They're only humans. They can be mistaken, misinformed, too busy or not bothered to help you. It's unusual to have interview waived but no approval or green card produced. Meaning, it's not certain your interview was waived.

None of us here know how USCIS works and I am not worried about my GC. But the users reply was negative. It’s demoralizing.

If your name was legally changed when you married, you will most likely need to change your name through the courts in the county you reside in.

When I got the marriage license it had my maiden name on it. Everything has maiden name in it except the form I-485 which has last name as married one. So confused what to do, and how to do it.

Tier 1 officer most likely and tier 1 officers know less than a bucket of rocks.

He also mentioned at what date it was waived. Happened in July. Strange

Because your I-485 interview might be waived you should write a letter to the uscis service center , noting your  case number and name and request that your name be changed to your original name.

    Include a copy of:

    - I-485 receipt

    - birth certificate

    - passport biographic and signature page

This is not guaranteed to work.

Last time I contacted them they told me my interview is waived.

Re-reading the OP, it is not clear.  Originally, it seemed to indicate that the marriage was over, but now it seems they are asking if the marriage had now passed the 2nd anniversary, but the CGC still showed a year validity.

To the OP, can you clarify what you are asking?  If you are planning to file the I751 jointly with your spouse then you have to wait until 90 days according to the date on your CGC, not your wedding anniversary.  If divorced and filing the I751 with a waiver you can file anytime.

I am asking to file jointly. The marriage is over 2 years(anniversary)but we will have one year left on green card expiration so if we can go ahead and apply for removing conditions based on the fact that marriage is now over 2 years.
Based on many answers here we cannot as we are married and going to file jointly.

Hey guys, I got my notice for my I-485 interview for March 1st & after reading through the recommended evidence for ongoing relationship I started to panic a bit.

Due to SSA messing me around, I never got my SSN so most things I could never get.

So far aside from photos from our wedding ceremony in California (we had our actual wedding a few months before this at the courthouse to stay within the 90 days)… I’ve been able to be added as an authorized user to my husbands credit card & we have a Sam’s club membership together.

He’s going to be talking to his work on Monday about a possible loop hole they may have managed to find to get me on his health insurance (it’s not open enrolment) so that’s a possibility!
Our lease isn’t due for renewal until after the appointment date so I cant be added to that in time to use it as evidence either.

Is there any other ideas you guys have that I could use? Or do you think these things will be enough?

I did check off for USCIS to apply for SSN for me due to not being able to get one in time, so I’m hoping they’d be understanding that most things require an SSN to be added to (eg bank accounts, car insurance, bills etc)

Same situation as yours. Couldn’t get my SSN, but AOS is pending.

my spouse contacted landlord add my name in the lease of house, plus health insurance has my name and go to your electric bill company website and add authorize user as your name. A lot of it don’t really need SSN.

This is the exact same RFE we received. Similarly to you, I make well over the income guidelines and had completed the document and given the relevant info upon our concurrent filing. We did not include W2s but had given the tax transcripts, a letter from my employer, 6 months of pay stubs.

Just do everything the letter says. I uploaded all requested info within a few hours of receiving the RFE, and the status was updated soon after.

Did you resubmitted i-864 online and uploaded it?

My heart is sore as l write this.
I’ve been in the US for a little over 2 months now on K1 and sadly our relationship seems to be stuck. A little backstory : we tried for a year and a half to get me a visitors visa and that failed, we were told to apply for a K1 instead. My partner has cancer so the process was painful. Covid was painful. He visited and stayed a month here and there and everything was perfect although some days he felt sick.
    I love this man.
But since my arrival in the US he isn’t the same person l knew for 3yrs. He’s miserable, he’s sick he’s in pain and l do not know what to do at times. He snaps he yells at me he tells me everything is none of my business when l try to have discussions.
He also refused to discuss marriage. He said he would plan everything by himself.
He doesn’t want to go anywhere, doesn’t want to do anything as a family, he hates my daughter and constantly tells her how my nephew who’s back in Africa is so much better than her.
He’s a executive, work from home but doesn’t do much which I thought was a great thing and we can get to spend time together. I woke him up after he’d been sleeping a few days ago and he said if l do that again he will kill me.
constantly tells me he will send me back to Africa.
he hates that I am somewhat independent but doesn’t want to assist me when l ask for anything.
my daughter got into school and she’s been doing really well my heart breaks to pull her out and move back home but I feel l have no choice.
why do partners feel they can abuse the other just because they are the US citizen, I do not know if this is being caused by his cancer medicines or if he’s just not interested in me anymore. Ps we haven’t been intimate since l got here 2 months ago. He hasn’t touched me in a sexual way and he hasn’t shown any sort of affection. The most I’ve gotten and managed to sneak in was a kiss on the lips like a little kid.
I went through his phone and he is in close contact and has phone sex with a certain ex.
I guess l don’t really need any advice l just needed to vent.

This is truly awful to go through. He is manipulating you and with your immigration status. If I were you I would get out as soon as possible and specially the daughter of yours don’t need all of this. By what you said he is also giving predator vibes. Get your daughter out of there.

my fiance already has both shots for the covid virus. I was wondering,  for the K1 Visa if she could get the MMR, Tetnus, Hepatitis B Etc vaccines in Brazil prior to her interview. I was wondering if that's acceptable.. Or does it have to be in the united states.   Than you

When your fiancé will do his medical they will give him the option to either get the vaccine in his very own country at that very particular medical center or in US. At the medical your fiancé has already submitted DS160 and in that form if he said yes to a question whether he has the appropriate vaccination then he needs to get those vaccine at medical center in his own country. They will give the vaccine to him on his medical day appointment.

Sorry for peppering you with questions but I am hoping you can help me with this

So we finally got NVC Case number, hoping that our file makes it to the embassy soon

I have already filled out DS160 on CEAC website, but I have not submitted it, when exactly should I submit it? Seems like common consensus is when your case is at the embassy? what was your experience on that

for I134, I have also had it ready, do we take it in person to the interview or at some point after the file gets to the embassy we will get an option to upload all these

also, you were approved on 12th of October, have you receieved the passport yet?

again thanks for all your help

You need to track you case on CEAC website by putting NVC case number which I believe you have at this point. You get that number by calling NVC or also they email your petitioner. On CEAC it will show status of your case and when it says “Ready” then you need to submit DS-160 and next step is making an account on Ustraveldocs for interview appointment.
then you need medical appointment after getting an interview date. (You need to check for your approved medical center whether they accept the vaccine you have received if not better get The approved vaccine first)
For K1 no document gets uploaded. So you have to take every document with you. You MUST take I-134 Affidavit of support with you during for interview or they won’t approve the visa and refuse it. Also, make sure you take petitioners tax returns or tax tax transcripts. I took both and they ended up taking tax transcripts.

yes, my visa got approved on 12th October and I got my visa on hand just yesterday

    Thanks

We're you able to upload all the required documents via CEAC or you had to take them all in person during interview? Have you already received your passport with visa?

You have to take the documents to the interview if you are going through fiancé visa. I am waiting for passport to pick up. It’s issued on CEAC. Waiting for courier call.

Do you require police certificate for the K1 visa in Pakistan? If yes from all police stations where she lived or only recent residence.

I appreciate a response with some concrete background if you can please.

Couldn't find on US embassy site

No you do not need police certificate for Pakistan, however if your fiancée lived in a country outside Pakistan for more than 6 months then it’s needed from that particular country.

  13. I read that in august 25th on my country’s medical website. It said either CDC or WHO approved vaccine. So the next day I had to go and get Sinopharm. Still waiting for second shot. Takes 30 days for second shot. Go to any medicla clinic and ask them for Pfizer, Moderna  or sinopharm or astra Zeneca. If Pakistan has all of these available I am sure they are available there as well.

I totally understand! its so stupid that they skipped an entire date but you don't want them to continue December before putting the request in. I would submit my inquiry asap with USCIS and Ombudsman.

As USCIS is facing unprecedented case processing backlogs, our office is also experiencing a record number of requests for case assistance. We have a plan in place to respond to all pending requests by the end of September 2021. Eliminating our backlog and scaling up the office's capacity to serve customers are my top priorities. I believe that setting clear expectations as to when our office can and cannot provide assistance will enable us to serve the public more efficiently.

The CIS Ombudsman Can Help With:

By the way we did put in an inquiry in June. And no response to this very day. When you try to call them then again they won’t let you through. You can’t put a new inquiry cause they won’t let you as your old one has not been resolved. This is how it is.
