  1. When I checked my case yesterday, I saw this notice, which does say that my case is being transferred to California. I'm not sure where they would have sent your application if not CSC. Good luck anyway.

Thanks a lot USCIS!!! You've been so good to us from the very beginning.

Congrats! Am I right in thinking that your case did not get sent to CSC and yet you still didn't have an interview?

I checked online and I find this. So put us down for a big thank you to USCIS.:dance::dance: now we wait for our 2 year. Now I glad I did not file the EAD. I took a chance and it worked out.

    Scott and Nadya

Great news , now you can celebrate.
  4. That's what I was thinking. The question came from the husband of my wife's cousin. Apparently she is having some second thoughts about her decision and may decide to return to her home country. I advised him to wait on AOS until they resolve it, since there is no penalty for waiting a few months . If she decides to go, I advised him to get a divorce or annullment before she leaves.

I'm sorry to see this happen to them. They're both nice people but maybe not right for each other.

There may be no "penalty" for waiting a few months to submit AOS, however she could be accruing overstay time which could result in a pretty hefty penalty as a result.

They are already married, so staying a few months would not cause her to have an overstayas you can file aos anytime after marriage.

  5. I don't know if this helps. I am already in the US, my husband and I don't have health insurance as yet and I am 11 weeks pregnant however my baby qualified for medicaid and because I am carrying the baby I too qualify until the baby is born . My baby will continue to qualify for medicaid until he/she is one year old. So if you come to US to deliver your baby then I'm sure you will qualify especially since you are a US citizen. It also does not interfere with your aos. Good luck.

  6. Hello VJ,

    I'm home and I'm .....APPROVED!!!!!!

So I promised an accurate report of my experience and here goes...

We left the house at 10 am to get to Philly, we were there with about forty minutes to spare, we looked for a coffeespot and didn't find any so

we went in at 10.45, went through the checkpoint and everyone was curtious and to the point, just like the airport.

We went up to the 3rd floor and went into the waiting room and handed in our letter to the receptionist, sat down and waited for our 11.20 which ended up being 11.30.I heard my first name and saw an older man with a really friendly face.

We went through the door and into his office, we remained standing and took our oath(very simple and quick).

Then we were seated and I was so nervous I kept wanting to just get things out in the right order...He continued by talking to my husband about what he did etc,...I then started to calm down because I realized they were just chatting! He then asked us some is this your name and your birthdate type questions and then asked some NO questions....He was chatting about us , himself all through it and I could tell he wasn't being calculated but very genuine.

He only wanted to see the pics because he loves to see the world and he asked about our income we wanted to give him all these copies but he didn't want them, he just needed to know we had them...

We were in there for a good forty minutes because it was pleasant and a good chat, my husband was asking him all sorts and he was glad to reply...

At the end, he told us that he does this to build America through one good family at a time and he said I'm happy to say welcome to America!

Not only was our experience pleasant but it only took 91 days! This IO impressed me so much and I can't help but admire someone like him, he loves what he does and it showed.

I was so inspired and felt so happy and gratefull.

My GC should be here in 2 weeks.

I now know it's true, if you really are married and a real couple, you have nothing to worry about, it's actually quite fun, like graduating!

    Congratulations.
  7. You don't have to file before Nov 6th. It sounds like you were married within the 90 day timeframe and that is all you have to do, obvioulsy the quicker you can file for aos the better. I don't know much about fee waiver but if you don't qualify maybe you can save al ittle until you can afford the fee. I did hear you say you are strapped for cash, but as a last resort maybe you have to wait. Good luck anyway.

  8. I'm from Scotland and had my medical the day before my interview. There is a delay of about 4-7 days in getting your visa but it's much better than having to travel twice as it can be expensive. The other thing that happenend when I had my medical which was unexpected I was given the option of having MMR and tetnus vaccinations as my childhood vaccinations had ran out. I chose to have it done as it avoids having to get it done in the U.S but it is an added expense I can't remember how much, something in the region of another 100. Good Luck

  9. If K-1 visa is approved at final interview,do they keep youre passport to send with visa or is passport

returned before the visa(on the day of interview) ????????????Thanks

I think it depends whether they have your medical information or not. I had my medical the day before therefore the info wasn't available to them. I was asked if they could keep my passport and send it to me along with my visa a week later which they did.
