we have noa2 date of May 16 and haven’t heard anything about a case number or our application being sent to our embassy!

    What’s the email?

The email address on the NOA2 letter I received is nvcinquiry@state.gov . It says you should allow 30 days for processing before emailing to check in. Hope this helps!

Congrats! Did you do anything after you receive your NOA2? I got my NOA2 on 5/28/22, and still nothing at the moment.

Thank you! No, I didn’t do anything. If I didn’t hear anything this week, I was going to email NVC with the email address on the NOA2 letter I got. I think you can email them once you hit the 30 day mark, according to that letter. I hope you hear soon!!

Congratulations!! Did they request any documents from you?

It mostly said they are now sending the application to our embassy and gave us our case number.

it said this word for word:

“Please note that the transfer process can take several weeks. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate will contact your fiancé (e)/spouse when they are ready to process his or her petition.

    Next steps:
Go to our website http://nvc.state.gov/k1 to learn how to apply for a K visa and prepare for the visa interview.”

these were the only steps provided!

Received an email that we are in transit to the Montreal consulate today!

    NOA1: April 14, 2021

    NOA2: May 20, 2022

    In transit: June 7, 2022

I never heard anything from NVC. I was expecting an email with a case number, but this came first!

Congratulations!! Did you provide an email anywhere to get the transit email notice? Or do they have your email from your original application?

thank you for the help in advance :)

Same! I guess what we have to do is to wait for NVC to get our cases, which may takes about a month? And once we have our case number from NVC, we can track the status with the link following

    https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV

Once the case has arrived at the embassy, then make an appointment.

Okay cool! Thank you! Has your fiancé started working on the DS-160 application, or is it too early for that? Some of that isn’t super clear to me but I know NVC should also send some next steps. So happy for you to get your approval too!

I spoke with a tier 2 officer today who (surprise surprise) didn’t help at all 🙂 she claimed that she wasn’t able to see at all where my case is at but claimed CSC has a timeline of 11 months and that mine is out of normal processing time, so she put in a service request to CSC to get an update I guess. Not sure if it will be helpful but we’ll see. The confirmation email reads I-130 so that’s concerning but I’m hoping it’s a mistake. 383 days here

How did you get a hold of a person on the phone? I can never get through when I call!
