I had applied for both my parents 07/19/2020. Dad’s case was in Texas and mom’s was Potomac. Dad got approved 02/25/2021 and got his visa already 07/12/2021.
Mom’s case was approved 05/12/2021 and she has visa interview for 07/30/2021.
I hope everyone get their approval and visa soon. The waiting game is tough!

Hello everybody, any updates on the cases? I applied for my mom August 2020 and still haven't heard anything. I have a friend who applied for her mom in January 2021 and she got approved today. My case is in Potamoc service center. I emailed them and they said if it is not out of proccessing times I needed to keep waiting but how long I still need to wait? Thanks
My mom’s case was approved May 12. PD July 19 2020 Potomac. Hopefully yours will be approved soon, I have seen couple of July filers getting approved recently 😊

That means your petition is in Potomac. It was the same case for me. My mom’s petition was in Texas and was transferred to Potomac. I never got any notice of transfer. It happens.

Hi, was the welcome letter sent to the Petitioner, Beneficiary or both? I haven't received the welcome later as yet. What's the email subject or sender? I want to use it to do a search of my email since I receive a lot of emails daily.
It was sent to both

Great. Thanks so much Ashika. Since PD for my parents is July as well and it is Texas SC, hopefully will get an update for their case soon. Question - 1) Can you apply for police certificate before you get approved? I was thinking my parentscan start working on it until we get the approval. 2) Did you get the tax transcript from IRS website? 3) Are all these documents mailed or are they uploaded. Thank you!
I hope you get the approval soon.
1.Yes you can apply for the police certificate but they are time sensitive, my country has only 6 months validity. You can’t upload the expired certificate.2. Yes I got the transcript from IRS website
3.I uploaded everything online, nothing mailed.

In the current state, the ban wouldn’t have any impact on July filers as by the time the ban is lifted, the petitions would still be NVC.
True.
let’s pray it won’t be extended further 😊

Technically, from what I understand, the ban affect issuance of ir5 visa, but other steps towards the visa issuance are not directly impeded by the ban. Hoping it will expire next year so they can resume the interviews for ir5.
You are absolutely right. Let’s hope this ban won’t be extended.

Potomac used to have the fastest processing time which changed recently, therefore it could change again. Just remain hopeful, you might be surprised that your mom ends up getting approved before your dad.
Fingers crossed

That’s good. Already making progress. Good luck.
Do you think it’s a good sign? But Potomac has longer processing time than Texas.
-
Well, my mom’s case got transferred to Potomac service center on 28th July but dad’s case is still in Texas service center.
