When I check the case status on https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx, I get IN TRANSIT and then:  Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

Actually ours works differently than the others. We have to book medical first then once we get results we submit a notice of readiness so the embassy can schedule us for an interview. You better book your medical now because its all packed up. My case was ready since May 3 but can’t proceed since my medical is June!

Received the email from NVC today, but still no change on what the USCIS case status says (still "Case Received"). Anything to worry about there? Also, do I wait for the embassy to contact me regarding the interview now, and go from there?

Did they give you your case number? You can book your medical now actually. The embassy will email your petitioner about the instructions on how to proceed once they receive the petition from NVC.

I had my interview at the London Embassy yesterday and with great pleasure I can say that the visa got approved!!!! The process was super smooth and efficient.

It has been a long journey, but all worth it! We're so happy and we're getting ready for our new beginning finally 🙂

I wish all the best to the rest of you and to meet your loved ones very soon 😀

    Congratulations!!!!

Oh... they really are testing our patience lol. Are you able to schedule your interview date knowing you have your medical date?

Things kind of flew and I wasn't emotionally ready for lol

We didn't get our p3 by email (even I gave them our emails), so it got delayed (mail sent may 4, and we only received it may 9 by postal mail). But I sent it out yesterday, and got p4 today lol and scheduled my medical and interview. However, they are busy too and I might not get the medical result on time for the interview, so it might delay the approval. I hope that's the only issue and things will go smoothly for you guys!

Wow, the processes really are different in each embassy.

Unfortunately, they want us to have the medical results on hand then submit the "Notice of Readiness" before they can schedule us an interview. They might schedule you in a week's time so if you haven't got your medical results yet, you will be much more delayed waiting for another date. I'm not quite sure but they said not to risk it.

What is inside packet 4? That's great that you're the ones booking your interviews though. At least you'll have an estimate date on when you can enter the US. If you show up in the interview without the medical results, would they still interview you but submit the 221g for the medical results?

Honestly have no clue, but it's been two weeks so why haven't they gotten this physical document they speak of?

Just this morning I received the official NVC letter. Maybe that's what they meant? I'm not sure either.

Damn that's rough!! Did you guys get the Email to schedule the appointment? Or a physical packet?

Yes, we got the packet but thru email, its a pdf file. It says we have to book and complete the medical and once we get the result we have to email the embassy to let them know so they can book our interview. But the month's waiting for the medical, it's kinda long wait.. We were hoping to celebrate fourth of July together but I don't think it's happening.

My fiancée emailed the embassy and this is the response she got. I wasn't aware there was an electronic file.

    Dear Ms. Nisha Roy,

Thank you for your inquiry. We have only received your case electronically at our Mumbai Post. However, we are still awaiting the physical file. We will get in touch with you, once we are in receipt of the physical file.

Are they waiting for the official NVC letter? Like the physical paper?

Received our NVC case number yesterday.  Just trying to understand the next and most important steps, and what if anything can be done before the Embassy gets the application

    Thanks

    Thanks

I'm afraid each embassy process is different. While waiting for your case to be sent to your embassy, fill out your ds160, complete the i134, police certs and other requirements needed for the interview. Maybe you can also book your medical since they only require the case number. But as I said, it depends on your embassy. Maybe try reading on your country portal to see how the process goes after receiving the case number?

Our case is Ready. However, I haven’t received any email from the embassy yet. How long does it usually take before the embassy emails you with the instructions? I have done the DS160 though I haven’t paid anything yet. And I also have booked the medical already but the earliest available appointment is still on June 9.

Disregard my question. My fiancé received the email instructions from the embassy. I just thought I was the one receiving it.

I filled out the i134 before they updated the form. It cost me $104 to ship it to my fiance. Does that mean I have to fill out a new one?

Wow! That’s quite expensive! I was thinking of printing and filling it out myself and have my fiancé fill out the page where his sign is needed then have it scanned then I’ll print it out. To answer your question, according to the USCIS site:

“The edition date is 4/25/2022. You can use the old form till June 27, 2022, but best to use the new form for those of you who are still waiting for the consulate interview.”

If your interview is before June 27, 2022, I think the old form should be okay. However of it’s after that date, I think you’ll have to use the updated one.

Yes, the new I-134 (Edition Date 4/25/2022) is very confusing.

Item 17 can be interpreted as a more detailed version of the old Question 38?

    https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/622135-i-134-question-38-contributions/

But now, you have to list or itemize specific income contributions to the beneficiary and dependents?

The descriptions on the form I134 itself "Provide information about the beneficiary's income and assets" and "Income contribution to the beneficiary annually" doesn't seem to be very clear?

I can see this being a big forum discussion or the source of many confusions.

    I134new.PNG

I got confused with this part too! If I’m the beneficiary, does that mean I have to list my present annual income? But then I will have no job once I arrive in the US. And also with the assets, if I own a property should I also have them listed and bring the proof during the interview? T.T Honestly the old form is much simpler than the new one though. Can someone enlighten us on how to properly fill this out..

What is this packet everybody keeps talking about? Please enlighten me 😊😊😊

I thinks its the email from the embassy on how to proceed then. To book the medical and interview or pay for fees and what to bring on the interview.

My case is ready for interview!! My fiancee just needs to wait for her packet to come in the mail and her PCC records!! Then she can schedule her interview and medical exam!! Woooo

Congratulations! That was fast! Ours is still In Transit!

Greetings and best wishes to all,

We just had our interview, and was approved!!! See our Timeline.

Looking back at my June 2021 post predicting our interview date to be mid-April 2022, we were actually fairly accurate thanks to the Visajourney stats pages.

    https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/758635-march-2021-k1-i-129f-filers/?do=findComment&comment=10475467

Our NOA2 took longer than expected, but that was made up with a reduced NVC processing time. But the interview date prediction was fairly accurate.

So to those who have not filled out your Timeline, please complete it so that your data helps Visajourney improve the stats pages.

    https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php

    Thanks, and keep the faith!!!

    Congratulations!!!!!! 🎉🥳🥂
