Yes, Mom should be joint sponsor, but if her income is well over the minimum, there is no need to include assets.  If you do, stick to the liquid cash in the savings account.

Ok , last question (you’ve been such a big help) my current annual income is 33,280 with this new job which is about 6k more than the income requirement for a family of 3. I was Thinking about using just my income but my past years income don’t even come close. That wouldn’t be a problem right? Or do they use past years in consideration?

Is the dependent the household member's spouse?

If your "household member's" income is sufficient without combining with yours, they should act as joint sponsor and provide an I-864 as joint sponsor.  You will also provide an I-864 whether you have income or qualifying income.  If the joint sponsor is married, their spouse should provide an I-864a.

It can be confusing but just because a person lives in the same house, does not mean it is correct to have them ACT as household member on YOUR I-864.  Unless THEY need to combine income with you, they should be the joint sponsor, not YOUR household member.

Dependents don't provide I-864a, but spouses should, unless the spouse is the intending immigrant.

My Household members(my mom) income alone is enough for 5 i believe.  Ok so there is no need for my sister to provide her income . If i include My moms assets (bank account with over 20k) + her current income which is about 40k then i should switch her to a joint sponsor instead? Hmm

No.  I said a full year, not the rest of this year.  The question is not what is your current year income.  It's "Current Income".  Multiply your 640 by 52 weeks.  That is your current income.

Ok I’m using a households members income as well . But their hours vary between 40-50 hours per week how do i go about calculating??

More accurately, your gross income for a full pay period times the number of pay periods in a full year going forward.  Most folks are paid every two weeks so times 26.  Unless you are self employed, in which case it's the total income line for 2020.

Ok so if i just started a job on the 21st and weekly i make 640 before deductions so from June 21-January 1st that’s 27 weeks so 640x27 is 17280 . & from January1-June21 i was on unemployment would i calculate That the same and add it to the 17k to get my annual?
& should i attach an employment letter + a paystub?

Take the new one to the interview.  I don't remember ever seeing an RFE issued for this.

Ok so on the IV app it says the data entered on this page should match the travel document, that means i have to put the incorrect city where it asks place of birth doesn’t it? Wouldn’t that cause problems because it’s never been mentioned in the i130 or anywhere else for that matter?

  6. Hi everyone, I’m currently filling out the IV application in CEAC

problem is my husband’s passport has an error . They’ve listed another city within the Department/Province as his place of birth . Can i still provide this passports info in the mean time while we wait on the corrected one?
Do you think this would cause a RFE
We’ve submitted a new passport application a while ago and still no news about it . I was going to submit the new one before the interview .
Because in Haiti this seems to be a common problem and who knows how long it’ll take for the new one 🤦🏽‍♀️

Did you contact USCIS online Emma chat or phone customer service? If so Were you told by the customer service agent that your case was being processed at the Nebraska as well as NOA1, NOA2 came from Nebraska ?

Nope never contacted uscis . Just checked my case status online and it said Nebraska & both NOA1 & 2 came from Nebraska . Was approved in 2 months, took 2 days for NVC to receive the case I’ve paid both filing fees already now I’m waiting for them to process so i can move to the next steps

Will not happen. And I doubt if he is gonna reply to you because your text is not what he wants to know.

Don't you see he is selectively choosing what to answer? Regardless, I already knew what country we are dealing with based off the language in his first text. I just wanted to give him benefit of doubt.

I've punched a hole at the bottom of this glass. However, I'd like you to fill it with milk.. this is what is happening in this thread. We will be posing credible questions, but OP will be selectively on his reply.

I will keep off this one.

He answered the questions that you asked lol

I honestly believe that it all depends on whether you’re fortunate enough to get processed by Nebraska, because then your approval is in like 3 months probably.

Everyone else that gets transferred just is left with hope and prayers that the process doesn’t drag out longer than 10 months.

Yes my case was processed at Nebraska and based off other posts i read recently so have others with fast approvals . Some people sent their cases in after mine and got approved before me  even

WOW, that is so awesome!!! I and my spouse have been on the process of filling from Phoenix too but being someone who always wants to do something perfect, i'm reading as much as i could at the moment to avoid an RFE when we finally file this month. My questions, which i hope someone would have answers to are: 1. I'm in dilemma on how to do a copy of our marriage certificate( we would be filling by mail). Do we just make a photocopy of  the marriage certificate since we have just one original copy since USCIS websites says originals are not to be submitted. I would like to know the exact way you submitted yours.

    2. We plan to use our email address conversations over the past four years as proof of evidence( I still live in a foreign country), we haven't really lived together for long except on holidays. On my email address, i used my other names which arent my first or middle name as i'm from a tribe that gives more like 13 names to a child but we are only allowed to write down three, officially. Would me presenting this email as a evidence not be confusing as my official name is more like '' John Uche"(on all my documents) but the name i put on my gmail is Fred Oge which are my other names given at birth. I need advice please. This are the two basic things holding back our petition from flying.

    Thanks

As far as the marriage certificate yes just a regular photocopy (make sure to send a copy of the the back too if there is anything there) your spouse will need the original + a copy for the interview.

And as for as other names, there is a section on the i130 that asks for any other names you may be known by, i would input that name there as well as any other names. So that when you include the emails they’ll know that its you. You can also include a little note (maybe on the cover letter if you’re including one) on your full tribe name

I’m so jealous too 😂 every day just gets harder and harder seeing my daughter longing for her dad. She’s already 9 months old and never ever been physically together with her dad. They would only get to see each other through FaceTime. I’m not an emotional person but seeing my husband and daughter look at each other on screen just breaks my heart so much. I pray that service centres will speed up so we can reunite with our loved ones.

Aww i know How it feels, I’m on a visit now to see my husband with our son. My son is already so attached to his dad during this little time . I’m gonna cry when it’s time to go & back to video calls smh. I alresdy Feel in my soul that the Haiti consulate is going to take forever with appointments

Are most of you guys that have had approvals already paper filers? I think @top_secret filed online but what about everyone else ? :)

I filed paper, online didn’t give me options to write N/A or None in some slots and it was really a hassle to me to have to scan and upload things lol seeing as though i sent so much evidence . It was being actively reviewed on April 17 then approved on the 29th . I also saw a post on here where someone said someone at USCIS made an error when processing their credit card, so i went with a cashiers check instead

Hi everyone! Thank you for creating this thread. We applied on March 31, 2021 and received NOA1 the same day stating Nebraska as the service centre. I just have a quick question to those whose I-130 got approved fast. Do you and your spouse have kids?? I’m just keeping my hopes up since me and my husband have a daughter and they have never seen each other since I gave birth last year due to Canada-US restrictions. We can’t leave the country as I’m really scared for my daughter’s safety and my husband can’t take over a week off since he’s working as a doctor and dealing with covid patients. The minimum stay here in Canada is 15 days due to 14 days quarantine. I wish everyone’s application will move further because it’s just too hard to be away from our spouses.

Yes i have a newborn with my husband , submitted i130 feb 23rd i think, they were actively reviewing it on April 17, approved on the 29th, sent to NVC on May 1st already have a case number & i went ahead and paid my fees . Process is definitely moving faster than what i was expecting thank God

  14. On my marriage certificate vs my husbands birth certificate, his mothers name is misspelled on the marriage certificate (Haiti filing errors for you) . ( first name is missing a letter so are the middle and last name) i filled out the i130 & i130a according to the marriage certificate & the i130 has been approved . Should my husband get his birth certificate changed to match the marriage certificate (or vice versus, his mother is deceased) or is this not a big deal?
