When your paper work is fine, proof of relationship is fine... nothing is gonna happen. You should state the perfect reason why parents wont be accompanying.... everyone lives together after marriage... thats not the reason you should give. The reason you can give are job constraints, time constraints, health of the parents , money constraints and if any other. It depends if you have love or arranged marriage too. If girls relatives cant be there... atleasts the boys in the USA will be... least thr 2 friends.....

its a waste of time... to wait.. i waited for 1 month and nothing arrived. then went to local office.. applied in person by filling form SS-5 and took with my passport and original birth certificate. SSN card arrived in 10 days
