  1. Haha! Yeah! Basically when you get there, you'll see a line up and then a security guard will either call an interview time or ask you for your interview time. They are really nice. Once they confirm your time with you, they bring you inside where you hand your passport to the first person and they check you in. I am sure they would let you in to double check your interview time if you have both conflicting documents. They are very friendly.
  2. Oh! That one! Interesting! My interview date remained the same from the original interview letter. WEIRD! In that case, I'd recommend just going in at 7:45 anyway with both your interview letter as well as the courier details and mention that two different times were provided so you're unsure. They have someone just inside that verifies everything so they will likely tell you the confirmed time when you are there.
  3. I would go off the date and time on your original interview letter. Worst case is your early and can go grab breakfast somewhere if you need to wait. It's right downtown so you have plenty of restaurant options Update: I just checked my courier information email I received when I set it up and my interview date and time is not on the confirmation at all. Do you have a screenshot of that spot of your confirmation at all so I can make sure I'm looking at the right info?
  4. Hey there! I know I'm not Nap782, but this thread is for CR-1 and I-RI visas. If you have a different visa you are waiting for, I recommend that you look for a thread dedicated to that specific visa as this one won't really help much if you are awaiting a different one
  5. Just called my border crossing LOL. The officer was hilarious: "You need to be seeking admission to the United States. Do NOT tell us you are turning right back around. Go get a drink, go get gas, go to Wal-Mart, but do NOT tell us you are turning right back around. Do you see what I'm saying?" LOL. She was hilarious. I think I'm just going to save the hassle and do everything at once haha. I'm glad she was funny and nice.
  6. Oh gosh! I couldn't find a thread about that. Sorry everyone!! That's stressful if that happens. I hope it doesn't! I'll hold for additional folks to chime in before I go ahead and do that.
  7. Morning everyone! I am lucky enough to live right by a land crossing to the US and I'm curious as to if I go across to activate it, can I immediately come back to Canada to complete my packing? I ask because I have a job waiting for me in the US and they would like to get the HR contract and logistics completed ASAP. Would it cause issues for a customs agent to see that on my file when I fly permanently? I would likely only be in Canada for an additional week max. Thanks in advance!!!
  8. You had a visitor visa and you're from Canada? Interesting. I never heard of that having a separate login. I hope someone can provide you with the proper info on this one!
  9. They asked me for the following: my long form birth certificate police report passport size photo marriage certificate petitioners W2 and tax return petitioners divorce decree That’s it. But it may vary with the person talking to you. Bring everything by above and additional stuff you want to bring. Over prepared is way better than under prepared.
  10. This is normal. Usually takes 48-72 hours for it to be available to register
  11. Your DS-260 number is on the page with the barcode that you need to bring with you to the interview and to your medical. I also believe your DS-260 number starts with AA. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
  12. Oh interesting. I don't think I had this note but I can't totally recall. If you already did it, I think you can ignore it as there is a note at the end "if it hasn't been done already"
  13. I think it’s best to have everything done the way they ask. You don’t want to get there and be denied your full medical review because you didn’t do something. This whole process, you should be overly prepared.
  14. They should be yes. Just have the copies on hand at your medical appointment.
  15. Email. They are super quick to respond. https://www.visadoctor.ca/en/us-medical
  16. I did not go through Dr Zatzman but I did go through another doctor in Toronto. Great experience. My review is here
  17. Oh great! I was not looking forward to making a full itemized list. I have WAY too many Christmas decorations I would have to go through lol. Thanks!!
  18. QQ for you!! Did you have to make a fully itemized list of everything in your Ubox?? God. That would take forever if so!
  19. Purolator delivered my visa/passport yesterday afternoon!! WOO!
  20. @NorthnerSouth98 I don't have my visa in hand but I got an email this morning that Purolator has my visa now and it's on it's way to me!
  21. Sure! I can definitely tag you! I'm a bit nervous with the "system being slow" BUT I believe I saw that before and it was fine. I paid for expedited delivery so hopefully I see the difference. She mentioned 2-3 weeks but I think that would be via standard post or pick up.
  22. Sorry! They also asked me the follwowing: Where have you travelled in the last 5 years? What was your longest stay in the US Have you ever overstayed in the US? Have you ever been denied entry to the US?
  23. Just got back from the consulate in Montreal and I am happy to say that I have been approved!! Well, we think LOL She said that she "intends to approve the visa" but the system is being slow/is down so she couldn't do it immediately. But I didn't get my passport handed back to me or the 221g handed over. The only paper she gave me was how to track the visa! My interview was scheduled for 8:30 but I got there at just before 8:10 because my Uber was far faster than I thought it would be. There were about 9 people ahead of me which was weird because they were all waiting for interviews at 9:15! There were two people behind me for 8:30 as well. At 8:15 the security guard asked me what my interview time was and he let me up right away. I walked in, handed the lady my passport, put my things in the X-Ray machine and then put my phone and smartwatch in the locker and headed upstairs. It took about 10 mins for my number to be called to go to the first window (Window 5) and she confirmed phone numbers and addresses and then asked me for the following documents: 1 Passport photo Police Certificate Birth Certificate Marriage Certificate My husband's divorce decree My husbands 2022 tax return and 2022 W2 She took my finger prints and then she sent me back on my way to the waiting room to wait for my interview. I waited for my interview for about an hour, almos 9:30 AM on the nose was my interview time. Who interview lasted just over 5 minutes. They asked the following: Name of the petitioner What is our relationship Where does he live Where did we meet When did we start dating What made us decide to get married "Tell me about your wedding" Did you read the pamphlet and if I had questions about it Then she said she intends to approve it. And off I went! All in all pretty painless. My stomach was still in knots throughout the whole thing!
