it could just be this 1 employee giving wrong information.
I think it should be NOA date vs Date of Receipt, that should kind of give us a better understanding, if you’re looking for the ones that received their NOA 2 for Feb -
I mentioned both, and he assured me that we’ve been miscalculating. But it still doesn’t make since to me. After the conversation my first though was, so I am a March filer? Also, if I can recall, the receipt letter mentions that we will use the date that was accepted as my NOA 1 date.
You know there is always 1 staff member that doesn’t know the accuracy of things. Perhaps , I was connected to the that 1 staff member. -

They are just trying to save themselves over short staff and mandates. Your NOA-1 is in February and keep trying to inquire about your case.
2 hours ago, Benny4352 said:if this applied to me then they would have said our application is not outside of processing times like others have received when they sent the request. Either way I'll check what our Receipt day is on our NOA1 tonight. I know a lot have been back dated from Feb and March.
Yes it’s definitely sketchy. I was thinking that the rep didn’t know what he was speaking of. But then again , this is just all confusing.

Yes and according to your timeline your NOA 1 was a few days after mines.
Wish you the best -

...what? This appears to be really relevant information, though I'm not sure exactly what to do with it. When did you submit the package?
Exactly , it definitely changes things slightly as far as time frame, and makes a difference. I asked him 3 different times, and told him that I was under the impression how most of us here are (NOA 1 date) is what we count from. He said visa journey people are not USCIS workers and can give misleading information and that we should get clarification from USCIS employees always.
Honestly, I’ll just keep both dates in mind, NOA 1 acceptance and receipt date, for my own sanity.
sent 2/16/21
received/accepted 2/22/21 (NOA 1)
receipt 3/20/21

Just got a reply for our Outside Normal Processing Times Request
"On 10/22/2021, you or your representative contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) about your I-129F because you believe your case is outside normal processing times. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.
Thank you for your inquiry. We recognize your interest in the final adjudication of your pending petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. We regret we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will review your case but the California Service Center is committed to processing this workload. We will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in the most efficient manner based on our available resources. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
What You Can Do
Please see the "Online Services" below to check the status of your case in the near future. We apologize for the delay.
We hope this information is helpful to you. "
This makes it sound like they haven't even looked at the case yet Kind of wish I had got the default response others were getting.I sent an inquiry yesterday, received an email stating they will respond to me by Nov 23.
I then called, was able to speak to a rep. I explained that I was contacting them to check on my status as it’s been outside of the normal processing time. I explained my NOA was accepted on 2/22/21, therefore it’s been over 6 months, and according to their website that’s out of normal processing time.
I then was told, don’t go by that date because it was only accepted not processed. I was told to go by 3/20/21 the receipt date as this is when it’s processed. So as of yesterday it’s been 7 months and 1 week. I was told to follow back up within 3 weeks if I don’t here anything, processing time for K1 is 6-8 months. -

yes, it's for the interview. Btw, can you give the link about the Q&A of I-864?
Thanks in advance
also their Facebook page is always accurate and a good resource and informative since it comes directly from them .
You’re welcome ☺️

As far as I know affidavit is still needed. The link you gave is for Form I-864, and that will be needed later for AOS.
I-134 filled by petitioner not beneficiary
Hi and thank you for your response . I knew that petitioner needs to complete I-134 but wasn’t sure if it’s something we send back or beneficiary has it available at the interview. I learned that it’s need for the interview.
Also there is a better explanation on USCIS Facebook page that explains I-864 new rule in debt. They made a Q&A I found that was helpful. They mentioned many people were confused with the new rule in place.
thank you so much again

Hello
I’m hoping someone can help me.
With the new public charge rule, affidavit is no longer needed. Or is it ?
I’m a bit confused on this new rule/law Biden passed.
link is below , what this mean ?
https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/affidavit-of-support
Also is i134 needed at all either from petitioner or beneficiary ?
Is this still needed after Biden pass the new rules/ law with USCIS ? -
Hello February fillers , your thoughts on having your spouse here before the end of the year? What’s the likelihood ?
I keep looking at the estimated approval date (which means NOA 2 approval, I’m assuming) which fluctuates between the middle towards ending of September to October.
Then I’m thinking things shouldn’t take too long after the NOA 2 which should round near the end of the year.
Your thoughts

When is a good time to notify USCIS about employment status change?
I will no longer be working at the job that is on my application,
however I would like to notify them once I am able to put a new job on file, which would be in the next two months.
Anyone ?

Did you use any tracking for the package?
If so and it says "delivered" and signed by anybody, then you should be fine and in the system. We received the receipt or the notice 4 weeks later whenever it was already in the system. So if you have an actual delivering date, I guess that should be the actual NOA1 date.
Correct me if I am wrong.
It’s not the delivery date that your NOA 1 is dated for. NOA 1 is when which ever service center or lockbox you sent it to first receives it .
Did you use a money order or visa payment ? If any has been processed then it’s in the system , it’s just taking time to give you notice I’m assuming -

I just came back in December after spending 5 weeks there. I’m just going to wait it out. My timeline says we should get NOA2 in august so hoping he’s here by October.

Great news! Money was taken out of my account this morning form USCIS ☺️
No email confirmation or text confirmation as of yet ...I’ve read post similar to this before.
Anyone can testify how long they waited for confirmation email or text after money was withdrawn from their account for the 129f fee?mailed on 2/16
received by USCIS 2/22
fee collected by USCIS 3/22
To add, NOA1 received on 3/22 as well via text

Agreed!! When you update your timeline use the February date!
Also I just checked the processing times on USCIS website and they are almost up to September filersOk , great so I did do the right thing. Thanks so much for your continued support.
Do you plan on visit ghost fiancé again anytime soon, or are you waiting until the end of your process.l?

If the fee was collected today, you will probably receive the text by Wednesday/Thursday and the actual paper NOA1 via post mail next week sometime. At least that is what was happening with us January filers. That is awesome though that you all are receiving your NOA1s within a month! Remember, it does get backdated, so the clock actually starts with whatever date they put on your receipt (NOA1/WAC#) versus when the fee was collected.
Yes
Thanks so much for your response. I’m hoping that everything begins to pick up like how it use to be originally prior to COVID.
Also just plugged in my date that my package was signed for by USCIS which was 2/22 since I do know that they back date it. Just was curious for an estimate. Hoping it’s the same date when my NOA 1 is sent . I did read someone saying that theirs was not backdated, however that was just one person.
Thanks

This is all encouraging. I submitted Feb 13th but due to snow storms at that time, it was delivered Feb 25th Fedex. Hoping to get NOA1 by end of the month.

I have seen it taking a long time 8-10 months some cases 1 year. 1 year and half
Hi Luciana,
Thank you for your response , however I was talking about the process from NOA 1 to NOA 2 not the entire process.
For an example, I have a friend that did this prior to COVID 19, and it took less than 1 week to get her NOA 1 and less than 1 month to get her NOA 2.I was looking for more of testimonies who did this during the pandemic. However I think things are trying to get back to normal, slowly but at least they are trying
Not to mention politics, however I do believe Biden is trying to speed things up with USCIS
Thank you.

Hi everyone,
Anyone hear of any testimonies of the time frame from NOA 1 to NOA2 ?
Normally what would take a week, probably will take longer due to COVID 19 and the delays that has been cause by this.

Hello,
So I’ll be using a joint sponsor in case it’s asked for. I’ve been out of work for 1 year. I do have other means of income which should meet the requirement. However , I want my fiancé to be prepared and of course I wouldn’t want anything holding us back, so I’ve decided to add a joint sponsor, in case they look for more information.
My question is is the i-864 needed at the interview ? It says on line that a joint sponsor is to come pledge a i-864 form.
Anyone have any knowledge on requirements for joint sponsor or steps to take ?
Thank you
